In a quiet location between Tintagel and Boscastle on the North Cornwall Coast, only a 2 minute walk from the Coast Path. Appletree Cottage sits in the Small Hamlet of Bossiney which has views over to the sea and extensive views of the countryside to the rear. The property is an upside down construction with the living accommodation and Kitchen upstairs and the 2 Bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. There is a small secluded south facing garden to the side of the property which has a lawn area with garden furniture and bbq. Bossiney has been designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Appletree Cottage itself looks directly out onto the former residence of Sir Francis Drake, and is only a 10 minute walk to Tintagel with all its Myths and Legends, there is a local bus stop directly outside the property from which you can catch buses to Boscastle, Camelford and links to many other Villages and towns.

Superb Holiday Cottage

Fabulous cottage situated within walking distance of beautiful Bossiney Cove, Tintagel village and some lovely coastal walks.

The cottage is well equipped and furnished to a very high standard with everything you would expect and is spotlessly clean.

The owners were very helpful and provided us with the tide times for the nearby beaches which came in very handy.

We have already booked the cottage for 2017 and can;t wait to be back!

perfect for active family with teenagers

We had a delightful week's holiday in this lovely purpose built holiday cottage annexed to the owners property . The listing description for the property was very accurate and we really appreciated that it was exceptionally clean and perfectly equiped to suit all our self catering holiday requirements

The owner's warm welcome extended to a much appreciated cream tea , which we enjoyed in the bright upstairs living area whilst watching the local Tintagel carnival parade through the pretty hamlet that is Bossiney .

Other thoughtful touches included a local tide guide which allowed us to time our visit perfectly to enjoy the short but steep walk to the beach at Bossiney Haven and take advantage of this perfect sandy bay which offered a really beautiful expanse of clear blue sea to swim in, there were also torches to explore the extensive caves .

Another special feature of this property was the proximity to the coastal path, with Tintagel a 20 minute walk in one direction and the Rocky valley a 20 minute walk in the other direction.

We appreciated the file of local information and local recommendations which helped us locate other good beaches ,attractions and food !

It's always the sign of a good holiday when you leave still wanting to explore and experience more.We had a really lovely and memorable holiday and would not hesitate in recommending this property to others.

Superb

My wife and I, plus 2 friends from the States, stayed at this cottage during April 2013.

I found the owner's communication (Vicki) very helpful and she went out of her way to accommodate our booking outside of the normal arrangements i.e. we wanted to arrive on a Friday rather than a Saturday.

I have to say we thought we had hit the jackpot on arrival - the cottage was located ideally for our plans to tour Cornwall; in particular Tintagel.

The owner made us welcome from the outset (without being too overbearing) and took a lot of care to ensure that we were fully settled before leaving us to our 'gift' of clotted cream.

The property was immaculate, clean and comfortable to be in. Everything was well maintained and looked brand new. We didn't want for anything.

Our acid test was - 'did we look forward to coming back to the property after a day's sightseeing' - the answer was yes.

We all agreed that we would return again if the opportunity presented itself.

The price was very reasonable.

So, overall, a 5* experience.

Highly recommended.

Nearest Beach is Bossiney Cove which is 10 minutes walk away and is a tidal beach like most others on the North Cornwall Coast, and although it is a steep walk down to the beach you may often find that you have the Beach to yourself. there is Trebarwith Beach a 5 minute Drive away, and others such as Widemouth Bay, Tegardock, Polzeath, Rock all within a 20 minute drive.

Travel:

Newquay Airport is a 45 minute drive away.

Distances:

Tintagel is half a mile away

Boscastle is 3 miles away

Camelford is 5 miles away

Further Details:

Tintagel has 2 local stores that cater for most peoples food needs and they are open in summer from approx 7:30am – 9:00pm, for those who prefer Superstores there is Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda all within a 30 minute drive although Asda, Tescos and Sainsburys do deliver to Bossiney. There is also an Excellent local Butchers in Tintagel a Boots Chemist, Post Office, Doctors Surgery along with Local Pubs and many many restaurants within a 15 minute drive.
