This stylish apartment that sleeps 2/4, situated on the Boulevard du Midi, boasts magnificent views of the islands, luxurious pool area and stunning Italianate gardens.

The Palais des Festivals and the famous La Croisette are a short walk away along the shore line.

Around Cannes are a number of medieval perched villages, including Mougins (about 10 minutes from Cannes once you get up to the autoroute), St-Paul-de-Vence, Antibes Old Town, and the famous perfume capital of Grasse.

There are frequent boat excursions to St-Tropez, with open air market every Tuesday and Saturday from 8am to 1pm. There is also a local Provençal market 2 minutes from the residence.

My partner and I own this apartment. We have been running the holiday rental now for over three years. We recently moved to Emilia Romagna, and I can recommend this area of Italy also!

We have an Italian restaurant in London, da Scalzo, on Elizabeth Street, Belgravia, great Jazz, great Pizza and good Prosecco !

That's enough plugging I think.

Why Enzo Scalzo chose Cannes

This is a stylist apartment, out side terrace gets the sun in the morning, great sea views, parking and Pool which is never busy. Lots of books and films if you choose to stay in. Some great contempory Art too.

It's close to town but far enough away to miss some of the traffic and noise.

Great Location and facilities for our 9-day stay

We're a retired but active couple from the English midlands, and we had a great holiday here.

We swim and run, and this is perfect for both with the long soft-sandy beach just a short barefoot walk away for her to swim her mile in the clean sea in the protected shore zone along the beach and back, and the long promenade is nice for my 10k and its kiosks 200 meters apart have scrumptious coffee and pastries. Plus the apartment has access to its own beautifully clean 20-metre pool, with warm showers and changing facilities, and very nice neighbours using it. This pool has a very shallow end, though, so not all of the 20 metres is usable for lengths.

We were grateful for the dedicated secure underground parking garage, and for the secured gated access to the building itself and its grounds. We slept well on the comfy bed in the separate bedroom; the trains are far enough away to not be the cause of us waking, and the sun on the balcony made our mid-morning breakfasts really relaxing and enjoyable. We found it a big plus that the sun moved off the apartment after midday - when its 32 degrees C, you don't need afternoon or evening sunshine to heat the rooms even more!

The kitchen was cramped but adequate; we needed the washing machine and dishwasher, and the fridge, cooking and microwave facilities were adequate for two of us. Toilet with washbasin right next to hot-water cylinder provided instant hot water, and the separate bathroom with washbasin and bath / shower was adequate too.

The internet provision was a MiFi dongle using 3G from the cellphone network, and was slow, just 100kbps - not a good place to update the operating system on your Mac or to download windows 10...

The only downside for us of this lovely apartment was that the poor lady who does the cleaning turned up to let us in on day one with one arm in plaster and 4 broken fingers, so the apartment was not specially clean..

Meanwhile, you can walk into Cannes the 2km along the sea front, or grab the bus just outside the front secure gate for €1.50 into town, there seem to be 6 buses an hour at least. Walking the other way into La Bocca gives access to the train station and to all the shops and markets you could wish for to support your daily living, with the nicest fruit and croissants available.

On our last day we met the apartment owner, a wonderful friendly Italian gentleman who has owned the apartment for twenty years, and who has been a joy to rent from.

Stayed here for the Monaco GP, fantastic location, great transport links, fresh local market, overlapped with the film festival - all in all a great stay, start to finish - booking arrangements made easy through Jodie. Highly recommend.
