ON SITE LEISURE CLUB

Guests to lingmell have exclusive use of the lakelands timeshare pool and spa.

After arrival call at the office 50 yards from lingmell and collect a phob for door entry to the pool spa.The office usually closes at 4 pm .From then on you have exclusive unlimited use of the facility from 7am to late evening.The pool shuts for an hour each lunchtime for maintenance.

Warm tots pool adjacent to the main pool,and a good sized jacuuzi.Comfortable seating area by the poolside if you want to bring the kids and avoid a dip .Swedish style sauna and steam room is available in the facility,guests purchase a token from the office for this.Large towels are usually on offer for no extra charge at the poolside.When you leave lingmell return your phob and get deposit back!

The pool does not have a lifeguard so young people should not attend on there own please!

Parking

Plenty of parking almost by the front door / 2 spaces in the garage and enough room for a small car in front , shared sloping driveway takes a bit.of getting used to in car .

Ambleside is in the heart of the English Lake District so there are many attractions in the local area.My dad worked at Windscale UKAE and used to drive through Ambleside on way up there from Warrington.When he retired he bought Lingmell as he loved the lakes and we decided to keep it in the family.

Ambleside is a 1 min. walk away yet this is a quiet private location. Amazing views from the wide balcony. Large detached house with gardens. Waterhead and Lake Windermere are 5 min. level walk away. Another lovely holiday

We have just returned from another lovely weeks holiday in Lingmell.It is a beautiful house, very clean, comfortable and welcoming with fantastic views. It is very well equipped with everything needed. ( even sky sports). The new bathroom and en suite are really nice. It is just a few minutes walk from shops, pubs and restaurants. There are lots of walks from the door, and the use of the swimming pool just a few yards away is a real bonus.

We have been coming here for many years and can never wait to return.

LINGMELL spacious property, great location

We have stayed at Lingmell for the last 14 years, it is like a second home to us now. A spacious, clean and comfortable house with recently updated luxury bathrooms. The Laundry room with washing machine and dryer is always an advantage if you encounter wet/muddy weather. In a fabulous location with stunning views from the balcony. Situated within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, cinema, supermarket, post office etc. So many scenic walks right on the doorstep. Use of the pool at Lakelands is a bonus. The owner is constantly refurbishing and updating the property and is very helpful and approachable if you have any queries.

Lovely Ambleside Property

This is our fourth stay in Lingmell. It is a very welcoming house with outstanding views of Ambleside from the upstairs lounge, bedroom and balcony. It is also ideally situated for all that Ambleside and the surrounding area has to offer. It now benefits from two newly refurbished high quality bathrooms. We really enjoyed use of the adjacent swimming pool. Lingmell's double garage has ample space for two cars, which is really important in Ambleside, where parking is at a premium. All in all an excellent property and I am sure that we will be back before too long!

Beautiful house, great location

I loved every bit of the house. Amazing, had everything you would need for a relaxing break. The children had the ground floor which meant we could relax in the evening on the balconey, views during the day are amazing and watching the views change due to the weather was lovely too. Plenty of room for everyone 3 kids, 2 adults and a golden retriever! Fabulous location 2 minute walk into the town and brilliant swimming facilities we took the kids everyday, again only a short walk. I can honestly say I will definately be booking again.

Nice Bathrooms, Rest of Property needs upgrading, Pool not as advertised

Great Location, but apart from the bathrooms this property is a bit old-fashioned/down at heel (especially the kitchen) and needs a makeover to justify the price tag for a week's accommodation

We got the impression that the pool was very close and for the exclusive use of this and maybe just one or two other properties, when in fact it's in a holiday complex of multiple properties about 70-100 yards up the road and can be used by many people if they so wish. As a consequence we didn't use the pool at all. For the sake of transparency I would suggest taking the bit about the pool off the advertisement (the clients have to pay for it separately anyway) and then let them know they can use a pool in a holiday complex next door if they wish once they've made the booking

Ambleside itself is a lovely place and I would recommend it as a base for a holiday in the Lakes. However, being English School Holidays it and the surrounding area were incredibly busy - the whole place is heaving in July and August. I didn't dare go for a bike ride on the surrounding roads as the traffic was awful. Also, July and August are some of the wettest months in this part of the world and we didn't have a day without rain. I think May/June or September would be better months to visit this area - maybe less busy and maybe better weather?

Our aim is to provide a comfortable home from home, where our guests, often walkers and cyclists and their occasional pets enjoy the informal, relaxing and comfortable atmoshere. We provide a comprehensive range of modern services including internet and sky tv package which our guests generally appreciate and we are continually upgrading. Just five months ago after completing the bathroom refurbishment and new CH/HW system,we redecorated and also upgraded the tv to 49'' HD and renewed the wi fi hub.We also replaced all bedding/pillows and towels .Twelve months ago we upgraded the kitchen with new worktop,sink,taps,hob,integrated fridge,freezer,spotlightinhg and dishwasher. In light of the above we are very disappointed and bewildered to read your comment, especially vis a vis reviews written by guests who immediately preceded and followed you this summer.? I am sorry that you got the impression that the pool was part of the property as you point out it is approximately 70 yards away but this is stated in the advert below the photo.The advert on home away also states that the visitors share use of the pool with the lakelands private club guests. Late evening and early morning are ideal for a quiet swim, also we have found it a good opportunity to meet other families .Such a pity that you didn't venture into the leisure club pool /spa as few people if any have ever commented about over crowding . Guests who make a payment for the pool to the lakelands are refunded directly by myself through bank transfer. May I also point out that many of our guests really appreciate and make full use of this excellent facility at the lakelands. Unfortunately it rained every day during your visit .Indeed it is advisable for cyclists to keep off the busy roads, however many do explore the low level pathways that surround this location. Thank you

Our changeover day is SATURDAY we rent lingmell on a weekly basis.FLEXIBLE SHORT BREAKS -Weekend /or Mid week are ONLY available in NOV/DEC/JAN/FEB/MARCH -but not in school holiday weeks.
Secure the property with a £100 deposit this is refunded at the end of the holiday
provided the keys are returned and the property must be left in a reasonably clean and satisfactory condition

The listed price is ALL INCLUSIVE -you have unlimited use of the pool and jacuuzi at the adjacent lakeland complex /and tots pool!
There are no charges for gas /water /electric bedding towels or parking.
The cot and high chair are also include and also the onsite laundry -washer and separate dryer!




Payment in full 8 weeks before the holiday start date.

Changeover Day:
Saturday -arrive after 4pm and depart before 10am on day of departure.

Guests can arrive a little earlier and park at lingmell before 4pm.
