Magnolia Lodge is situated within the grounds of our 10 acre small holding just 3 minutes from the A38 Devon Express way and 1 mile outside the market town of Newton Abbot. The spacious accommodation, all on ground floor level, features a contemporary wood burner in the lounge, fitted kitchen with range cooker and built in appliances, 2 bedrooms (both can accommodate travel cot), 2 bathrooms, garden and parking. There are an excellent range of local shops, restaurants and facilities nearby to cater for all requirements.

Our overall experience was very good. The lodge ideally situated for many tourist attractions within easy access of main routes. The lodge was very clean and well equipped with everything needed for a stay away from home. Rose and Adrian are very friendly and welcoming and give the impression that nothing would be too much trouble if needed.

Lovely comfortable cottage with everything one would need for a great holiday.

The property was well-equipped and very comfortable. The garden was secure for our dogs and there was plenty of parking for ourselves and for the family when they visited us at the Lodge. We enjoyed playing ball on the field with the puppy and the older generation were able to watch us easily from the window and enjoy the fun too. There was penty of storage space in the bedrooms and in the porch area for dog stuff and our walking stuff. A lovely stay.

A real home from home.

Magnolia Lodge was beautifully presented and meticulously clean throughout, and absolutely everything you could possibly want was provided. (Including lovely scones & cream on arrival!) It was so easy to find and with the A38 just minutes away it took no time to get up to the moors, into Exeter or anywhere else. The Co-op on the Trago Mills site was so handy for stocking up. The Lodge is very spacious, with plenty of room for a family, and so bright and sunny, with a lovely garden - we even had lunch at the picnic table it was so warm! Lots of local information is provided in the folders - we wouldn't have discovered Canonteign Falls or the House of Marbles without them - both well worth a visit.

Truly Lovely stay at luxury Magnolia Lodge

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at Magnolia Lodge this weekend. Absolutely immaculate. The property far exceeded our expectations. Every need catered for and the most comfortable beds and furnishings. It was lovely to enter a property after a long journey and find scones, jam and cream waiting for us and also a fire made up ready to light. It is wonderful touches like these which will surely see us return sometime in the future. Lovely hosts who respected our privacy and were very helpful and accommodating. We hope to return soon.

Perfect!

We have been staying in holiday cottages for 30 years or more, but Magnolia Lodge is the best we've ever stayed in. Nothing has been skimped on. It is spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. It is a real home from home, except that the cooker is better than mine at home, and there is Sky TV!! Full size fridge, washing machine and dishwasher are all provided. Beds are comfortable and there is the flexibility of having two double rooms or one double and one twin. We stayed over the New Year period yet it was always warm, and the log fire provided extra warmth and atmosphere if needed. The location is rural yet only a few minutes drive from the market town of Newton Abbot and a selection of supermarkets and the wonderful Austins, Newton Abbot's independent department store, and the even more wonderful Ridgeways shoe shop!!! A few minutes drive in the opposite direction gets you right onto Dartmoor with Haytor very close and Hound Tor and others a bit further on. Rose is the perfect host and the mince pies, and facility to make a much needed cup of tea on our arrival was very much appreciated. We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of making a booking. We will certainly be making a return trip!

Perfect!

This is our third stay at Magnolia Lodge and it won't be our last! It is the perfect place to stay, lovely location and is very well equipped. Great for adults and children. Rose the owner is very welcoming and helpful. We definitely recommend you stay here.

I've lived in Devon all my life and simply love it! We bought Stover Park Farm, with its 10 acres, in February 2010. As a farmer's daughter I wanted my children to also be able to enjoy the countryside and outdoor life. We're situated just 3 minutes from the A38 Devon Expressway and our location provides the perfect base to visit South Devon's beautiful beaches, the English Riviera and Dartmoor. Cornwall is only 45 minutes away over the Tamar Bridge.

In April 2012 we embarked on the conversion of the cedar clad building, next to our house, which we've named "Magnolia Lodge" as it sits in the shadow of two beautiful Magnolia Trees. We wanted to create a space based on the "best bits" of our many family holiday experiences. The internal spec is contemporary and spacious and the interior decor in restful, neutral tones. The modern wood burner will add warmth and coziness during winter short breaks and the BBQ will be just what's needed for those great British summers! However, if you enjoy more adventurous cooking then our fantastic range cooker is just for you, but, if you don't want to slave over a hot stove then fear not Devon not only produces great food but cooks it too and there's plenty of great places to eat out.

Catered option available - a selection of delicious home-cooked meals,using local ingredients, delivered direct to the lodge, just heat and serve. Must be pre-booked prior to arrival. Concierge Service available to assist with the booking of local attractions/restaurants, onsite events eg Helicopter Flights, Archery, Bird of Prey experiences etc Details of local attractions and guide books are provided as well as a range of children's games and DVD's. Pets accepted by arrangement. Outside: Lawned garden area, garden furniture, BBQ, shed (suitable for bike storage) and recycling facility. Utility Room: Whilst there is no separate utility the property does has a washer-dryer, clothes airer, ironing board, iron and washing line.
