We bought the property because it has a perfect location and a quality feel. We also fell in love with the laid-back atmosphere at the barrio.
Being in a quiet spot in the heart of the city close to all amenities.
Hearing seagulls in the morning and watching the sunset at the beach.
The location of the flat is excellent. Literally a five minute walk to the beach and situated in the old part of Alicante. We enjoyed town and the marina in particular.
The flat is clean and comfortable. We went without a kettle for the week despite reporting it being broken which was disappointing.
We had a four night stay in this apartment which is in a great location in the old town overlooking a quiet pedestrianised street close to bars, restaurants, beach and castle. The apartment itself is on the second floor of a reasonably quiet building and was a suitable size for our party of three. It was reasonably basic, but this isn't a problem when out all day. The place was very clean with good wifi, however what let this place down was the shower was so poor. The hot water only lasted long enough for one person before a 20 minute wait for the next person and the pressure was poor. Also the bedding and pillows could do with updating as they appeared a little dated. Overall good location but you get what you pay for.
This was my our fifth stay in Marta and David's apartment, it is almost our Alicante home from home. Marta and David were as always the perfect hosts, always prompt to reply to any text we sent and deal with any enquiry.
The warm, sunny weather in Alicante in late February is a perfect antidote to the seemingly never-ending British winter.
The apartment is in a great location for enjoying the delights of Alicante. One of these delights being the al-fresco dining, of which the best plaza, Santa Faz, is almost on the doorstep.
We are planning to return later in the year.

This apartment was ideal for my wife and I along with our two sons (6&3). Plenty space, all the facilities we needed, really clean and comfy. The location is perfect for everything Alicante has to offer. Great cafes, bars and shops. Beach and castle nearby and lots of walks and parks close by too. We had great communications from the owners prior to our stay and we were shown round the apartment on the day we arrived. We'll definitely be back in the future.

Met by David outside town hall after an easy C6 bus ride from the airport to plaza del mar on seafront A great way to enter the City
David took time not only to show us around the apartment but provided a map and highlighted where everything was from sights to food shopping to good eating places
Everything is in easy walking distance from the apartment but if you need to go a little farther the buses and tram easy to use and inexpensive only 1.45 Euros for anywhere in metropolitan area
David and Marta have been very kind and helpful and this added to our holiday experience Role on another visit
Have to say the break was perfect from start to finish.. Upon securing the apartment with Marta over email everything ran smoothly. We were met by David and shown around the apartment which is just lovely and very clean. The apartment has everything you need. The location is the very best, you really are a minutes walk from all you could need. We are already planning our next trip. Alicante is a lovely place to visit and staying in such great apartment in the best location made it even better - Massive Thanks to Marta and David

Coast/Beach:
A minute´s walk from sandy Postiguet beach, fully equipped with benches, palm trees, sunshades, sunbeds and beach bars.
15 minutes by tram from huge and sandy San Juan beach and undeveloped beach coves of Cabo Huertas, perfect for snorkelling.
Travel:
15 minutes by taxi from Alicante airport.
The airport C6 bus stop (Plaza del Mar) is a minute´s walk from the flat. It runs every 20 minutes between 6:30 am and 22:30 pm.
Car hire is not really necessary.
Distances:
The new tram line takes you up the Alicante coast line as fas ar Denia.
The tram stop is a minute´s walk away from the flat.
Recommended places for a day trip are Villajoyosa, with it´s colourful houses, El Campello, a charming fishing village, Altea or Calpe.
Tabarca island is also a perfect day out to so some snorkelling. The ferry is a 3 minute´s walk from the flat.
The botanical gardens in Elche are highly recommended.
