This property is a home from home superb!!

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage in a great area for exploring the Yorkshire Dales with so many amazing walks on the door step. Exceptionally clean property with every thing you could need it really is a home from home. The owner clearly loves this home and this shows in the decor and the attention to details in all the rooms. There is plenty to see and do in the local area and lots of good places to eat within walking distance. We are very much looking forward to staying here again in the future and will be back with the family for a longer stay. I cannot say enough about this property wish all rentals were as amazing as this!!

Perfect weekend in the Dales

  • 5 of 5

Had such a lovely stay at Bank House. It is immaculate, beautifully decorated and well equipped. It feels like a real home from home and you can tell it has been renovated with love and care. The loft bedroom is particularly lovely, with a very modern ensuite. It is right in the centre of the village really close to shops and some really nice pubs - one nearby had a selection of more than 50 gins! It is a great area for walking and Bank House was the perfect cottage to return to after a long day. I can't wait to go back.

Clean, tidy, central location, well appointed, quiet and cozy

  • 5 of 5

As a party of 5 adults we filled the place, but if you have children 7 total would work. A clean and tidy property, very well appointed bathrooms and small kitchen, on demand central heating and hot water. Arrived to complimentary wine and chocolates which was great as late arrivals. Although situated in a central location it was a very quiet property, even with the occasional vehicle passing the door. Stair ways are steep and the top one narrow, watch your head!! Villager has around 4 pubs offering good ale and varying quality of food, the best one for food we found was the Masons on the A65, at the turning to the village. A couple of boutique restaurants are located in the village, one of which was a Tapas wine bar, well worth a visit. Also a local Co op, paper shop, a number of craft shops and 2 Indian restaurants with many surrounding village pubs offering food and drink. Lots to do locally IF you're a sightseer or walker or you just want peace and quiet. Parking is a challenge but wherever you park in the village is close and free parking is offered at the pub on the hill on the main street. All in all this property was ideal for us and we thought it very good value, the owner communication was excellent and we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Very cosy and welcoming centrally located cottage. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

  • 5 of 5

Very good welcome instructions from the owner Denise who also dropped me a quick email on the day of arrival to see if we had any issues - we didn't.

Parking was fine despite the central location and it was also very quiet in the.cottage with no road noise. The weather was miserable during our stay but the garden was potentially great for a summer evening.

Some suggestions:

The front room could down with a couple of table lamps to soften the lighting.
