Villa in Caminha,3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, pool, very handily positioned, wifi...
A luxury villa with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a heated pool and total privacy. Guaranteed in the middle of nature but integrated in one of the areas of Portugal with better quality of life and greater number of houses with architectural interest.
Although the house is in a quiet and refined place within driving distance you find beaches, exhibitions, ancient cities and nature parks. Next to the house you can go hiking, watching horses, pick flowers and a little far away is the famous Portuguese way to Santiago de Compostela.
The aspect of the house means that the private pool is in the sun all day and in the evening the west facing patio gives perfect views over the setting sun.
Inside there`s comfort and everything you need. It is a spacious home and you can breathe balance and well being .
You don´t have to wait for anyone: three bedrooms to sleep with bathroom each, modern architecture, a large living room and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher , microwave, oven , ceramic hob , dishwasher machine. Laundry / machine room with washing machine iron and ironing board . For cooler/winter evenings the house has both central heating and a log burning stove and fuel is provided.
Clean and lawn and flower garden space.
The old town (midle age) of Caminha is not far from our Squirrels House...very beautifull and with friendly people. A save beach of Moledo and the rivers Coura e Minho in big green areas.
The town of Caminha is just down the road and it's a delight. Better, still the nearest beach is majestic, Pine Forrest lined white sands and Atlantic Ocean. The huge spaces are almost empty, Then on the other side of the sandy prominence is a Mediterranean like beach with people and waveless water . Take your pick. Around are some great places to visit and outdoor markets.

I was very happy when you told me you loved the house and the pictures and I was more happier when you recognize that Caminha zone has gorgeous things and many interesting activities . When you left here very tanned and healthy seemed younger. You Are sportsmen who took advantage of the opportunities that exist here . Farrier is a good family and trustworthy people , I wish you much luck and hapiness.

We loved staying here. It's as lovely as the pictures suggest. The town of Caminha is just down the road and it's a delight. Better still the beach is majestic. Pine Forrest lined white sands and Atlantic Ocean. The huge spaces are almost empty. Then on the other side of the sandy prominence is a Mediterranean like beach with people and waveless water. Take your pick. Around are some great places to visit. For us, it made a perfect 2 weeks. The weather is cooler and less reliable than further south, but that worked well for us, and makes for great scenery.
Excellent villa in a lovely part of Portugal
A beautifully appointed villa, well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were met on arrival by the owner Rosa Maria, who made us very welcome in her home. Located close to Caminha which has a good atmosphere with all its cafes, restaurants and shops. The beaches in the area are fantastic, not overcrowded and easily accessed. Visits to other local towns were enjoyed and even a trip on the ferry into Spain is recommended. This a lovely area of Portugal to visit which is peaceful yet has plenty of things to do. Caminha is only a one hour drive from Porto airport with easy driving. We combined our stay at the villa with a couple of days in Porto itself which is highly recommended. Our thanks to Rosa Maria for making herself available throughout our stay and the gift of her favourite wine from the region.
Definitely lives up to the photos!!!
We had a wonderful holiday, the house was fantastic, beautifully furnished, very much home from home, with everything you could need.
Caminha is a lovely market town with cafes and restaurants aswell as great beaches within a very short drive. Would definitely recommend it.
Delightful property situated in a lovely quiet traditional Portuguese village. The accommodation is of a very high standard, with everything you could need.
Rosa Maria was a fantastic host and available throughout our stay to answer any queries. We enjoyed the gift of fresh organic fruits and the local Vinho Verde.
We would highly recommend the property and hope to return in the future.
The Property is close to Caminha a pretty village with lovely cafes and restaurants (4 km walk). Near by are lovely beaches, mountains for walking and plenty of sight seeing options.
The weather was close to 30C whilst we were there so air conditioning would have been an added bonus!
Quality holiday area
The villa is in a quiet area, just outside the village and is handily positioned, being in close proximity to the A28 motorway, an hour from Porto airport, and just a short drive into the historic town of Caminha where restaurants and coffee bars abound. Supermarkets/shopping also available here. Easy driving to beaches at Moledo and Ancora, also historic centres Viana do Castela, Ponte de Lima and Valenca. The villa looks good in the photos and living in it does not disappoint. A good quality holiday home that together with the sunshine make for a good holiday
I Love Caminha
We stayed here at very short notice and couldn't have asked for better weather and location. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the villa was not only stunning but perfectly positioned for a peaceful and tranquil getaway. Thank you Armandho and Rosa Maria for making our much needed break, a memorable experience. A heated swimming pool would have made it the perfect holiday and i believe, this will be the case next year. Excellent beaches and restaurants in the vicinity.Sharon & Mark

Activity and Interests
Special interest holidays:
Surfing and kite surfing are very common. Kayaking/canyoning and water skiing can be arranged. A drive into Spain for shopping and sightseeing is very easy from the new bridge at Vila Nova de Cerveira. Porto and Vigo offers some astonishing shopping malls with all the international brands you could hope for under one roof. Of course Porto (1 hour away) is the second capital of Portugal that is famous for its wines, culture and historic sites. Night-life is very good at beach places such as Caminha and Baiona, during summer. During the year Vigo (30 min away) has a vibrant night life.
This coast has miles of beach with golden sand. It is the Atlantic so there is no shortage of surf spots. The nearest beach is Caminha, 5km which has a sheltered spot inside the mouth of the beautiful Minho river. The next beach is Moledo which is rather trendy To the 'other side', in Spain, Baiona a beach inside of a bay is very popular. There are small bars and restaurants at all the beaches. Porto and Santiago de Compostela are 1 hour away by motorway
BA, TAP & Ryanair fly to Porto airport which is an hour away by car. The motorway is quite empty and goes through the lovely countryside. Ryanair also flies to Santiago de Compostela in Spain which is the same distance from Caminha (on motorway).
The house is situated in the village of Venade, a few minutes drive or leisurely stroll from the historic town of Caminha which sits on the mouth of the River Minho and the Atlantic Ocean on the border with Spain. Spain can be reached by ferry from Caminha (10 min) . The house is an ideal centre for exploring the historic towns and sites of the Costa Verde and Galicia regions. This town has a medieval wall and pleasant squares. There you have banks, supermarkets, restaurants, police, night clubs
Caminha has a bustling market on Wednesdays and a daily fish and fruit market. There are a number of supermarkets and the town is well serviced with restaurants and coffee shops. Everything is open year around. There is an emergency medical centre in the town and a large regional hospital at Viana de Castelo
