From the owners Sue & Svend (who were there to welcome us ) the accommodation the cleanliness and all the lovely goodies that were left for us we wanted for nothing . It is so well equipped and comfortable & peaceful . The owners have 3 dogs which we found a delight they were not a problem. We would not hesitate to recommend this property .

Welcoming and comfortable, friendly and accessible

  • 5 of 5

Sue and Sven are the perfect hosts - they made sure we had everything we needed without being remotely intrusive. The cottage is very well equipped, with comfortable chairs and bed.

I'm disabled and found access to be excellent - we could park close to the cottage, a nd then it's a very short walk over a good even surface. Access is very easy with no steps - just in through the patio door.

We also loved the company of Basil, Matilda and Frank - friendly dogs and very well behaved. Sue kept a close eye on them but they were no trouble at all.

As to location, it's excellent - lovely quiet lanes and just a short drive to the see. What more could you want!

We had a lovely week and would happily visit again.

A Gem of a Find

  • 5 of 5

We have visited Cornwall several times over the years, but Little Roskymer has proved a real find in every aspect with the result that we have stayed 5 times. Spacious, well equipped and maintained to a high standard, it's peaceful location guarantees a relaxing holiday.

Sue and Svend are very welcoming (along with their dogs Basil, Matilda and Frank) and make you feel at home immediately. You arrive as guests and leave as friends.

It would seem that Sue has thought of everything from a delicious cream tea, to provisions including bacon, eggs, bread, butter, fresh fruit and other essentials to ensure a hearty breakfast on your first day. Added to that are the flowers in the living room and bedroom, and even these were renewed at the end of our first week (along with linen and towels) even though the original flowers were still in glorious bloom.

Sue and Svend have a clear commitment to ensuring their guests enjoy a stress-free holiday. Little Roskymer is quite simply a GEM.

Bliss!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful. The layout is very clever and there is a fantastic feeling of space where you need it.

The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, and the "welcome" provisions - milk, butter, delicious scones, bacon, eggs and fruit - was first class and we had fresh flowers too.

In the living room the furniture makes it look like a home, and just like a home there are books, CDs, DVDs, as well as a really good selection of maps and leaflets from local attractions.

And I've finally stayed somewhere in Cornwall with a proper shower: the wetroom is really generous in size and, again, comes with what you need.

Blessed with marvellous weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the dogs were as happy to be here as us. There are miles and miles of good walks for them within easy reach and plenty of good places to everyone to eat out and have a really great time.

Best holiday cottage we've stayed in.

  • 5 of 5

The welcome we received from the owners, Sue and Svend, and their extended family, namely the adorable Basil, Frank and Matilda, was overwhelming. The moment we stepped out the car, we were made to feel so at home.

Sue was so thoughtful, having provided milk, butter, bread, bacon, eggs, tea bags, sugar, coffee, fresh fruit and a delicious bottle of apple juice. We were also greeted with home-made scones, cream and jam.

We always plump for self-catering, but are rarely 100% satisfied with the accommodation. They usually lack something. Little Roskymer lacks nothing. Spotlessly clean, tastefully & comfortably furnished, extremely well equipped and clearly 'loved'. Ooh, must mention the shower - wow! And the bed - scrumptious! And the garden - beautiful! Could go on and on. Well done. You got everything so right. Highly recommended. D & P xx

Little Roskymer

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a pleasurable stay at Little Roskmer. The owner of the cottage was on hand to welcome us and show us over the cottage. The cottage lived up to the claims in the brochure in that it was well maintained, well equipped and comfortble. It was extremely clean and there were flowers in the rooms and locally made soaps in the bathroom and other special little touches. It truly felt like a "home from home".

The owners had provided a book listing intersting places to visit, good restaurants and lovely walks and many of the other activities that are near to hand. We particularly enjoyed visiting local gardens, and local walks. The cottage is well situated for exploring Cornwall.

We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to our friends and relatives and would happily make a return visit ourselves next time we are in that part of Cornwall.
