About the Owner

Norman & Patricia Bromell purchased Plymleigh Farm in 1976 as a family home. Cuckoos Nest was converted for holiday accommodation and has been let for a number of years. Since becoming interested in dog showing we have made Plymleigh Farm a dog friendly environment with safe kennels (if required), runs and fenced fields for our guests enjoyment.

We are both retired now and due to our jobs being on the road a lot we enjoy pottering here and keeping Plymleigh Farm gardens and fields tidy.

You will be very welcome to enjoy it too.

Cuckoos Nest has it's own fenced garden area.

Hi Tricia and Norman.

Just a quick note to say thank you for the lovely stay. We had a wonderful time and we appreciate you going out of your way to take care of us and the kids.

Super clean and tidy, had everything one could wish for

  • 5 of 5

Although we arrived late at night Patricia and Norman came to the gate to direct us to the accommodation and were extremely helpful during our stay.

The cottage was very comfortable and warm and had every conceivable utensil any one could need.

Very highly recommended

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Myself, my partner and our 2 young dogs stayed in the Cuckoos nest. Self contained one bedroom apartment. It had 2 private gardens soley for our use, it was even more dog friendly than we could of imagined. Dog blankets, treats, bowls, crate, towels and kennels are all there if needed. 2 enclosed fields, a beautiful lawn with a pond and out house and a private woodland all enclosed. Owners are friendly, helpful and very welcoming but do not pester you. We will definitely be going back there in the very near future.

Perfect

The Owls Barn Cottage was fully equipped, spotless and an absolute charm. There was everything needed to make you stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. There were clean dry kennels for the dogs if needed (we took 3) and a cage available in the property if required. The fields, orchard, wooded area with walkways and beautiful garden with a lake and summerhouse were an amazing bonus and would suit those with dogs, children or just simply as a lovely area to explore. Also available was a hot tub, dog showers and drying pens in a separate out building. The owners were very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and keen to ensure our stay was exactly what we wanted. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this little gem of a property and we ourselves will definitely be returning soon.

Location

From the Owner

The Beaworthy area is in the heart of Devon, it is a quiet rural area with far reaching views. It is well located for visiting Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the beautiful North Devon and North Cornwall coastlines. It is an ideal place to escape to countryside for peace and quiet and for recreation. It is ideally suited to people who like walking and who enjoy nature. A lovely day on one of our little coves or perhaps you prefar a larger sandy beach. There are lots to choose from. We have lots of forest walks on our door step.
