Prime location. This delightful apartment is ideally situated in the best area of Mojacar. It is 150 meters to the glorious promenade and 2 minutes walk from the beginning of the blue flag sandy beach of Las Ventanicas with its loungers, umbrellas, exclusive bars and good selection of fine restaurants. The well cared for property consists of 2 en-suite bedrooms with air conditioning, fans and built in wardrobes. The spacious lounge/diner has 2 fans, TV and free internet. Why Helen Barrett chose Mojácar

We travelled extensively along the Southern and Eastern coasts of Spain looking for our ideal location. As we drove beside the long sandy beach of Mojacar we knew this was somewhere we wanted to return to. Having looked at lots of properties during two more visits, we saw Cueva del Lobo on the internet at home. We looked on Google Earth and wondered if it would be as good in reality. It exceeded our expectations. We put in an offer on the next morning. We have enjoyed refurnishing our home. For us the reality has matched the dream. We have found our place to make memories and hope you will make some too. As they say in Spain, "our home is your home" - "nuestra casa es su casa".

What makes this apartment unique

We enjoy the apartment with its good sized rooms and 2 bathrooms. We have found being right next to the pool a big bonus. We like the complex which is small, friendly and well cared for. The climate is, of course, unbelievable for us Scots. The location is perfect - beautiful, clean, sandy beach, a wide variety of very good quality restaurants and, of course, the lovely promenade, ideal for strolling by day or in the cool of the evening. What more could you ask.

Notes on accommodation: This is a no smoking property. No pets allowed. The rental agent is situated in Price Brown estate agents just round the corner. Outside: The South facing patio is reached from the front door off the lounge area. It has a circular table and 5 chairs. It is right next to the pool, handy if you forget something. The pool is not over looked and is shared by the eight apartments. The pool is 10 metres long with broad, child friendly steps. It has a shower. The paved garden around the pool is perfect for sunbathing and also has shady areas for the heat of the day. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property will be cleaned to a high standard before and after your stay. The linen/towels will be fresh on arrival only. There will be 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per person. Guests should bring extra including beach/pool towels if needed.

Fantastic home from home apartment

We had a fantastic stay at this modern, clean, home from home apartment. It was so pristine with so much attention to detail. Been next io the pool was fantastic, only the odd person came up to the pool so it seemed like it was our own pool which was great. All the people staying in the partments were nice and it was so peaceful. We would defintely recommend this place and definitely return. It was so spacious and even the bed was comfy !

Lovely property

Husband and I stayed for a week after Christmas. From the word go it was a simple process with great communication from Helen, directions and contact for Mojacar. Apartment was a real pleasure to stay in, beautifully decorated, comfortable a little home from home. Comfy bed, little extras around ...I appreciated the sewing kit ...can’t fault. Location is terrific, good parking and a minute from the beach, restaurants etc but quiet. All in all I would thoroughly recommend and hope to stay again. Thank you Helen and Richard.

A compact well equipped apartment, a short walk from the sea front and good restaurants.

The apartment is in a small complex just back from the seafront, so lacks sea views but when we were there (in the winter) was quiet and very peaceful. There is no dedicated parking and an uneven forecourt and a flight of steps, past the pool, to the property is not ideal if anyone has mobility difficulties.

The apartment itself is compact and friendly. Both bedrooms are ensuite although again compact best describes them. There is a small patio area but the apartment is right next to the pool which was fantastic during the winter as no one used it but could be an issue in the summer when it could be noisy and there would be no privacy. However when we were there it was warm, peaceful and quiet with only one other apartment occupied until 2 days before we left when the apartment above us was in use. The soundproofing is poor and noise travelled intrusively into our apartment and would have been an issue if they had beeen there for the whole of our stay.

The apartment has almost everything you need (oven gloves would be a real bonus!) and the hob, if you decide to eat in, is challenging to operate. We were without water for a period of 12 hours at one stage apparently due to work being undertaken in the area so we were not alone but it would have been good to know. I tried to contact the agent but it was at the weekend and didn't get a response until the issue was resolved.

Having said all that, the apartment is located a few hundred yards from the sea although it is not visible from the complex and there are excellent restaurants on the doorstep. This is a very British part of Spain so not really for those seeking something more authentic although some of the local towns and villages are worth a visit.

