About Sandra & Keith Daniel
We have enjoyed many family holidays in the West Country and Cornwall has everything you could hope for from history, castles, beaches, scenery, wildlife, fauna and pasties!

Why Sandra & Keith Daniel chose Cornwall
After many enjoyable family holidays in Cornwall we decided to find our own little bolt hole in our favourite County in the UK.
Kate's Den has vast amounts of history steeped into its Cornish stone walls including what many have said to be its own ghost. Some guests have experienced unusual activity during their stay and whilst renovation of the cottage was carried out a vision of a lady dressed in a long gown was witnessed on more than one occasion! But don't worry she's friendly!
What makes this cottage unique
With easy access to all of Cornwall’s attractions and wonderful coastline Kates Den offers a great base to explore and enjoy what this County can offer from Tintagel and Clovelly in the North to The Lizard and Lands End in the South
Enjoy King Arthurs castle and a pastie in the morning and St. Michaels Mount with a cream tea in the afternoon.
Explore the magical Kernow and all it can offer

Very tranquil and beautiful place.
Very tranquil and beautiful stay in this cornish cottage. Ideal location for travelling to Helston. Many thanks.
Kates Den - lovely cottage in great location
This was our first visit to Cornwall and found Kates Den to be in a great position for exploring the area.
Situated near to Helston there are plenty of options for stocking up on essentials and
The cottage is quite large and has everything you could need for a self catering holiday, very well equipped kitchen including dishwasher and the whole cottage was comfortable and clean.
All of the information provided to find the cottage and the instructions for everything within the cottage were perfect and all of the local information leaflets were really useful.
Thank you for allowing us to bring our dogs on holiday we would definitely consider staying here again
Beautiful, well equipped cottage.
The arrival instructions were perfect - and I found the cottage easily. And what a lovely find! Large and spacious rooms, each filled with character. Very well equipped - especially the kitchen, which actually made cooking a pleasure. Comfy, clean beds and plenty of towels. The conservatory was an added bonus - a lovely place to sit with a cup of tea in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this cottage - we certainly book again and recommend to others without hesitation.
loved cottage very quirky but great for the 6 of us no wifi but no-one complained even kids were ok with out it only downside was the garden couldn't get up drive with car because of brambles also rubbish did empty bin outside but was smelly and had maggots in not everything was bagged up also no extra bags for our rubbish loved the area just right for sightseeing found 2 good pubs would visit again
We as a family thought the accomodation was what we would expect with the bedrooms being spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room, the week we spent at the cottage was chilly but once the heating had been on the place was snug and warm. The drive leading to the property needs some work as it was a bit rough. Plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen with plenty of utensils. overall a nice property to stay in and we would consider staying again.
