About the Owner

I live in Scotland with my husband Zafer, my son Arin & our much loved golden retriever Chance.

I am well travelled in Turkey and have been to many resorts however Kalkan is my favourite by far!

It was first recommended by my sister in law who has been on holiday there several times with her husband and children.

It is an uncommercialised, upmarket and relaxing destination for tourists of all age groups. The food in the local restaurants is the highest standard I have experienced in the south of Turkey.

Whether you are into history, sports, a foodie, or you just want to chill Kalkan is perfect!

I love the balance between the charm of the rustic cobbled streets and fantastic architecture in Kalkan and the amazing contemporary luxury accommodation that is on offer for guests.

Complete bliss!

This villa is beautiful! We have been coming to Kalkan for the last five years and this is definitely the best villa we have stayed in. The view is absolutely stunning, you couldn't get tired of looking at the turquoise coast and mountains. It is completely idyllic and also incredibly peaceful. A lot of the villas closer to the town can be quite cramped and overlooked, so if you don't mind hiring a car or taking taxis then we would definitely recommend staying a little further out. Kalkan is about an 8-minute car ride away but taxis are so cheap that it is not a problem getting into town and back. We much prefer getting the privacy and the views, rather than being more central. The terrace was fantastic. Who doesn't love an infinity pool? I would lie on a lilo in the water and just admire the view. Complete bliss! The villa is very clean and modern, with everything you could want. We would absolutely recommend this.

Simply Fantastic.

  • 5 of 5

"My Villa" (cleverly named) sits on a commanding hill side position. The views are stunning. What a joy it was to wake up to the views of the boats going out on the Med. The location is quiet and tranquil, yet only a few minutes away from Kalkan's shops and restaurants.

The villa is well laid out and furnished to a high standard with nothing left to chance. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was provided, including the fully fitted and kitted out kitchen. All rooms were very clean including the bedding sets and numerous towels. The superb infinity pool which provided days and nights of endless fun was cleaned along with the outside areas every 2 days.

Zafer, the owner sent a message to check that we had accessed the villa with no issues and that we were comfortably settled in. A nice touch. Gürbüz, Martina and the entire team at Termessos (the Agents) were fantastic and catered to all our requests and inquiries. Martina gave us excellent ideas about things to do, places to visit, the best restaurants and the best beaches.

Highlights of our stay included enjoying numerous meals poolside whilst soaking in the sun and views, visiting Kas (the drive on the coast road is fabulous), trips to Patara beach and ancient ruins and trips to Kaputas beach. We particularly enjoyed the endless soft sand & warm sea water at Patara beach. There are so many good restaurants to choose from.

We would recommend "My Villa" to everyone considering visiting Turkey / Kalkan. We have stayed in villas all over the world and "My Villa" definitely is near the top of the list.

Jaw dropping

  • 5 of 5

Every morning we woke up and looked at the view from this stunning villa it was jaw dropping.the owners have not missed one home comfort it was as the villas name suggested my villa for 2 whole weeks and it was magical.even tho kalkan as a place is a little slice of heaven we couldnt wait to get back to our home from home.one thing I was sure of is my luggage weighted the same but I didn't as the places to eat in kalkan are many and very nice.if your looking for a place where eggs and bacon is not advertised round every corner a place with a touch of class stay in kalkan but please don't miss out on staying in the most beautiful villa in the most beautiful mountain setting only 10 minutes from a lovely bay which is kalkan you won't regret it .

Just returned from a fabulous holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday. The villa was absolutely superb, clean and comfortable. It was incredibly quiet which is what we wanted. The town of Kalkan is 5 minutes in the car. Of the restaurants we tried, all were excellent. We have holidayed in diffeent parts of Turkey a few times and have to say this was the best so far.

From the Owner

We came across this property by accident. One of Zafer's relatives was showing us the local sites and his wife insisted on us viewing this property which they were interested in themselves however could not sell their own property on time to facilitate the sale. When we saw the fantastic location we were both instantly bowled over by the unspoiled views, privacy and tranquil atmosphere. We both looked at each other and came to the conclusion that this was a "no brainer" and we would have to raise sufficient funds to purchase this wonderful property. It has been extremely testing at times dealing with local tradesman who work at a very different pace from the tradesman in the UK. Our journey has not been short of teething problems however it has all been worth while in the end.

From the Owner

My Villa was aptly named as we would like you to treat your holiday rental like your own home. My Villa boasts a secluded hillside location with unparalleled views. The locals from the nearby hamlet of Ordu tend to their animals and families and it is the most amazing site. Ordu has no through road so the traffic is minimal. You have the pleasure of waking up in a sea of olive groves where red squirrels are commonplace. We are located on the historic Lycian Way which attracts walking and hiking enthusiasts from all walks of life. The rocks by the roadside are marked with red and white paint to illustrate every 100mtrs.
