This spacious garden flat with its own quiet courtyard is conveniently located within walking distance of the town centre and the race course. Cheltenham has jazz, music, science and literature festivals and is an ideal centre for exploring the Cotswolds. The flat is close to Pittville Park and lakes with extensive leisure facilities.

The flat is the original servants quarters of a grade 2 listed Regency villa and retains original features such as shutters to most rooms. There are two bedrooms - one with a king size bed and the other with the option of a super king or two singles. The bedrooms are carpeted with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge. The lounge is spacious with a feature fireplace, sofas, easy chairs and dining area. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a bathroom with over bath shower, and a utility room with washing machine. We provide all linen and other basics.

Outside the flat has its own street entrance to the front and a courtyard garden to the rear with table and chairs. Free on-street parking is available in front of the property and at the rear.

Why John Mumford chose Cheltenham

The apartment is part of a large Regency house close to the town centre but in a quiet and peaceful conservation area. We bought the house as our home but the house is very large so we let the lower ground floor, which was the old servants quarters, for holidays.

What makes this apartment unique

The location is within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and all the festival and event locations in Cheltenham, yet it is also in the Cotswolds with the countryside and walks to enjoy. Cheltenham is of course famous for the horse racing festivals and also has annual festivals of Jazz, Literature, Music, and Science. There are also many places of interest to visit in the Cotswolds and there are events in the surrounding towns. So there is something on most months of the year.

Location

Travel:

The apartment is on the North side of Cheltenham in the Pittville area. Cheltenham is 100 miles from London with a direct train service and also has a good train service from Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. Cheltenham has train connections from Birmingham International airport and coach connections from Heathrow and Gatwick.

Distances:

Cheltenham town centres with the venues for the Arts, Music, and Literature Festivals is 10 mins walk away. Cheltenham Racecourse is 15 mins walk away. Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre, Cotswold Water Park, Cotswold Farm Park and the leisure activities in the Cotswold hills are within a few miles drive.

Further Details:

There is a small convenience store across the road which is open every day of the year (usually 6am to 11pm) and both M&S and Morrisons convenience stores are within 2 or 3 minutes walk. Cheltenham town center has a wide range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, banks etc within 10 minutes walk.

Fantastic flat for Festival.

We had a wonderful time. Flat was warm, clean and parking was easy outside. John was really helpful and offered extra, clean towels halfway through the week. The kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable, huge beds. Short walking distance from the middle of town. Thank you very much!

A home away from home

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, well equipped, premium quality, and all with a huge dose of personality. From the books, to the artefacts and the paintings. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely love to return someday soon.

Good location and great owner.

Very nice property. Was as represented online. It was a bit chilly. Owner made change so more heat was available, but the heating system reverted to previous setting the next day. We just learned to live with it. Such a nice place!

great location

Stayed here with my wife and two teenage children, for a week and all was good. The flat has everything you need and is very clean. Great location as town centre is only a 10 mins walk away and feels very safe at any time. Lovely park just around the corner with pitch and put golf, rowing boat hire on the lake, ice cream and coffee shop. All in all this is a great place to stay. Only down side was the weather, but thats britain for you.

Great location

Nice,comfortable flat. Good size & very well located, perfect base for cycling around Cheltenham and driving further afield - Forest of Dean & Bristol. Only downside, slightly chilly - we needed the heating in the evenings - in July. Would consider using again if we holiday in this area.
