Lovely villa, nice location

Christopher and Olga's villa is clean, very well equipped, and nicely situated. It is on a modern development slightly outside of Turre itself but this was perfect for a relaxing, private holiday. Sunny days and warm October evenings sat outside on the patio are a lasting memory. Turre is a short walk away, or just a few minutes by car, and here there are several shops and supermarkets from which to purchase provisions, and enough cafes, restaurants and bars to keep one fully occupied without need to travel further. There are many other places to visit, fairly close to hand, too.

Fantastic Villa with all amenities.

The property was very clean and well maintained.

When we encountered a couple of problems whilst at the villa, these were addressed swiftly by the owner/ property manager.

I would recommend this property to friends and relatives. The villa is located in a good position should you wish to drive out to Mojacar and Garrucha, both of which are about a 10 minute drive away and definitely worth a visit.

We were recommended a couple of restaurants, we particularly liked Casa Adelina and Mari Cruz (typically Spanish cuisine) in Turre. We also enjoyed a meal at the Italian restaurant Osteria in nearby Mojacar as well as Bellavista.

My family holidayed in this beautiful villa for a week .The villa was everything we hoped for and more . Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and gorgeous pool .The weather was fab...We ate out every night except for one night we had a barbecue in the villa ...Would highly recommend this villa it has everything you need for a perfect holiday

A very pleasantly situated, comfortable and well equipped property.

The villa is situated in a quiet residential areas at an elevation which provides views over the surrounding properties towards the mountains. It is a short downhill walk into Turre where there are a couple of supermarkets and a few bars and restaurants and an easy drive to a wide variety of places in the local area such as the attractive hilltop village of Mojacar which is lovely to wander round at night with pretty pedestrianised streets, characterful restaurants and quirky bars. Garrucha is more of a typical Spanish seaside resort with a wide variety of eating places and shops. There are miles and miles of easily accessible beaches with plenty of parking and most of them have lifeguards. The sea was rough in August, not suitable for children, but it is possible to find sheltered areas with roped off sections for swimming and there were inflatables in the sea off Garrucha near the port.

The villa itself is clean and well equipped. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of storage space. The master bedroom with its walk out sun terrace is particularly pleasant. The kitchen is full of utensils and the cupboards contained plenty of basics - washing powder, cleaning products, condiments etc.

The pool area is lovely, perfect for children. You can sit and watch them from the shaded terrace or lie out on one of the sunbeds provided.

Location

There are so many reasons for us buying in this location. Our Villa is on a new privately owned development of detached villas with pools that are over the bridge from Turre. It is a peaceful location with views of the ancient white washed town of Mojacar and surrounding mountains, yet within walking distance (10 mins) of the local town with its many restuarants(Spanish,Indian, Chinese), tapas bars, supermarkets, shops, Italian pizza place, bakery, butcher, bank, post office, chemist, hairdresser. It has a good Friday morning local market. Don't miss the spit roast chicken then from two stalls with fresh bread from the bakery-delicious! At the entrance to Agua Nueva there are tennis courts, boules, and a fitness park. Many excellent golf courses and beaches are within easy reach by car.

A drive of 7 minutes takes you to the nearest beaches at Mojacar playa

There are also excellent beaches at Vera Playa, Garrucha, Villaricos and others within easy reach by car involving short journeys.

Travel:

Almeria airport is a 45 minute drive along the motorway. Alicante is a 2 and a half hour drive along the motorway (part way by toll road option)

Murcia is a 1hour 45 minute drive along the same mororway. Car hire is essential.

Distances:

Villa is located as part of the town of Turre with all normal amenities. Los Gallardos is a 5 minute drive. Mojacar is a 5 minute drive. Garrucha is a 15 minute drive. Vera is a 20 minute drive.

Turre town has all amenities. Pharmacy, Bank, Supermarkets, Restaurants,hairdressor/barbers, dentists, doctors, police, firestation, market (Friday morning).

Booking Notes:
In addition to the rental fee we ask for a returnable deposit of £150
to be held against possible damages that is returnable within 14 days of your return. Rental monies are requested 6 weeks in advance of stay. It will be returned in event of cancellation until 30 days before arrival day. It is then non refundable.

Changeover Day:
Change over day is flexible. Check out to be made by 10 am if new guests are expected the same day. Check in under the same circumstances not before 4 pm. Otherwise we are able to be more flexible.

Notes on prices:
Prices are subject to change without notice, but once agreed by email with a client an offered price is always honoured.

During the months of November through April, when the lounge wood burning stove may be used for heating, the guests are expected to purchase their own wood from the local supermarket. The letting cost does not include the supply of Wood for the stove. The air conditioning units can also be set to heating instead of air cooling and the cost of the electricity used is not included in the letting cost . Therefore a meter reading will be made at the start of the visit and end of the visit and the cost deducted from the "damages" deposit for stays of up to one month. Longer stays will require monthly checks on use and settlement of costs made to the owners monthly.

The Villa has its own private 4mx8m pool with steps and handrail into 1m depth sloping down to 2m depth with under water lighting option.(light switch in pool cabin). There is ample room for sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool and other areas. A portable gas barbecue for alfresco dinning if desired. Roofed patio overlooking the pool provides protection from direct sunlight. two other patios on the opposite side of the Villa to chase (or avoid) the sun. A roof top solarium with relaxing views of ancient Mojacar and Cabrerra mountains. Off street parking at the rear. It is a quiet location but close to all amenities. Minutes by car to beaches at Majorca playa, Vera playa, Garrucha, Villaricos etc. Golf at Valle del Este, Desert Springs, Marina golf, cortijo grande and much more.

  • Notes on accommodation: Smoking in the Villa is not permitted. No glass drinking glasses are permitted in the pool area for safety reasons. Note; It is the guests responsibility to arrange adequate insurance cover as the owners do not accept any responsibility for loss or damages to personal belongings or personal liability for accident whilst staying at the property. Please do not leave fans or lights or Air Conditioning on unattended due to the high cost of electricity in Spain. Water is likewise a very precious and expensive resource here. Please use it with respect. The pool is kept clean and serviced on a regular weekly basis. Outside: Six Sun loungers are provided with cushions. Portable table and chairs for outside dining are included. The private pool is 4mx8m with steps into 1m depth down to 2m at other end. There is a gas barbecue for the guests use. There is also a washing line for the back patio and clothes horse for inside drying. There is garden planting around the pool patio edges. Utility Room: Dishwasher, washing machine. Access to side patios, clothes line and back of the property from the kitchen. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean Towels and linen are provided before occupancy. Property is cleaned before and after occupancy. There is no maid service but an extra change of towels or linen can be provided if requested during your stay for a small charge.
