otherwise we leave you alone to enjoy your stay to make it as comfortable and stress free as possible

Why Phil and Jacquie Perry chose St Ives area

We are a quiet location with parking on site but with easy access to all amenities but so near to shops buses etc

We bought this property as a farm in 1992 where we did some beef farming. Now it is used as a small DIY llivery yard with free range chickens and guinea fowl. We brought up our family here and now would,nt live anywhere else and hope our guests will enjoy there stay here too

What makes this cottage unique

We enjoy the quiet relaxed environment surrounded by fields and woodlands to roam in but also so near to shops beaches and transport

Guestbook comments from the owner

“Had a fantastic week. The cottage is cosy, clean and well stocked – useful when you first get here and are desperate for for milk! Visited Carbis Bay beach, only a 5 minute walk down the road and took the regular bus into St Ives and went surfing on Porthmeor Surf Beach. Surfboard & wetsuit hire on the beach is very cheap and there are twice daily lessons. St Ives is a lovely town to wander around – lots of pretty shops. Watch out for seagulls though!! Thank you very much to Jacquie & Phil for a lovely stay and fresh eggs from the chickens.” Becky, Hannah, Alex & Joe.

The Brier

“Thank you again for another wonderful week at the Brier (our 3rd). We had a brilliant time – with only one rainy day! And can’t wait to come back again next year (and probably again this summer to go camping!). See you soon x” Liz, Emlyn & Gracie

“Thanks Jacquie & Phil – had a lovely holiday in the perfect location, the cottage is fantastic. Bright and roomy and the sun shinning makes it even better. Looking forward to staying here next year!” Ellen & Syd.

A perfect holiday in a lovely property

  • 5 of 5

We chose this property after reading other comments and we weren’t disappointed. It’s a lovely place to stay, very comfy and cosy and with everything you could need. We loved St Ives and the surrounding area. Would recommend a visit to The Minack Theatre and St Michaels Mount. We will definitely be coming back

Very Comfortable Home from Home

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely house in a great location. The facilities are excellent, including a dishwasher, washing machine, two showers and it doesn't matter if you forget to bring a towel because they are provided too. Plenty of room for alfresco dining and parking. Very nice touches were chilled wine, milk and chocolate biscuits on arrival and very tasty free-range eggs were available too. Location is excellent, very picturesque and a very easy short walk to a small supermarket and very nice restaurant. A little further brings you to a beautiful beach and hotel with a bar overlooking the sea. St Ives is a very pleasant 45 minute walk along the coast path away and there are plenty of buses and taxis if you can;t manage or don't fancy the uphill return. Very helpful and friendly owners Phil and Jacquie have got this all spot on, we will definitely be back.

Lovely home from home

  • 5 of 5

The Brier was very clean and well equipped, including a most welcome bottle of wine.

I would definitely book again as the location and quality of the cottage were brilliant with some lovely local recommendations given by the owners.

A real home away from home...

  • 5 of 5

The Briar was so comfortable and homely. The kitchen has everything needed, including washing machine & dishwasher! It was the ideal accommodation for us and our two dogs, with wooden floors and an enclosed garden. The beautiful expanse of Porthkidney Sands are just minutes away in the car. St Ives is also minutes away by car or an hours walk along the coast path. We drove to the Park & Ride at Lelant Saltings and took the train along the coast into town, beautiful journey. We enjoyed this holiday so much that we're booking another week later in the year!
