fantastic holiday

We had a fantastic two weeks at cottontail cottage finding it an ideal central location. The cottage was a home from home with the only issue being we could not get the tumble dryer to work. The shared garden was not an issue even with two dogs . We would definitely recommend this cottage to families with dogs and will go back ourselves when time allows. Staveley village has everything you need with places to eat and nice walks

I bought the run down cottage to develop as I love old properties. Staveley is great location, at the base of the Kentmere valley with good transport links and a great community spirit so it seemed perfect for my first holiday let.

Windermere 5mins away.

Market town of Kendal 10mins away.

Ambleside 15 mins away.

4 pubs, Watermill a short walk from the village, the duke and the eagle and child and the brewery all serving meals. A bakery, spar, 1 restaurant, 2 cafes. And assortment of small shops. The cycle superstore.Free use of Parklands country club at the Burnside Hotel in Bowness on Windermere (which includes pool steam room ,jacuzzi,sauna,bar).
