Beach Walk Cottage in Whitstable, Kent, England - Central Location And Just 200 Meters To The Beach!

Gorgeous well equipped and relaxing house 30 seconds from the beach. Even better, there's a pub/hotel between us and the sea! They even brew their own beer. The oysters from Whitstable are renowned internationally and the sea food wonderful!

Beach Walk Cottage couldn't be in a better place. Walk straight out of the front door across the driveway and literally 30 seconds later you can be reclining in the sun on the beach. The house is in a tiny crescent of quirky little houses with the Hotel Continental on the corner. A few steps more and there's the infamous Beach Cafe and a couple of other restaurants further around. The beach is remarkably clean and safe for little ones and the shallow water means the sea is very warm for swimming on the incoming tide.

Walking east around the hill behind the house you come to Tankerton slopes, famous for its multitude of colourful beach huts marching up the hill. At the top of the hill sits Whitstable Castle, many summery events and weddings, fairs and all sorts of things go on up there! When the tide is out the most fabulous narrow strip of land is revealed called the 'Street', you can walk way, way out. On most days you can marvel at the skill and antics of the kite surfers nearby. Walking west for five minutes you get to the very picturesque working harbour of Whitstable and just beyond that the wonderful shops and restaurants that Whitstable is famous for. This well loved house is just amazing and has been thoughtfully designed to be a comfortable home from home. It stands alone and quite separate from the friendly neighbours. There are three bedrooms in the house, two with double beds, and the third room with bunk beds, There is a charming bathroom on the first floor and a shower utility room on the ground floor each with WC. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a stress free stay, it's the most beautiful place to be when the sunlight streams in through the skylights and the opened bi-fold doors lead directly into the garden. The decked out garden and lawn is also a fabulous place to eat and barbecue! In winter the log burning stove not only heats the kitchen, but the whole house as well. The comfortable ground floor sitting room has a large flat screen TV with a DVD player attached. The alcoves are lined with a collection of books and DVD's of all descriptions. Outside the front door is a small veranda for sitting and watching the sea and the sun go down (with a lovely cold refreshing drink!) There's parking for two cars on the driveway, and the house has a pretty little garden at the rear. Last, but way from least, are the magnificent views of the sunset from the beach across to the Isle of Sheppey.

Making a Booking:
To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.

Changeover Day:
Please contact owner.
Flexible - The property is usually available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure - sometimes these restrictions can be relaxed on request.

Notes on prices:
Booking Fee and Paying By Credit Card:
There is £15.00 booking fee that will be added to the total rental tariff. For guests wishing to pay by Credit Card there will be a 2% surcharge added to the booking.

Short Breaks:
2 night break - 50% off weekly tariff/3 night break - 40% off weekly tariff/4 night break - 30% off weekly tariff/5 night break - 20% off weekly tariff/6 night break - 10% off weekly tariff.

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
