Cottage in Lanner, Nr. Truro/ Camborne, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location Ideal For Walking And Cycling Holidays

One of this property’s greatest assets is the fact that the historic Tresavean Tramway runs alongside he property. This tramway forms part of the Cornwall Mineral tramways project. This is a haven for cyclists, horse riders and walkers. The rich mining areas of Cornwall’s central mining district now benefit from a 60km network of multi-activity trails. New trails have recently been created to link with existing routes such as the Coast to Coast trail, being mainly traffic free. The network offers people a unique opportunity to access a wide area that is rich in mining heritage and dramatic landscapes. Of course, we cannot forget our glorious beaches! Being centrally located the property is well placed for visiting beaches on both the North and South Coasts.

Fern cottage is situated in a quiet country location surrounded by trees and in an acre of garden. It needed completely renovating and we have enjoyed working for ten years or so in improving it.

Beautiful Cottage in quiet location

We had a wonderful time staying at Fern Cottage. The apartment is attached to the family's main home, but they're warm, lovely people who made us feel very welcome. The apartment is comfortable and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could want. It's obviously well cared for and we felt very much at home. The location is remote and quiet, which is exactly what we wanted, but you will definitely need a car to get around. The family keeps chickens and has a couple of pet cats and a dog who all roam around the gardens freely - we loved this but it may not be for everyone. I would highly recommend staying here and we would love to come again!

Lovely little cottage

We were met by the owners with a cream tea, which was most welcome after a long journey. The cottage was clean and inviting and has everything you could need except a hairdryer.

There are quite a few steps, some of them quite big, so you may want to bear this in mind.

We had a lovely holiday with the cottage being conveniently situated for most places in the south of Cornwall. Will definitely think of this cottage and the friendly and helpful owners next time we visit Cornwall.

Fern Cottage at Lanner

Owners very friendly and helpful. Parking appeared to be difficult on arrival but we didn't have any problems after that. A delicious cream tea awaiting us with the biggest scones. We also received biscuits, eggs etc. Randall went fishing and brought back mackerel which my husband enjoyed. Nice shower and window space for cosmetics. Good Wi-Fi. Near to many delightful places.

A wonderful Holiday

After a long drive from London a very warm welcome with Tea and warm Scones in the sun just outside the beautiful Cottage. Very nicely furnished, extremly quiet and very clean. Ideal for walking right out the garden gate to the Cornwall greens around you or central for driving to either North, South, East or West of Cornwall. Due to the quietness and cozyness, we had no urge to leave in the evening to go out. The bed /bedroom assures a restfull sleep. We had a lovely week and enjoyed being guests of Randall and Annette. Absolute recommendable and if we are off to Cornwall again, this is the first address I'll contact! Thanks again to Annette and Randall.

Lovely hideaway!

Pleasantly surprised with the location of this property - located off a country lane - so felt quite secluded.

The quality of the property was first class - quite recently renovated so nice and clean.

First class welcome from the owners - Randall and Annie - cream tea much appreciated after a long drive!

The property is all on one level making access easy. Would love to return!

Central location made it easy to drive to all the locations / visitor spots that we wanted to visit.

Thank you again, to our hosts for letting us stay in your lovely property.
