Guests to lingmell have exclusive use of the lakelands timeshare pool and spa.

After arrival call at the office 50 yards from lingmell for access,from january 2018 there is an extra charge per week for use of the pool -£35per apartment per week,or £5 per day minimum of 3 days. This is payable in cash on arrival at the office,there is also a £20 deposit to pay for the entry phob so please have cash ready!

Warm tots pool adjacent to the main pool,and a good sized jacuuzi.Comfortable seating area by the poolside if you want to bring the kids and avoid a dip .Swedish style sauna and steam room is available in the facility ,guests purchase a token from the office for this.Large towels are usually on offer for no extra charge at the poolside.When you leave lingmell return your phob and get deposit back!

The pool does not have a lifeguard so young people should not attend on there own please! POOL OPENING TIMES.

7am -11.30am /1pm- 9pm.. RECEPTION ..Mon -Thurs 9-5pm. / Sat 9am -6pm /Sun 10am -3pm.

PARKING

Plenty of private parking almost by the front door / 2 spaces in the garage and enough room for a small car in front , shared sloping driveway takes a bit.of getting used to in car .

Ambleside is in the heart of the English Lake District so there are many attractions in the local area.My dad worked at Windscale UKAE and used to drive through Ambleside on way up there from Warrington.When he retired he bought Lingmell as he loved the lakes and we decided to keep it in the family.

What makes this house unique

Ambleside is a 1 min. walk away yet this is a quiet private location. Amazing views from the wide balcony. Large detached house with gardens. Waterhead and Lake Windermere are 5 min. level walk away. Heated indoor pool with Jacuzzi adjacent/also tots pool.Having a heated swimming facility virtually next door is so convenient.

Christmas in ambleside

We had a lovely time in Lingmell over christmas.

The house was heated for out arrival which was lovely as often rental propeties are cold when you first get there.

The house was very well equipped ,very clean and the rooms well set up.

Great location for ambleside and windermere.

there are nice leisure facilities but we didnt use these as we were out walking every day.

easy walks for Loughrigg, rydal water. scansdale from tthe house

A fabulous place to stay right in the heart of The Lake District and right in the heart of Ambleside

Enjoyed a wonderful two week stay at Garth's beautiful house. Spent many hours admiring the incredible views of the mountains from the balcony. What a treat to be able to look out at the view throughout the day and to watch the sunsets!! We could sketch and paint right there!! I would definitely recommend a two week stay here because there is just so much to see and do. The bonus is that the house is right above the main shops, so it is really easy to grab bits of shopping without having to travel all the way to Windermere. We also loved having the pool/spa right next door. We were in there most days and it was a major factor in our family booking the house. The house is very spacious,cosy and comfortable. We especially liked the log-burner effect stove in the lounge, and the beautiful bathrooms. I am sure we will be booking this house again next time we plan a trip to The Lakes.

Family Easter Holiday

As a family of five we needed somewhere that was well located close to local amenities, practical in terms of facilties and comfortable and Lingmell met all of these criteria and some! Lingmell is located right in the heart of Ambleside only a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants etc. and yet is wonderfully quiet. The house was spotlessly clean with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. We had everything on hand that we could need including a washer & dryer which is incredibly useful when holidaying with young children! We swam everyday at the leisure centre which was clean an quiet. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, Marie

Fabulous break in a great location

We found the house very clean,warm and tidy upon arrival with all the rooms nicely set up. Powerful refreshing modern shower areas provided a refreshing start to the day. Plenty of space to relax in bedrooms and lounge. Widescreen tv with sky was a bonus and the kids loved the Wi Fi. The adjacent pool/spa was a real bonus to relax in after long walks,the kids walked the few yards in pyjamas. We were able to park up at the house and hardly used the car as Ambeside centre is only a minute or so walk away.

The owner has upgraded the kitchen with new tiles and worktop since our last visit and replaced all the curtains in the house with easy use Hiliary's blinds.

All in all,we found Lingmell excellent value for money when compared to other holiday lets and we have already booked another week in the summer,

Would definately recommend.

Very nice property in the heart of Ambleside

Spacious, .clean, well maintained accommodation with excellent bathrooms. This was my second stay at Lingmell and I will certainly use it again. The property has been improved since my first visit with a superb en-suite to the master bedroom. The location is convenient for all Ambleside has to offer, be it cafes, bars and restaurants or the surrounding hills and lakes, whilst also offering peace, quiet and rest. There are walks of all levels directly from the house/town as well as spa and pool facilities on the doorstep. The owner is available 24/7 if needed and is very attentuve. He has plans for further improvements in the near future. I have stayed in Ambleside many times and rate Lingmell very highly.

Our changeover day is SATURDAY we rent lingmell on a weekly basis.FLEXIBLE SHORT BREAKS -Weekend /or Mid week are ONLY available in NOV/DEC/JAN/FEB/MARCH -but not in school holiday weeks.
Secure the property with a £100 deposit this is refunded at the end of the holiday
provided the keys are returned and the property must be left in a reasonably clean and satisfactory condition

The listed price is ALL INCLUSIVE -you have unlimited use of the pool and jacuuzi at the adjacent lakeland complex /and tots pool!
There are no charges for gas /water /electric bedding towels or parking.
The cot and high chair are also include and also the onsite laundry -washer and separate dryer!




Payment in full 8 weeks before the holiday start date.

Changeover Day:
Saturday -arrive after 4pm and depart before 10am on day of departure.

Guests can arrive a little earlier and park at lingmell before 4pm.

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
