1 Bedroom Apartment in Albufeira Old Town, Central Algarve, Portugal - 5 Minute Walk To The Beach, Bars And Market Square

Bay View Apartments were previously part of an apart-hotel until it was sold in 2011. Since then its been completely refitted to a very high-spec with the reception, corridors and pool area having all been upgraded. The apartment itself was refurbished March 2015. The apartment is a large, open-plan, air-conditioned 1 bedroom. It is on the ground floor which gives it easy access from reception, however due to the layout of the building it has the added security that externally the windows are 1st floor. The lovely pool and deck area was completely remodelled in 2012 and is literally at the end of the corridor. You can walk to most places within Albufiera from its location. 5mins walk and a lift to the sands, 2mins to restaurants, 10mins large supermarket, 10mins marina, 20mins nightclubs (The Strip). Excursions to Zoomarine, Splash and Slide, etc. all leave locally.

My wife and I stayed here for one week. The apartment was ropy less and very well stocked with utensils, we had everything we needed. A cosy and clean stay, thank you.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro Airport at 42 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Merlins Bar at 15 Metres Nearest Golf : Oceanico Golf at 14 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : N125 at 4 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Praia do Peneco at 300 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beach is a short walk away (300metres) with a lift that takes you right down to the sands, or steps for those that want to take the slow route.

Travel:

Faro airport is approx 30mins away. Transfers costs are typically each way for 4 people by taxi (The owner has some contact numbers should you require them.). You don't really need a car here but should you want to explore a lot then a car park is next to the building and does not charge.

Distances:

Old Town Market Square is just a couple of minutes walk. A large supermarket is 10mins walk. Bars and restaurants are all 5 mins walk. Nightclubs 'The Strip' are 5 mins taxi ride or approx. 20 mins walk there, possibly 30mins back. The Marina is only 10mins walk with it's bars and restaurants.

There are also many excursions that leave from the Old Town including Zoo Marine (free bus), Water Parks, Fiesa sand sculptures. The large Algarve Shopping Centre is about 5 miles drive out of town.

Further Details:

Should a larger party / 2 family groups require to stop close together then we do have access to another similar spec unit directly opposite the corrider that is a one bedroom and can sleep upto 3 people. Please contact the owner for further availability and details.

Refundable Damage Deposit £100

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required on booking (minimum £50). An additional refundable security deposit of £100 is required and will be returned 14 days after departure. The balance is to be paid in full 6 weeks before your holiday.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible and sorted out direct with the owner. Check in typically after 14:00 and check out before 11:00 but agreement could be made dependant on other arrivals and departures.

Notes on prices:
The pricing listed is per week in British Pounds but other durations are available with the owner.
Contact owner for payments in other currencies.
Long winter stays and Xmas/New Year breaks available by negotiation. (from £475/mth if self serviced)

Reservations are held with 25% of the rental fee plus the £100 security deposit. The remainder of the payment is made 6 weeks prior to the arrival date.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is located for those both wanting peace and quiet plus those possibly wanting the night-life that Albufeira has to offer. It has easy access. You do not need a car but should you hire one there is a car park directly to the side of the apartments. Outside: Bay View apartments have a shared adults pool plus a shallow paddling pool for children. The are plenty of sun loungers around the pool for use. There is a shared roof terrace that has lovely views over the old town and to the sea and is a beautiful sun trap with sun loungers available. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedroom linen and bathroom towels are included. These are changed weekly. Please bring your own pool and beach towels.
