Villa at Beauvallon, Grimaud, Nr. St Tropez, Cote DAzur, France - Fully Enclosed Grounds On A Private Domain With A Mediterranean Gardens In A Unique Hillside Setting

The villa is set in fully enclosed private grounds with electric gates and features a Mediterranean Garden with Lavender, Olive trees and even a small vineyard. There are several outside shaded terraces and an outside dining area, ensuring somewhere to get away to and relax. The villa is south facing and has a wonderful bright and open feeling. All the rooms are air conditioned with heating if required. The kitchen and dining area are open plan and overlook the huge salon and the swimming pool terrace. Leading from from the salon through the sliding panoramic windows onto the large covered terrace, you can go straight to the large heated swimming pool and sun terrace overlooking St Tropez and panoramic views around to Port Grimaud. Leading from this terrace there is another area with separate sun beds and a sun deck. Being only a couple of kilometres from St Tropez the villa is ideally situated for visiting the beaches of Pampelonne or one of the many inland villages.

Notes on accommodation: The master bedroom is designed in a contemporary boutique style with a large balcony offering panoramic views of St Tropez There is large Italian marble walk in shower with a contemporary oval bath and WC .The walls are beautifully finished in Tadelakt. Bedroom 2 on the first floor is designed also in boutique style and also has it's own balcony looking over the swimming pool. There is a walk in shower and a large bath with the walls covered in slate. Bedroom 3 , which is on the same level as the salon, also has a large walk in Italian shower designed in a contemporary manner with a sun terrace leading to the swimming pool. Bedroom 4 is designed in Provençal Chic style with a shower and WC and outside terrace also overlooking the Gulf of St Tropez. The terrace is completely separate from the main terraces and has it's own sun beds and sofas. Outside: The property is situated in fully enclosed private grounds with a beautiful Mediterranean garden surrounding it. There are several terraces and sun bathing areas ensuring that an area of solitude can be found if needed. The 5 x 10 metre private heated swimming pool ( May to Sept) is the focal feature of the villa and is finished in translucent grey mosaic tiles. Swimming whilst looking over the Gulf of St. Tropez is a wonderful experience. There is a large gas barbecue on the 'Le Deck' area. Ample sun beds and luxurious sofas and outdoor seating are situated throughout the grounds. The outside dining area known as 'Le Loft' has separate crockery and glassware from the main house. Enjoying an 'apero' on the terrace at sunset and watching the sun go down over St Tropez is unforgettable Utility Room: Washing machine Steam iron and board. There is also a tumble dryer if needed. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is cleaned mid week and weekends. All linen,bedding and towels etc. are included and changed weekly. Daily cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge. There will be an extra charge of 200€ per week for air con or heating if needed Other: The open plan kitchen and dining area overlooking the salon has been designed to give a wonderful feeling of space and lightness. Each bedroom is individually designed to take advantage of the beautiful views of the Gulf of St Tropez.

Captivating view, fantastic owners

We stayed in Vila Zen in July 2014 for almost two weeks.

From the moment we entered through the gates and first saw the captivating view of the gulf we knew that it would be a great time. We love to travel and have been to some beautiful places, but this is truly a fantastic place created by the owners.

The house was immaculate and beautiful with an open floor plan and contemporary décor with large panoramic windows letting in the view, and outdoor pool, living and dining areas flowing seamlessly.

Great house keeping, owners arranged for personal trainer to come to the multiple times throughout our stay and they had the best retaurant and beach recommendations. Extremey friendly and trustworhy.

Sitting on the terrace after dinner and watching the distant lights of St Tropez and the many yachts glittering on the gulf in the dark is amazing, and even though Ste Maxime and St Tropez is only 15-20 minutes away we ended up cooking and eating at home almost every night (the kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and there is a barbecue on the terrace).

We can also arrange boat hire for either a day visit to Pampelonne, the Porquerelles Islands or maybe Cannes, and stay overnight on the boat near the Islands in the Bay of Cannes.

Walking in the wild Maures Mountains nearby along the Pompiers routes gives you an air of total isolation.

These roads are cut out of the hillside to enable the firemen to gain access should there be any forest fires. Only a kilometre or 2 from the coast, it is amazing how isolated you feel being so near the coast.

The famous La Voile sailing week at the end of September is amazing , and we offer a special package for that week including following the racing on a power boat if required and just soaking up the atmosphere of St. Tropez.


The beach at Beauvallon is only 2 minutes away by car or 5 minutes walking.

Fuchsia beach is close by and not usually too busy .

Pampelonne Beach with it's amazing beach bars and the famous Club 55 is only 15 minutes away by car.

St Maxime has several lovely beaches the best of which is La Nartelle on the road to Les Issambres.

The coast from Toulon to the Italian border has some of the most beautiful beaches in France where you can still find isolation,even in the height of summer.


Nice Airport is the main airport in the region and is about 50 minutes away along the A8 Autoroute. Toulon Airport is the closest being only 40 minutes away. Marseille Airport is about 1 hour away.

The villa is exactly 740 miles from Calais Ferry Terminal.

A car is recommended to take advantage of the area. Several car hire companies have offices in the area.

The Eurostar train from London St. Pancras Station will get you to Aix en Provence or Marseille in about 7 hours.


St Tropez town centre is about 3 miles away. this is a 'must visit' town with the harbour boasting some of the most luxurious boats in the world. Shopping and people watching are essentials here

Ste. Maxime about 2 miles with it's numerous restaurants and beaches .

The hilltop village of Grimaud with it's ancient Château is about 3 miles away and is well worth visiting.

Plan de la Tour is a typical Provençal Village if you want to escape the coast , yet is only 15 minutes away.

Further Details:

St Tropez is the main attraction in the area with countless luxurious shops and restaurants in the town and of course the famous Pampelonne Beach nearby.

The markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays are an experience not to miss. Getting there by 9 am. is recommended because of the parking ,or else take the passenger ferry from St Maxime which leaves about every 20 minutes and is much more convenient.

There are numerous shops and supermarkets nearby with ATM machines and we can also provide a pre-arrival stock up of supplies if needed.

The hilltop villages of Gassin and Grimaud are nearby both have superb restaurants and cafés to take coffee or an apero.

Plan de la Tour is a lovely inland Provençal village with cafes and restaurants.

Cannes is about 40 minutes away and should not be missed .

The University City of Aix en Provence can be reached in about an hours driving.

Also it is possible to take the train from Les Arcs ,near the A8 autoroute to most towns and cities in the Provence/Cote d'Azur region, or over to Ventimiglia just over the border in Italy where there is a huge open air market selling everything ,usually cheaper then in France.Many french people shop there regularly

It is possible to rent a boat or jet ski's at various sites nearby.

Scuba Diving in the Gulf or for on the nearby Porquerolles Islands can be arranged easily. The waters around the islands are classed as an underwater Marine Park and fishing is banned in the area, consequently the waters are alive

with large and unusual fish.

Every town and village has a Market day and are worthwhile visiting. The best are at St Tropez on Tuesdays and Saturdays. La Croix Valmer on Sundays and St Maxime on Thursdays.

If fine dining is your forte, there are Michelin starred Restaurants in Ste. Maxime, St Tropez and many close by in the country areas.

The Gorge de Verdon is a huge gorge nearly as deep as the Grand Canyon and is only about 45 minutes inland. You can rent canoes and kayaks there.
