Self contained and fully equipped, Casa Pau is a separate part of the owners property situated on the level plains of La Galera in Southern Catalonia that stretch from the Montsia hills to Els Ports mountains, in an acre of its own land, surrounded by olive groves and citric fruits, with views to both the Montsia hills and Els Ports mountains from the property. In a peaceful setting but not remote, with easy access to the mountains, towns, beaches and the Ebro river on good roads. Registered with the official tourist establishments guide of the Generalitat de Catalunya with registered number HUTTE - 000367 - 77 and a 3-keys grading.

Lovely rural setting near village of La Galera and within about 20mins of both coast and mountains on good roads. Easy access to house from trunk road.

Good train services to Barcelona and Valencia from Tortosa or L'Aldea (20 mins away).

Exclusive use of the pool for the length of your stay - there are no other holiday units on the property.

What makes this apartment unique

Peace and quiet and open spaces. About an acre of level land around the house.

The immediate area is full of olive groves and mandarin, orange and peach orchards.

On signposted walking/cycling route. We have two bicycles available for visitors to use and additional or electrically powered cycles can be hired from a cycle shop in the next town.

Home grown vegetables and fruit as available.

Notes on accommodation: Outside: Large terrace all around the property with seating and tables, garden to the front and our own fields beyond that and to the side. Pool and sun terrace shared only with the owners. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included. Property is cleaned and linen changed before every visitor and weekly if the stay is longer than one week.

Very Peaceful

The property is situated in a rural area, its very peaceful. The nearby village is just a 10 min walk. The property was very clean, Jean and Julie, the owners, live next door and always were very helpful. We think this place is ideal for a relaxed getaway, though hot in the summer its not as hot as further south. We all enjoyed the pool, included our small dog. We explored the nearest coastal towns such as San Carlos de La Rapita, and places like the river Ebro's Delta, where it meets the sea, the nice rice plantations and beaches there are worth seeing, also there is a beautiful lake/dam in the nearby mountains. This is one of the few places we have stayed at that we definitely would want to visit again if we wanted to truly relax and for the natural beauty around.

Great host

Jean and Julie were very hospitable. We were staying with two dogs who were welcome to use the pool which made their stay fun.

One of our dog was sick and Julie/Jean helped us to find a local traveling vet and helped with the translation. They were very good with us and our dogs. We would strongly recommend the Casa Pau.

Very enjoyable stay

Very clean, comfortable, roomy accommodation in a tranquil, rural location yet within easy reach easy of the coastal motorway.

The two friendly, helpful lady owners, Jean and Julie, who live next door were keen to help make our stay a very enjoyable one. They were willing to share their knowledge of the multitude of local summer fiestas and other events, activities, best restaurants, etc. What they didn't know they were willing and able to find out. When we preferred to do our own thing they were happy to respect our privacy.

The view of the night sky from the grounds was amazing! In fact it was so good I wrote a report about it which Jean and Julie kindly placed on their web site.

Casa Pau is highly recommended.
