A spacious, comfortable apartment sleeping up to 5 people. A corner position, it has the advantage of 2 balconies ideal for that all day sun. Recently renovated with new bathroom and kitchen and tiled floors throughout. A 15 minute, taxi ride from Faro Airport, once there a car is no longer needed. Within one minute walking distance there is the local Spar Supermarket which has everything you need and Bank with cash point.

Basic apartment in a non-tourist area
Our family has rented a villa/house/apartment in Portugal every summer for the last 30 years and unfortunately this apartment was the worst, by far. It is in an ugly residential block in a quiet residential area and at least a 10/12 minute walk from the marina. The residents dogs barking and their babies crying kept us awake every night and the door banging and drunk/loud inconsiderate residents kept us awake for quite a lot of each night too! Sleeping was extremely difficult, not just because of the constant noise, but also because there was no aircon in the bedroom. It felt like an oven. The apartment is small and advertised that it sleeps 5 .... 4 of us went on holiday but there are just 2 main rooms, a good sized bedroom with twin beds (which had thin uncomfortable mattresses, flat sheets that did not fit the mattress and small flat pillows) and a small lounge with an ill-equipped kitchenette area - no kettle for starters!! a basic requirement for self-catering, I think). My 17 & 18 year old 6 feet tall sons slept on the sofa beds in the lounge and said they were just about ok for them to crash on but probably not for an older person to sleep on. This is a second floor apartment advertised with 2 balconies. The doors to each balcony were not lockable and I therefore did not feel totally safe. The bedroom balcony had no furniture on it at all so could not be used and the lounge balcony had a small old rickety table and 2 old chairs (advertised for 5 people, remember!). Also, the balcony railings were rusty and in a very poor state so we could not really make any use of the balconies. There is a small ancient portable tv that we did not turn on, so we tried to stay out of the apartment for as long as we could.
Overall, we were very disappointed with this apartment and felt that it did not warrant price we paid for the 5 nights we stayed, however, we booked late to join friends who were staying in a nearby 5* hotel and availability in Vilamoura was limited. We now wished we'd paid the extra and stayed at the hotel too.
The only positive thing i can say is that the agent looking after this property was EXTREMELY helpful with everything, thank you Paula.
Holiday in Vilamoura
The accommodation was excellent and easy to manage, the views from the balcony were wonderful and the location was first class. The Marina is well worth a visit with its restaurants and bars and I am certainly looking forward to going back again late in the year

He wanted a location that allowed him to be part of everday Portuguese life in a local community but with access to the vibrant tourist areas around the Marina and beach when that suited him. This apartment fits the bill perfectly.”
Activity and Interests
The apartment is a 5 minute stroll on the level from Marina Beach and a 10 minute walk to Falesia Beach. Marina Beach has a number of bars and relaxation areas along with the the well known PuroBreach facilities. Falesia Beach has fantastic red rock formations and boasts an array of services and amenities, including water sports.
Faro Airport is a 15 minute taxi drive away. There is also a direct bus route.
Quarteira was originally a traditional fishing village with it's own harbour and market place. It offers a quieter location for evening entertainment in contrast to Vilamoura which is full of lively bars, restaurants and night-life to suit all tastes and pockets.
