A choice of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Woodlands self catering holiday apartments are set in a beautiful bay windowed, stone faced, gable fronted, Victorian villa; typical of graceful Lytham St Annes. All apartments offer lofty well proportioned rooms. Our regular guests appreciate the peacefulness of Beach Road - close to amenities yet away from the traffic noise. We are only 220 yd from the promenade and beach, 50 yards from Ashton Gardens and a 5 minute walk through Ashton Gardens to St Annes Square and the main shopping area. For those wishing to visit Blackpool yet stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle, we are only a short bus ride away.

Well equipped and clean, the beds were comfortable and the property is in a good location. Peter was very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay there. The only problem was the chairs and settee were very uncomfortable, may be new ones are needed, but I would recommend Woodlands to family and friends.

Comfortable, peaceful and relaxed accommodation

Unfortunately I never had the chance to meet the owner, but however he was very efficient in providing me information regarding the property of which he e-mailed to myself. The accommodation has a lovely peaceful atmosphere, is spacious, relaxed and is perfect for un-winding after a day out. The kitchen provides well with plates, bowls and cutlery as well as a toaster, microwave and cooker. The lounge has a nice view in looking out and is comfortable in relaxing and having meals in, if you prefer to eat in instead of going out somewhere. The bedrooms are of a good size and in particular the master bedroom of which has a big double and single bed. I slept in the double bed and provided a good night's sleep and what was also impressive that provides good security for your valuable possessions, is a coded safe of which can give peace of mind that they will be kept secure. The only down side was the electrical coin meter, of which no mention of this was given on the website and neither on the information that was provided to me from the owner. Not being aware of that, I had to walk to Lytham Pier in order to get change of £1.00 coins. I loved sitting out on Lytham Pier with the sea breeze and lovely warm weather and sunny sky of which was very calm, soothing and peaceful, as was walking and sitting within Ashton Gardens of which is filled with such beauty and tranquillity. I enjoyed taking in a movie at the Cinema, loved the freedom of an evening walk on the beach and had a lovely meal at the Lord Derby Pub. The food is of the highest quality, relaxed atmosphere and the staff are friendly and do go out of their way, in making sure that you enjoy your meal. I would highly recommend coming here! For shopping there is Aldi, Sainsburys, Tesco and Marks and Spencer of which are closely located to the accommodation. In the apartment I stayed in I think it's ideal for families and friends and overall I had a fantastic and memorable stay in Lytham St Anne's and I very much hope to return next year.

What A Lovely Holiday

It's the first time we have used the Woodlands, and it certainly won't be the last. From the friendly owner, to the cleanliness of the flat, everything was perfect. Everything was as advertised, except there were more things than advertised. The free safe was an excellent idea, and the hairdryer a great boom. Well equiped, spotless what more can you say - thank you Peter for a perfect holiday.

Fantastic place

This was our first ever stay in Lytham St Anne's and we picked the best place to stay. Myself and my wife went with our 6 month old and it was more than adequate for all our needs. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Peter who was very welcoming and the flat is like home from home with a beautiful new kitchen and Bathroom. Peter was able to supply a high chair which was very helpful. This is a very quiet location and 5 mins walk from town centre and 10 mins walk from beach and pier.There is also free parking outside property. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Holiday Apartment

We have stayed at Woodlands Apartment 1 a number of times over the years and always enjoyed our stay in it. The recently refurbished bathroom and kitchen are superb with both of them being completed in a modern and stylish way. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering holidays and the bedrooms are comfortable making this flat a real home from home. Beyond the clean and comfortable accommodation the location is very convenient for accessing the beach, shops and transport links so all in all it has everything we are looking for in a holiday flat in the St Anne’s area.

Great location, next to park and only a short walk from prom, beach and shops. Flat has a good size lounge/kitchen which is generally clean and well equipped. Main bedroom is a very good size with a double and single bed. Second bedroom is small, with a compact double bed. Bathroom is a bit dated, but functional.

  • We are almost next door to Ashton Gardens with it's duck pond and childrens play area. The promenade and beach are at the end of the street. A short walk through the park takes you to the town centre with a wide choice of bars and restaurants There is a Sainsbury's, a M&S Food and an Aldi all within walking distance.
