Beautiful Villa 2km from Lorgues, Var, Provence-Alpes-Cote D'Azur, France - Secluded Location On Quiet Road, With Lovely Gardens Planted With Lavender And Olive Trees

Petite Fleur is a thoroughly modernised, single storey secluded villa, situated by the tiny hamlet of Les Salettes. A short avenue between two secluded houses leads to the house, with landscaped grounds containing a mix of mature fig, mulberry and olive trees, and beds of lavender. The west-facing patio has three French windows leading on to it, as well as a traditional wrought-iron pergola covering Provencale-style cast-iron table and chairs. A pebbled pathway leads to the private and totally secluded 10x5m swimming pool, with sun chairs and parasols, and an abri where you can cool down, have a read, a snooze or a pastis, or all of the above! It is a five minute drive to the historic village of Lorgues with its 2 supermarkets and about a dozen eateries. Another ten minutes takes you to Les Arcs village and TGV railway station, and the huge HyperU Shopping Center nearby. Five minutes more brings you to the A8 autoroute, leading to- well, the most famous coastline in the world!

Coast/Beach:

The whole of the Cote d'Azur is at your disposal! The nearest beach/coastal town is Ste. Maxime, a 40-minute drive away. From there one can take the 10-minute ferry across to St. Tropez, or drive around the bay. To the west of St. Tropez there are numerous beautiful inlets with secluded beaches. Alternatively, to the North of Lorgues is the beautiful Lac de St. Croix, with its swimming, kayaking, sailing, picnic areas, and the "Grand Canyon of Europe", the Gorges de Verdon.

Travel:

Nice is the nearest large airport, approx. 90 minutes drive away. Marseilles is farther away, but sometimes can take the same time because the route is not as busy. Toulon is the nearest airport, less than an hour from Lorgues. The TGV stops at Les Arcs Draguignan, which is only 20 minutes from the villa.

Further Details:

There are two supermarkets in Lorgues, and several excellent restaurants. There is a Hypermarket called HyperU near Les Arcs, 15km from the villa. This is a shopping centre, with an excellent supermarket. All the main banks with ATM’s are in Lorgues, and the Collegiale or cathedral is a must visit. The whole area is surrounded by vineyards, the largest being Chateau de Berne.

To secure a reservation you will be asked to sign a short contract, and pay one half of the rental as a deposit. The remaining amount is payable four weeks before the rental period. You will be met by our representative on arrival, shown around etc., and given the keys.

Changeover Day:
Rentals commence on Saturdays at 4pm, and end on Saturdays at 10.30am. In exceptional cases the changeover days may be flexible.

Notes:

  • Outside: The swimming pool is 10 x 5 metres. It has a paddling area at one end, sloping to a depth of 2. 5 metres at the deep end. It is completely secluded, and separate from the villa, and has a generous sunbathing area with sun chairs and shades, a security alarm and locking gates. If swimming or sunbathing are not your thing, there is a generous Abri where one can have a read, a beer, or a snooze. There is a sun-heated shower, and the area is surrounded with olive trees and lavender beds. The gravelled area near the house is suitable for table-tennis or boules, and a gas barbecue stands ready for the evening meal! Utility Room: Utility area off the livingroom has washing machine, cupboards, ironing-board, clothes horse, etc. There is also a small office desk with phone, Wi-Fi. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided, and the property is cleaned before each letting. Weekly cleaning and changing is provided on request at extra charge. Other: The dining area features a Provencal-style dining table with matching chairs, seating up to 8. Outside the french door is a traditional arched terrace, with 8-seater wrought-iron tiled-top table and chairs, a wrought-iron pergola overhead, and a gas BBQ.
