About the Owner

My name is Darren Jewitt, I have a construction firm, and live here on the Costa del Sol since 10 years. As a professional builder I am always improving details on my house and am quite proud of it. The villa has just had a new kitchen fitted with care to every details, and I have just finished re-furbished the back-porch to make it look really smart and perfect for a relaxing evening.

During summer I stay at a neighbours house to take care of it while he is away, so I am only a few minutes away in case you need me!

Paradise house

We stayed in this house for two weeks,very welcoming house, cosy, it has everything you need, well equipped, everything works,.The views of the mountains, the village, the sea and the nature were fantastic. The pool is beautiful.

The house is situated a bit higher and further from the crowd so it is a very quiet area.

Benajarafe is a very nice small village with a lot off terraces, restaurants and shops, a shoping centre not fun and what makes it more attractive, from there you can easily travel to other towns you want to visit not far from Malaga, Marbella, Mijas pueblo.

Thank you Darren and Myriam (the owners) for everything, they not only made our stay enjoyable but they went far from this when they helped us to celebrate my husband's birthday by buying the cake for us.

Definitely would recommend this house for a family with teens, children or babies.

Beautiful

Modern spacious villa, which is tucked away to provide privacy and the most amazing views over Benajarafe. Pool and garden provide ample space to relax and enjoy the sun, with areas of shade for those sunniest times, the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with the modern and well equipped kitchen were great for us, we barely used the lounge as we spent all our time outside. Darren the owner is on hand if you need any help on places to eat or visit. The local beach along with shops and cafes are so close you don't have to leave Benajarfe at all if you don't want to. This is Spanish Spain at its best, unspoilt, friendly, fantastic. Great villa, great stay - thank you

A Spectacular Villa with Breathtaking Views

The villa is situated at the top of a hill so that it overlooks the village and the med. The views are breathtaking and the pictures could never do them justice.

Inside the property is immaculate with everything you could need for a great stay. The kitchen and the bathrooms are real features of the property, but the whole villa has been subject to great attention to detail. You can feel that the villa has been a labour of love for the owners.

Outside, the garden is established and well cared for. The layout has been designed and well thought out. There are great suntraps as well as shaded areas to escape the sun and enjoy the views. The barbecue is traditional with a large prep area and sink, its easy to use and right next to the lovely outside dining area.

Benajafe is a beautiful little fishing village, it is very Spanish. It hasn't been over commercialised, and you get a real taste of the culture and the people that make a holiday special. The restaurants along the beach serve amazing tapas and freshly caught seafood, and are great value for money.

Darren and Myriam are brilliant hosts, they were very accomodating, especially with our late arrival. You know they will be there if you need them, but the property is so well prepared its unlikely you would need them.

We were very lucky to be able to stay here, we just wish we could have stayed for longer. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

A dream villa with fantastic views

We love this part of Spain and have started to visit quite regularly so we were delighted to find this very special place to stay. Perched on top of a hill it has wonderful views to the sea, the village and the mountains - so where ever you sit at any time of the day there is a feast for your eyes. The pool area is very comfy with plenty of shade and there is a little area to the side where you can take a drink in the evening and wacth the sun go down. Darren, who owns the villa has done it up to an excellent standard with a modern Ikea kitchen and stylish touches throughout. He was a great host - so friendly and really helpful but also unobtrusive so we really felt that this was our own dream home for the 2 weeks that we were there. We will surely be back!

The reason I bought the house was due to the fantastic views, and although the house was nothing special at the time it is improving every year and becoming a dream home. Benajarafe is a little jewel, it has got everything you need without the crowds and has got plenty of nice restaurants, bars, amazing beaches and is also close to the main towns as Torre del Mar and Rincon de la Victoria, or Málaga whithin a 20 min. Drive

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 35 Kilometres Nearest Golf : at 10 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : at 2.5 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Benajarafe at 5 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Benajarafe has got a long, new Paseo Maritimo and the beach is not crowded even in high season (only Sundays, the Spaniards beach day), ideal for long walks in a natural and relaxing environment. Añoreta Golf, Baviera Golf and El Candado Golf, are between 5 and 15 minutes by car. Plenty of bars and restaurants with cheap prices and nearby services (supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, etc.) can be found at Benajarafe.

Travel:

Málaga airport 25 mins away. Bus stop 5 mins from the villa. I recommend the use of a car because the villa is at the top of a steep hill, but it is not essential.

Distances:

Torre del Mar 10 km, Malaga 20 km, Granada (Alhmabra) 1 hour drive. Historical city of Cordoba 1 hour and Sevilla 2 hours drive. Marbella and Puerto Banus is 1,5 hours drive.

Further Details:

This area offers lots of possibilities: nice beach bars where you can hire a sunbed for the hole day, entertainment over evenings with really good restaurants and beach bars in Torre del Mar o Rincon de la Victoria, and a huge offer of tapabars. Velez-Malaga, only 10 min drive has a big waterpark "Aquavelis" where mostly kids have lots of fun.

The house has got absolutely stunning views and at the same time it is really close to the beach. The whole property is in one level and is very open and inviting, and I've got the luck that there is only one house above, whose owner only comes to visit a couple of weeks in winter so my villa is very private.

We ask our guest if they don't mind to water the garden, that avoids to pass by and disturb you during the stay, but if guest don't want to do it we pass by to do the watering once a day.
