This "Attractive and Homely Bungalow is West facing and in a quiet side street close to all amenities. A short stroll from Banks, Supermarkets, Cafes, Restaurants and Bars, also the Doctors, Farmacia, Tourist Information and Police/Ambulance station. There is a second similar shopping complex in the opposite direction 10 to 15 minutes stroll away.

A modern pool complex with separate adult and children's pools is a 5 minute stroll away. The gardens front and back are a nice place to relax and are well maintained.

Urbanization La Marina is perfect for exploring the Cost Blanca coastline and inland towns and villages. The Local towns Of Santa Pola and Guardamar with their promenades and shopping centres are just fifteen minute drive away both towns have markets 2 days a week. La Marina has a market on a Thursday and Sunday and is a walk away, also another Market on the out of town Shopping Complex on a Saturday morning where there is a Mercadonna, Lidl, Iceland, and a variety of other shops and Restaurant/bars.

Both owners Stan Ellmore and Alan Gridley live on the North Essex Coast and have done so for 29 years, and have spent the last 17 years holidaying in La Marina and have made many friends along the way and thoroughly enjoy the peace tranquility and laid back life style of the area.

Super clean and tidy.

My wife and I have just returned from our stay. And, I must say it was the cleanest ,freshest property that I have stayed in on the urb. It was in a perfect location for us. It is on the flat which is a bonus when walking around. Close to shops, swimming pools, bars etc. The only discussion we are having is not are we going back to Stans place. Is sorting out the date to go. Thank you very much.

Relaxing Holiday

Just spent a relaxing week at this bungalow with friends.

The accommodation was spotless and spacious.

Close to shops restaurants and bars .

its also a peaceful area which is what attracted us to it.

There is a supermarket a few minutes from the property,

and 3 supermarkets about 7 min drive away(one of which was Iceland's)

We used a couple of restaurants one of which was the Lounge Bar , we had sunday lunch there before we departed and it was lovely and the staff were friendly .

Stan was really helpful and it was easy to book , also he recommended a car hire company for us to use which we

did with no hassle .

Will definitely be booking again

Highly recommend this property.

Amazing

Booking with Stan was so easy. Stan was so helpful. We have a two year old and the house was so child friendly. As soon as we got settled the house felt like home. It is close to several supermarkets, chemists and restaurants. If you want to use the beach or visit Guadamar there is a bus but hiring a car is much easier, faster and better.

The house is light, cool and airy. The weather was very hot while we stayed but for the first time ever in La Marina we never needed air conditioning (we have stayed in La Marina three times previously). You will not be disappointed with your stay it was brilliant and we look forward to booking with Stan next year.

Location

From the Owner

We chose this house originally because it had that feeling you get when you are at home and comfortable. Only to realize later, how convenient and well situated the property is for all we need. It is on the flat, for when we get older. It is so easily positioned for all the main needs in life. We just love it here.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : ALICANTE at 22 Kilometres Nearest Train : ALICANTE at 25 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : N332 at 3 Kilometres Nearest Beach : LA MARINA BEACH at 5 Kilometres

Coast/Beach:

The Clean Blue flag beach can be accessed in 7/10 minutes by car. Where there is free parking "at this moment in time" and a very good "Beach-side Restaurant". Serving fresh caught fish as well as a full range of other foods. There is also a seasonal beach bar In high season.The main beach is manned by Lifeguards, also in the high season. Walk along a while and you can have the beach and the dunes to yourselves. Also you can try the beach at Playa Pinet which also has a Beachside Bar with food.

A Local bus to the beach is nearby and available in PEAK SEASON only. Buses from the same stop go to places

which include Alicante, Elche and Guardamar.

It is only advised that you ONLY walk to the beach if you are very fit, it is uphill all the way back!!.

La Marina Beach also has a naturist section, some distance to the right of the public family area and bars.

Travel:

Alicante Airport is a 25 min drive away, and Murcia is approx 55 min drive. Car hire is recommended for you to thoroughly enjoy your stay in La Marina, though not essential as there are taxis. La Marina is an easy Urbanisation to explore on foot, there are bus services to local towns, also local coach company trips pick up from around the corner. The long distance busses depart from the Old Village of La Marina, which is half way to the beach.

Further Details:

La Marina has it’s own Market on a Thursday and Sunday within easy walking distance. There is now a Market on Saturday mornings, at the Iceland Lidl and Mercadonna complex, and I must say that it has become more popular than the other two markets, the range of fruits and vegetables are excellent, especially if you self cater. Almoradi Market is also on a Saturday and has over 500 stalls and is a 15 minute drive away. Santa Pola Markets on Tuesday and Saturday, Guardamar Street Market on Wednesday, and ‘ZOCO’ market on a Sunday is about 20 mins drive away and is also excellent. All markets have a variety of stalls both traditional and modern, also fresh vegetables and fruit. You will also find plenty of drink and food stalls available, a lovely Spanish one at the Saturday market makes her own Paella and it was very popular today. The Markets are always a worth a trip when you visit La Marina.

Changeover Day:
There is no specific changeover day. . On departure day we ask that you vacate by 11am. Access to the property on arrival is between 3pm - 8pm. HOWEVER, WE CAN SOMETIMES BE MORE FLEXIBLE ON TIMES DEPENDING ON BOOKINGS.(Please ask when making a booking)

Notes on prices:
Prices for HOLIDAY RENTAL of the property per week/month in GBP (UK STERLING) to be paid 6 weeks prior to departure into a UK (GBP) or SPANISH (EURO) Please check the current exchange rates with the owner before paying in Euros .
There is a charge of E50 euros weekly for air/con in summer and for winter heating.

The property is 5 minutes walk from 2 supermarkets (SuperValu and International) the Farmacia is 2 minutes away.The Sports Complex includes Bowls, a nice large "Swimming Pool" separate pool for the kids comfy sunbeds and umbrellas and a daytime pool bar/café/restaurant(Brilliant Full English Breakfast too) The main Restaurant in the complex has a good varied menu and "Menu del Dia" with evening entertainment most nights. Along the road a little the is the Bank and a good variety of other shops bars and restaurants a, better than home, Fish and Chip shop called "Our Plaice" also a Vet practice. Plus the fact that the area is so relaxing and most of all normally has brilliant weather. In our opinion the best beaches in the area are a 5/10 minute drive away and are backed by just "Sand Dunes and Pine Forest" The ideal spot for a peaceful holiday. But, There is plenty of entertainment if you want it, truly! There is the Consum complex 3 mins drive away 20 minutes stroll. Giving an even bigger choice. There is also the "Grey Area" situated almost a mile down the Main Strip. I like this area myself as It has variety and plenty to choose from, that is for sure!
