This 1 bedroom apartment has been refurbished in a contemporary style with new furniture, bedding and bathroom. It is on the popular, peaceful Atalaya complex in central Puerto del Carmen. The location is wonderful - within 3 minutes walk brings you to the seafront promenade where there are restaurants and bars to suit every taste. The balcony has a table, chairs with cushions & a parasol. It looks over the pool & has sun for much of the day and is a lovely, comfortable place to relax. You can even glimpse the sea over the rooftops. The apartment has a large open plan living /dining / kitchen area and a separate bedroom. The bright and airy lounge has a new sofa bed, flat screen TV, DVD player, DVDs, iPod dock, books and family games. The apartment has free wifi and UK TV channels are available (via internet). The kitchen is well-equipped with microwave / grill, hob, kettle, toaster, mini oven and fridge with freezer compartment. The fully-tiled bathroom has a walk-in shower and contemporary fittings. There is a well-stocked supermarket and plenty of parking adjacent to the complex. Fans are provided in the lounge and bedroom.

About Gill Pegge

The apartment is managed personally by Gill Pegge, assisted by her husband and daughter. Gill worked as a manager in several 4 and 5* hotels in the UK before moving to the beautiful island of Lanzarote in 2012. Being on the island allows Gill to meet and greet guests, make sure they are familiar with the apartment’s facilities, as well as passing on advice and recommendations to enhance their holidays. Being on the island also allows Gill to very quickly sort out any problems which guests may have. Gill has a passion for Lanzarote and has never had a more enjoyable 'job' than making sure that guests have a relaxing and memorable holiday.

Lanzarote has year round sunshine and blue skies. Puerto del Carmen has the best choice of restaurants and bars we have ever come across, and the ambiance and variety of the resort’s facilities appeals to guests of all ages.

The Atalaya Complex is secure, quiet and friendly and isn’t used by tour companies, so you don’t have the noise and activity of some of the larger complexes. The apartments on this complex are a good size and are light and airy.

What makes this apartment unique

The complex is in a fantastically convenient location. Most guests comment on the peacefulness and tranquility of the apartment and are amazed that you can walk to the lively main promenade in just 3 minutes. Also, being only a 10 minute journey from the airport makes transfers very easy. Having a well stocked supermarket next to the complex is also very handy.

Exactly as described

The property is in a great location close to the sea, restaurants and bars. There is also an excellent good-value supermarket 50 yards away which we used most days. The deli is very good.

The apartment itself was an ideal size for the 2 of us but it could have accommodated another 2 people in the living area on the fold down setee.

It was very clean and well maintained and represented excellent value. There is also a pleasant south-facing balcony to enjoy along with fast broadband and wi-fi TV.

The communication with Gillian was excellent both before, during and after our stay.

I would certainly use this apartment again and can highly recommend it.

Couple Holiday

Very clean apartment and pool area. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool.

The apartment has everything you need plus you can watch English TV through the internet which we found helpful on a night time. The location of the apartment is next to a Spar and only a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and many restaurant's. Intend to have another holiday there next year.

Gill was the perfect host meeting us at the apartment on arrival and was quick to return our deposit.

everything you need for a great holiday

A great centrally located apartment. The apartment has everything you need for perfect base to enjoy Puerto del Carmen. Its situated right next door to a supermarket for all your grocery needs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anybody, looking for a great base to experience Lanzarote.

Great apartment. Home from Home

This has to be one of the best apartments we have stayed in when visiting Lanzarote . We tend to go to Lanzarote twice a year and each time we rent an apartment via Owners direct or Alpha rooms and have never had a bad one . This apartment had everything right from the start .Great location, great pool, great Wifi connection , and very clean . Gill was very helpful ,we know if we had a problem she would be on hand to help .Yes, we would rent again , in fact , we are looking at November and hoping this apartment is available, I think we have been spoilt now . The Atalaya Complex is secure, quiet and friendly and isn’t used by tour companies, so you don’t have the noise and activity of some of the larger complexes. The apartments on this complex are a good size and are light and airy.

Coast/Beach:

Puerto del Carmen has 6kms of stunning beaches. A 3 minute walk from the complex brings you to the promenade where you can turn left or right and take your pick of quiet rocky coves or the expansive, golden Playa Grande with sunbeds, pedalos, water sports and diving facilities.

Travel:

Lanzarote's Arrecife Airport is about 10 minutes' drive from the apartment. A taxi costs about 15 Euros. If you're hiring a car, it's an easy 10 minute drive to the apartment and there is ample parking directly outside the complex. Car hire isn't necessary, as all of Puerto del Carmen's amenities are on the doorstep. There is also a bus stop and taxi rank within 3 minutes walk.

Distances:

The apartment is centrally located in Puerto del Carmen. Lanzarote is a small island and you can drive from one end to the other in just over an hour. We have an extensive selection of leaflets, maps and guides in the apartment, giving you lots of ideas for outings and activities.

Further Details:

Within 10 minutes stroll along the promenade you can eat in Spanish, Canarian, English, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Tex-Mex and many other restaurants. There is a wide variety of shops, bars and supermarkets along the promenade. There is a spa and a casino close by. Lots of ATM's along the promenade. Doctor's surgery close by. Puerto del Carmen 'Old Town' is a 20 minute stroll along the promenade. There you will find great fish restaurants with stunning views over the harbour. The modern Biosfera Shopping Centre is a 20 minute walk away for some retail therapy.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is equipped for comfort and is bright and airy. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment, only outside on the balcony. Outside: The apartment's large sunny balcony is a really relaxing place to sit. It has a table, chairs with cushions and a parasol. It gets sun for much of the day, and has a gorgeous view over the pool. Over the rooftops and through the rustling palm trees you can glimpse the sea. There is a clothes dryer. The complex has a large communal pool surrounded by loungers. The pool is cleaned every morning. It is generally quiet and we have never known there to be a shortage of loungers. There is a separate kids' pool. There is no lifeguard. There are well-kept gardens with bougainvillea, hibiscus, oleander and cacti around the complex. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedding, bathroom towels and linen are included in the rental price. For bookings of 10 days or more linen will be changed and a mini-clean will be done mid-stay. Cleaning before and after the stay is included in the rental price. Beach towels available.
