Beautiful and comfortable Villa Amani is superbly located, combining complete privacy with truly breathtaking views over the Gulf of St Tropez and the mature trees within the Domaine de Nartelle. From the house it is a short 10-15min walk to Nartelle beach below, the delightful market town of St Maxime is a 5min drive away from where it is a 15min boat ride to the centre of St Tropez. The family house is superbly designed and beautifully decorated, with every last detail necessary for short and long stays. Interior facilities including an extensive library of books, a lovely wood fire and a satellite television. Outside the house there is a large swimming pool, surrounded by extensive seating and sun loungers, an outdoor eating area, a large garden and a boule pitch.

Notes:
Outside: The wide sliding glass doors in the Sitting Room lead to the south facing colonnaded Main Terrace which has shaded seating areas at either end. A wide, spotlit staircase sweeps down from the centre of the Main Terrace to the filtered, fenced and gated Swimming Pool (with Roman steps at the shallow end and a diving board at the other). The pool is 15 metres in length, 5m in width, with a depth of 1.15 metres at one end, shelving to about 2.15m at the opposite end. At the pool's shallow end there is a Covered Area equipped with banquette seating, a bar, a small fridge and a sink. There is also a cushioned seating area at the side of the pool opposite the stairs down with a large umbrella. Both areas have sockets for plugs if required. Below the pool is a well-shaded lawn with, at one end, a specially sanded Boules Court. (The 'boules' are kept in a cupboard in the Hall, together with a couple of tennis racquets and gym shoes etc). Utility Room: Fully equipped utility room which is accessed externally behind the swimming pool. With a washer and a dryer, an ironing board and an iron, and a separate WC. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, bath and pool towels are provided free of charge, and will be changed on a weekly basis. Other: Internal dining table can be adapted to set up to 10.

Wonderful House

We had a really magical and very relaxing 5 days staying in Laura's beautiful house. It is beautifully decorated and in excellent condition with comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. There are lots of shady areas to escape from the sun to relax and read a book from her extensive collection. The pool is fantastic and a great size. It is a very tranquil and secluded location, yet only a few minutes from the chic restaurants and boutiques of Ste Maxime with St Tropez an easy boat ride away. There is a lovely beach which is 10 minutes walk to. We cannot recommend this house highly enough. Douglas and Becky, who are the guardians of the house, are fantastic, very welcoming and friendly and both are superb cooks.

Wonderful family get-together at Villa Amani

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Amani in May this year. The house is really beautiful and very well maintained. The facilities are great and provided the perfect setting for our family get-together! As a group of nine adults and one child, we used all five bedrooms, each of which being very nicely decorated and having its own bathroom which is extremely convenient. We loved the terrace overlooking the Sea, the pool and the boule area.

Becky and Douglas, the guardians of the house who are living next door, were so kind and very helpful for any kind of questions. When we had first problems to find the property upon our arrival, Douglas was so kind to pick us up. We also enjoyed a great dinner cooked by the two of them on one evening and served on the terrace.

We can definitely recommend Villa Amani to anybody who is looking for a relaxed and enjoyable time at Côte d'Azur. We definitely spent a wonderful week of quality time with the whole family of three generations.

Perfect!

Laura the owner is absolutely lovely and very easy to deal with which makes booking very stress free and straight forward. The house is located in a beautiful location with fantastic views over the Mediterranean. Although there are other houses around and about you really cant see them so all areas of the house and pool are extremely private. The rooms are all lovely and well proportioned and the pool is superb and much larger than average. We love this house and will definitely be returning.

The right place for a successful vacation

Our third stay in Villa Amani fulfilled all our expectations also this year. The beautiful house, the stunning view, the quiet surroundings, the lovely garden and pool, and not to mention Rachel and Martin who did their utmost to make our vacation such a wonderful experience. Their cooking was excellent, and they even did all the shopping for us. The property is very clean and wellmaintained, and it is very easy to relate to the owner. We have stayed in Villa Amani both with friends and family with small children. In our opinion the house has everything to make a vacation successful for adults as well as children of all ages.

The jewell of the crown

We had our annual family gathering in Vila Amani with the family members flying from Buenos Aires, New York, London and Geneva.The house is extremely spacious ,very tastefully decorated, with an enormous well kept garden surrounded by trees and a magnificient view of the sea. The pool area is very large and very well designed with lots of space to lounge and a shaded area with a bar with a fridge. Throughout the house you will find bookshelves full of hardcover books with literature for all tastes. The real added value were Rachel and Martin who not only were attentive to our needs but cooked the most delicious meals for us ...the beef wellington and the foie gras poele were to die for and the triple chocolate brownie was top notch. This was a delightfull treat.

rented villas on the french riviera for many years and we would now put this one at the top of our list. It is a beautiful villa with just about

everything you could want. Martin & Rachel were excellent and dinner

in was consistently better than dinner out. Our thanks to the owner,

Laura, who made everything easy despite a very late booking.

Further Details:

There are tall entrance gates, operated by remote control, that open onto a floodlit forecourt which provides adequate parking space, and on the far side of which is the villa's front door.

If you would like some cooking and cleaner please contact the owner.

There are 2 cots and 2 high chairs.

There is an old all-weather tennis court on the Domaine approx 15 minutes' walk. There is also a tennis club on the far side of Les Issambres (temporary membership is easily obtained) where, being very near the sea, playing conditions can be somewhat cooler than on the Domaine itself. Thirdly, there is a rather grander tennis club on the "Amani" side of Ste Maxime where temporary membership is also available.

There are a number of enjoyable walks and mountain bike trails in the vicinity. Mountain bikes, scooters etc can be hired in Ste Maxime.

A ferry service runs between Ste Maxime and Tropez – which takes 10 -15 mins. In addition, boats can be hired in Ste Maxime's harbour to take passengers directly to St Tropez' famous beaches - Pampelone, Gigare and Cavalaire.

There is nearby sailing, water-skiing and wind-surfing for all ages.

There are many pretty villages which are well worth a visit; Grimaud and Port Grimaud, Plan-de-la-Tour, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Gassin and Ra

Changeover Day:
Unless otherwise agreed, all lets will be for a minimum of 1 week, from Saturday to Saturday. Tenants should arrive between 4 pm and 6 pm, and leave before 10 am on the agreed day. They will be met on arrival at the villa.

Notes on prices:
Deposit of 25% of the rent payable on signing the Rental Agreement, with the balance to be paid 6 weeks before the start of tenancy.
A Booking&Security Deposit of £750 is payable on signing a Rental Agreement. This will be applied to the cost of phone calls made from the house & the cost of replacing/making good any losses, damages incurred during the rental. The balance will be refunded within 8 weeks of the end of the tenancy.
