Very convenient for Calahonda's shops, restaurants, bars, banks and supermarkets, it also benefits from easy access links and public transport should you wish to explore further afield. The beach is 300m away, as is the taxi rank and bus stop. The area boasts over 30 golf courses along the coast, or you can enjoy the neighbouring towns Marbella, Fuengirola, Capobino Beach with marinas, water parks and zoos plus more! Very nice apartment in lovely complex

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It also now has english TV. Although some problems at the beginning of our stay, the owners were quick to help to put things right.

The complex has beautiful gardens and a good size pool. Lots of nearby English bars and restaurants. The beach is also not far away and has a boardwalk which allows you to stroll along the sea front this also contains lots of nice bars and cafes. The local bus stops are also not far away and only a few euros so that you can explore the nearby towns.

If I had to pick fault which is very difficult as owner and apartment are great, it would be that if arriving late at night the directions to the agent could do with explaining, maybe with a simple map and a photo of the outside of the shop.The location and picture of the key box would also be very helpful too.It's quite dark outside the shop and putting in the code is fiddly, so for older visiters it could be difficult. As we had difficulty in finding it and had to ask at the local bars. But saying that the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help.

We shall be returning to the apartment and would highly recommend it.

Very comfortable and nicely decorated apartment . Central location close to beach and shops

Had a really lovely stay at medina del zoco would thoroughly recommend . The apartment has been newly refurbished to a very high standard and was everything we had hoped for couldn't fault it at all . We have stayed in the area before because it offers everything you could want , it's walking distance to the beach , there are plenty of restaurants and shops but it isn't noisy at night . The complex is small and friendly and for lots of the residents it's their home so it's well maintained , secure and the pool is lovely . Hoping we can book next year the owners were very helpful from making the booking to instructions about collecting keys it was all very professional and we were lucky enough to meet the owner who had been out to refurb , just to say your hard work really showed and it was nice to meet you

Lovely 2 week holiday

Had a lovely 2 week holiday at Medina Del Zocco.

We've just returned from a lovely 2 week holiday in Calahonda.

We booked our apartment with Chris and Anne and have to say that they are the best owners we have ever dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so attentive to our needs for a trouble free holiday from start to finish.

The apartment is ideally located in Calahonda in close proximity to shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. It's also only a short 5 minute walk to the beaches.

We used the large communal pool most of the time and it's literally feet from the rear apartment garden. The pool and gardens are well kept and there is also a small pool for the kids.

The apartment is fully furnished and has everything you will need. It is a ground floor apartment but is very secure with decorative gates and window security. There is also a small safe for the use of residents.

Calahonda itself is quite small and relatively quiet so suited us well. However public transport to Fuengirola or Marbella is easily accessible and if you hire a car then Gibraltar and Ronda are just over an hour away. Mijas which is a lovely traditionally Spanish village is only about 20 minutes away.

If you need a comfortable relaxing environment to enjoy your holiday and recharge your batteries then we very much recommend a booking with Chris and Anne.

Lovely Apartment & Surroundings

Nice spacious and clean apartment. Ideal with 2 bathrooms when all getting ready at the same time and both bedrooms are also spacious.

Nice to sit out on the Sun Terrace to relax with breakfast and in the evening.

Complex is very nice and maintained by the Gardiner. Complex is also near to many restaurants and bar's where you do not need to drive to get to. Local beach across the road also good although a little rocky but has Life Guards in attendance.

We have had great holidays here and will return again..

Relaxing Time

We had a lovely time and found everything very clean and comfortable.

Had a relaxing holiday which was exactly what we needed.

Only minor point was no sunbeds on patio and they didn't want you to take from poolside.

Coast/Beach:

Calahonda beach is a 5 minute walk away, or the beach and town of La Cala is another must to visit. If you fancied a stroll along the beach, head right towards Marbella and after about quarter of an hour you will come across Cabopino beach, allowing you to enjoy the sun, sand and beach bars the Costa del Sol has to offer!

Travel:

Only 30 minutes from Malaga airport, or Gibraltar and Granada airports being approximately an hours drive away, you can be enjoying the sun within a few hours of leaving home in the UK!

Car hire is not essential due to the public transport availability, but should you choose to do so, car hire is available from either the operators at the airport or alternatively across the road from the complex.

Distances:

Marbella 15 mins - Malaga 30 mins - Mijas 25 mins - La Cala 10 mins - Capobino 10 mins - Puerto Banus 20 mins - Ronda 1 1/2 hrs - Fuengirola & Benaldemena 15 mins - Granada 2 1/2 hrs - Gibraltar 1 hr - Seville 2 1/2 hrs(Estimated time by car). Theses are just a few of the many places to see and visit!

Further Details:

Calahonda boasts: Supermarkets, gift/tobacconist/newsagents, bank, chemist, restaurants, hairdresser all with walking distance of the apartment.

Water sports, golf, tennis, sailing all on your doorstep. In the winter months only 2 hours away is the beautiful Sierra Nevada for a spot of skiing in the morning then back to the coast to soak up the sun in the afternoon - perfect!

Many attractions including the huge water park, zoo, Sea World, Selwo Dolphins, Safari Parks, Go-Karts, Tivoli World Amusement Park or the Crocodile Park to name but a few; towns and villages to explore and enjoy - don't forget Gibraltar is tax exempt (no VAT!) but don't forget to take your passport.

  • Air conditioning is not installed but 2 powerful ceiling fans are in the living and dining area and there are 2 portable upright fans for the bedrooms; the apartment has been built and designed to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. A safe is fitted for your personal valuables; passports, wallets & phones/tablets etc. The community is suitable for families with children and elderly guests. With the terrace and garden overlooking the pools it's great to keep an eye on the kids. The apartment's large private sun terrace and garden area is south facing and gives easy access to the beautiful, green and lush communal gardens and large shared pool and small paddling pool (both unheated) where sun loungers are provided for you to use. Private tennis courts are also available FOC to the side of the complex. The communal areas are privately positioned away from view of non-residents. The complex is accessed only by key / resident access only. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: All bed linen and towels are provided / included. Cleaning and linen changes are done on the changeover of guests. Extra cleaning and towel and linen changes can be arranged at a small additional charge.