Owner's Response: We hope you find this detailed feedback helpful. There are 3 dedicated parking spaces at our end of the road and also further spaces along the street for busy times. During the months of September to June this is a peaceful block of apartments. July and August are busy months in Mojacar, so guests should expect more people about the complex and pool. We will definitely replace the oven gloves. We have an agent 100 yards from our apartment. She will be there to help during office hours. Mojacar is a beautiful seaside resort (often voted in the top 2 most picturesque in Spain) with an idyllic climate providing glorious sunshine and warmth all year. Hence it is beloved by the discerning Brits and Spaniards alike. The Spanish flock here during July and August. During the winter months many happy Brits come to escape our winter. If you wish to stay in this stunning area but want a more Spanish experience we recommend you eat when and where they do. This means eating later and particularly on a Sunday afternoon starting at 2pm. We would be happy to supply a list of more 'Spanish' restaurants in the area. Also, go to the many markets which the Spanish love. Happy Holidays.

Lovely apartment in quiet location

My husband, sister and myself enjoyed a weeks stay in this apartment early October. The apartment is in a very peaceful location and yet only a minute from the beautiful promenade and a good selection of restaurants. The apartment was perfect for us having the 2 bathrooms and we always had the pool to ourselves. We did have a couple of minor problems but these were quickly sorted out by the helpful staff at Price Brown who manage the apartment. We ate out every night and would highly recommend Sensations restaurant about 7 minutes walk away.

Lovely apartment

Enjoyed our holiday at the apartment. It had everything we could want for our stay and more. It is very well equipped.

We especially liked the position of the apartment, right next to the pool, just walk out the door and you are poolside. Helen provided sun loungers should you need them that were kept on the terrace so no need to rush out early to try and get one as sometimes happens in big complexes. We mainly used the pool to cool off when came back after being out for the day and usually had it to ourselves. It's only for the use of a few apartments.

The apartment is ideally situated not far from the beach and the many restaurants and bars. Also the local bus service is just down the road for Mojacar Pueblo though watch if you go on a Sunday which we did. There is a bigger gap in the service in the afternoon, I think just on Sundays but check timetable. We ended up walking down, which seemed like a good idea at the time but was really a mistake in the heat!

We also found Marisa and her colleague at Price Brown very helpful with any questions we had and Helen during the booking process. We would hope to return in the future.

(There are quite a few steps up to the apartment for taking suitcases up but we are in our 60's and managed!)

Lovely homely apt

We had a great stay in this apt recently. It is well laid out and the air conditioning throughout was a huge bonus as the weather was very hot during our stay.

Their is plenty of room for a family of 4.

It is ideally located close to restaurants and the beach.

The pool is right outside and for a lot our stay our 2 kids were the only ones in the pool.

Would hope to make a return visit at some stage.

Only small downside was it was hard to get information from Price Brown. I appreciate it is a busy time but would prefer a quicker response from them.

The owners however, were very quick to respond to any questions we had both before our visit and during our visit.

This coast is the driest and warmest in Spain and mainland Europe enjoying warm sunny weather through most of the year.

The start of the beach is 150 metres away. It is sandy and has good amenities. One of the delights of this part of the beach is the promenade alongside, which is separated form the road and used by visitors and residents alike for a stroll particularly in the late afternoon. There is a small play area for the children at the start of the promenade.


The nearest airport is Almeria which is approximately 90 kms. Allicante airport is 225km, 2 hours 10 mins. Murcia, St. Javier, airport is 160 km, 1 hour 40 mins. There is a toll motorway from Murcia which is not used by the locals so it can feel like your own private motorway.

Car hire is the most convenient, however there is regular bus service from Almaria airport that meets all UK planes. A quote for a taxi pick up can be arranged.


The resort of Mojacar Playa stretches along the seafront. It has a good selection of supermarkets, banks, chemists, curio and hardware shops.

Mojacar Pueblo the hilltop town of white washed houses with its restaurants, cafes and craft shops - 2 km.

The Spanish town of Vera is about 15 km away. It has a typically Spanish town square a large market on a Saturday and excellent tapas.

Garrucha is a fishing village with celebrated fish restaurants -5kms

Further Details:

There is plenty to occupy all the family when you stay at Cueva del Lobo. There is a small play park a couple of minutes walk away for the little ones. There is mini golf in season. Near Vera there is a water park. For older children there is a go kart track about 7 km away. In high season there are water sports to be enjoyed.

For the older family members there are top night clubs about 2 km along the coast in Mojacar Playa.

There are a selection of golf courses for the sport enthusiasts and a market in a different village each day of the week for the addicted to shopping. Our favourite is Villaricos, but let us know yours.

A highlight for all the family could be Friday night at the well known Steak House, when they have an authentic flamenco night. Make sure you book as it is always busy. This family friendly holiday will be a place to make memories.
