A great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous stay on our holidays last summer. What a beautiful location and fantastic cottages. If you want a really old style cottage ducking through the doors and sitting by a log fire at night, even in the summer, thus us the place. Fabulous river and lake to walk along and my wife was totally blown away to see otters and the flighty Kingfisher on an early morning yomp through the grounds. Great location that gives good access to all of Cornwall both north and south coasts.

Would highly recommend the site and cannot leave out the marvellous hosts who looked after us, greater us and provided a tasty welcome pack. As Arnie said , "I'll be back!"

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to give such positive feedback. We did enjoy meeting you and the family and hearing about all the animals and birds spotted at Rivermead, was thrilled your wife was able to watch a full 'performance' by the otter! Look forward to welcoming you back

Truly idyllic

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in Kingfisher with my partner for the week. We loved the decor of the lodge, it was so gorgeous and we'll thought out. The grounds of the place are pretty awesome too, with the river running through. Also the fitness trail - we did that one day too. Nice idea. Great location, definitely check out Trago Mills for a bit of shopping, it's right round the corner.

Holiday to remember

  • 5 of 5

The stapline on the website for Rivermead Farm says 'a holiday to remember' and I have no reason to disagree.

My family and I sstayed in Farm Cottage in May. It was comfortably furnished and we'll equipped. Wi fi access was free (which appealed to the younger members of the group) and the adults were impressed by the original artwork on display throughout the property.

The grounds surrounding the property ate well maintained with areas for petanque, golf and football - there is also a fitness trail. Of course the biggest draw for some of my party was the fishing along the private stretch of the river Fowey and the well stocked lake.

Rivermead Farm is well situated for easy access to several beaches and pretty villages; we found it offered something for all of us. On top of that Marjorie and Kevin were excellent hosts - knowledgeable about their local area and willing to help.

We look forward to returning!

Wonderful, relaxing and perfect

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted to have found such a perfect, peaceful and well equipped place. It was so central for both coasts but Rivermead itself was a real revelation. Self contained with river, lake, keep fit areas and a great opportunity for wildlife spotting.

Our hosts were helpful, friendly and had thought of every eventuality, including a well equipped library and fantastic welcome hamper.

We will DEFINITELY be back!

Owner's Response: Delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and our welcome hamper. Rivermead has such a good central location for visiting both beaches and Cornish attractions so hope to see you in the future when you can explore the area further.
