Villa Maze8, a 2 bedroom Villa enjoys a desirable location 300m from the fashionable Megali Ammos beach. Bright and spacious this traditional villa has been tastefully re-modernised to a high standard. Leading from the living room are double French windows that open up onto a sun terrace, large gardens and courtyard creating an atmosphere of combined indoor and outdoor living space. Guests can enjoy the facilities at the neighbouring Lalaria hotel including the outdoor swimming pool. Skiathos town, a 10 minute stroll away has a chic and cosmopolitan feel, yet it's friendly and relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect place for everyone. There is truly nothing better than sitting down by the harbour with its magnificent array of yachts, people watching whilst sipping a Vino or enjoying a frappé.

About the Owner

We had been visiting the Island of Skiathos for 8 years when in June 2011 we stumbled across a cosy traditional Villa that was run down and in desperate need of repair. The gardens were so overgrown you could barely see the rooftop. Nevertheless, we instantly fell in love with it and immediately put in an offer. Since then, we have lovingly renovated the Villa and its grounds and truly hope all our guests enjoy the Villa has much as we do. Although currently based in the UK our 5 year plan is to achieve a better work/life balance by living in Skiathos for 6 months of the year. We have been fortunate to travel to many places over the years but there is something truly magical about Skiathos & the Skiathans that is difficult to put into words. We hope you experience the magic like we do!

Exactly as described

Villa and gardens were very clean and tidy and the service from the lady who looked after the place was excellent.

Although near the road this did not bother us as the location was great, just minutes from the lovely beaches and tavernas

as well as the town itself, no need for taxi or bus.

The use of the hotel pool and pool bar next door is an added bonus, we were always made to feel welcome.

We would definitely use the villa again.

Some lovely tavernas on the beach, our favourite being the Swell Bar.

For live music try The Blind Dog.

A lovely villa with fantastic outdoor space. Ideally located for the beach, town and local amenities. Whilst situated just off the main road, the traffic noise did not cause us any problems. We would definitely like to return in the future.

Nice clean Villa. Greeted on arrival, cannot fault the service.

Unfortunately the Villa is location on the side of The Main Road with only a wall separating the garden from the road which is not mentioned in the details. Very Noisy and Very Busy all day. It was so bad that we left after 2 days

Owner's Response: Dear Sue and Graham, We were very sorry to hear that you did not like the location of the Villa, which is situated close to Skiathos Town and 300 metres from the beach. I understand that you wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful and whilst the Villa is set back from the main road and enjoys privacy it is not in a quiet area, quite the opposite, in fact, as its situated in the highly desirable area of Megali Ammos. As a result of this there is some noise from the main road however, we were very surprised to hear that it was very noisy and busy all day with traffic as usually, in May the Island is quite. I had also just returned from the Villa the week before and didn't experience noise and traffic all day long either. We are however, pleased to hear you found somewhere that met your requirements and hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday. Best wishes Beverley & Keven Di Par

Lovely villa in convenient position within walking distance of Skiathos town. With the beach, local tavernas, three supermarkets and bus stops just across the road what more could you want?

The gardens of the villa provide an added extra.

The Villa is centrally located in the highly desirable area of Megali Ammos where we have stayed on many occasions so to find a place of our own is a dream come true. The Villa is a stones throw away from the beach and a stroll into the Centre of Skiathos, which is so convenient particularly in the evenings. Set back from the main road and close to bus stop 5 you really don't need to worry about transport although, to explore and truly experience the magic of the Island a car (even for a day or two) is highly recommended.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The Villa is 300m away from Megali Ammos beach one of the best beaches on the Island. Megali Ammos is a golden sandy beach on the outskirts of Skiathos town and hosts a variety of cafés, restaurants and taverns. Located close to bus stop 5 all the main beaches are within easy access.

Travel:

Centrally located at Megali Ammos on the outskirts of Skiathos Town close to bus stop 5 a car is not necessary. A 10 minute taxi ride from the airport should cost no more than €10 in peak season.

Distances:

A 10 minute stroll will take you into the centre of Skiathos Town.

The owners enjoy a good relationship with the neighbouring Lalaria Hotel. The owners are happy for guests to use their facilities including swimming pool and Wi-Fi. Outside: The Villa enjoys spacious outside gardens, courtyard and sun terrace with a secure gated entrance providing complete privacy. There is secure car parking. Subtle outside lighting surrounds the property creating an ambience to unwind and relax. Outside dining furniture and sun loungers ensure you can indulge in soaking up the sun, eat breakfast whilst the sun rises or enjoy al fresco dining has the sun sets. A barbecue is also provided for guests use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are changed and the Villa is cleaned every forth day.
