The Marina Park is near the leisure marina in the town of Lagos in the western Algarve. It is a beautiful part of Portugal and there are many amenities close by. The airport at Faro is only a 40 minute drive thanks to the new motorway. There are many amenities available locally such as sailing, horse riding, golf courses, fabulous restaurants, the beautiful Meia Praia sandy beach that stretches for miles and a very large shopping centre near Albufeira. There is also a zoo and a new water activity park in Lagos itself. Nearest Airport : Faro at 75 Kilometres Nearest Train : Lagos at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : beach at 1 Kilometres.

Why Brendan Flanagan chose Lagos

We purchased the property new in 2006 and love Marina Park because of the fantastic facilities.

There are some beautiful beaches and the marina boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Faro airport less than an hours drive away.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is just 10 minutes walk from the fabulous Meia Praia beach & 5 minutes to the marina.

"Fab apartment and complex"



Would highly recommend the apartment was immaculate and loads of space. We were there with 2 busy toddlers and they loved it, the pool and facilities were great. The complex itself is very well kept and a 10 minute walk to the marina and town were you will find the most amazing little restaurants. Will definitely be back.

"Excellent size apartment & well kept."



We enjoyed our stay at marina park, this apartment is larger that most and was very clean. It is well kitted out and near the pool.

I will definitely use again if I good back to Lagos.

Special interest holidays:

Lagos Zoo is well worth a visit with the children. A few Km outside Lagos there are 2 large water parks easily accessible by car or bookable as an excursion.

The town of Portimao 16km approx offers a chance for major shopping with hypermarkets catering for all. Further west from Lagos is the famous Worlds End where famous Portuguese explorers set off to discover new lands.

Coast/Beach:

Meia- Praia a 5 km blue flag beach is only a 10 min walk away. There are restaurants on the beach and sunbeds for hire.

Some of the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve are close to Lagos, like Praia de Dona Ana, which can be reached after a 25 minutes walk from the center of the town and Praia do Camilo, a bit further on. Many other secluded small beaches lie around the town of Lagos.

Travel:

Faro airport is 75 kilometers away.

Train station is 1 kilometer from apartment with services from Faro.

You can hire a car, from many car hire companies at the airport.

Shuttle buses run from the airport to the resort.

Car hire is not essential as all facilities are within reasonable walking distance in Lagos. Taxis are plentiful, reliable and reasonable priced around the area.

Just a short stroll down the hill you reach the marina, where you will find restaurants bars and bistros all set around the tranquil marina, or you could walk across the bridge into Lagos exploring the old town with all its history, or sip a cup of coffee outside at one of the many bars and cafes just letting the world go by.

Lagos has many beautiful churches which are open to visit. There are many buildings with interesting architecture, including the ancient city walls.

Outside: The apartment is situated in a lovely position which captures the morning sun and has a large Pool view terrace, complete with dining facilities for six persons. The grounds are set in very well maintained attractive gardens with tree lined paths. There are footpaths to the pools and leisure facilities which are a 1-2 minute walk from the apartment. There is electronic entry to a magnificent very large private communal pool with children’s pool. There are complimentary sun loungers available together with a poolside restaurant/cafe. Tennis courts and a small children’s park are in the grounds. Sun loungers and sun shades are available complimentary. Outside of the complex is a small mini-market open 7 days a week. There is also a Larger supermarket 2 min drive from complex. Entire area very suitable for families. Apartment blocks are set back from leisure area making the area feel very open and pleasant. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment will be serviced before you arrive and when you leave. All bed linen and towels (not beach towels) are provided. Other: Balcony with table/chairs also has storage space for beach equipment.

Wonderful large apartment close to Lagos marina

We have been to Lagos before so we knew when we chose the apartment how close to all the well placed amenities were. On arrival we were not disappointed - the apartment was huge with a massive balcony overlooking the beautiful hills and mountains in Lagos. The apartment was everything we expected and more - so comfortable with every need catered for. Brendan has been so helpful and easy to communicate with, thank you.

Beds were comfortable and bathrooms for each bedroom were excellent - the apartment was a ten minute walk from everything - the supermarket, beach , town restaurants and marina. The onsite facilities were excellent also and the staff so helpful and kind. We loved every aspect however it got very busy at weekends and the pool crammed - so we opted for the beach which was perfection itself. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to anyone it was clean and well equipped - but homely and became our home for two weeks !

The boat trips are a must the caves are amazing - thank you for such an enjoyable holiday we will be back ! Debbie Hexham

Bom apartamento de férias.

Casa muito agradável, podia no entanto estar mais bem equipada.

Falta uma mesa de refeição no belo terraço e falta equipamento de cozinha, nomeadamente toalhas e individuais e varinha mágica, por exemplo.

Boa localização, boa piscina do condomínio, com garagem.

A internet é muito boa, camas confortáveis, tv cabo e a casa de banho da suíte foi remodelada há pouco tempo.

Com estas faltas de equipamento corrigidas, seria um apartamento de férias perfeito.
