About the Owner

I am Cornish, always having lived somewhere on or near the Roseland Peninsula, it's a beautiful part of the world and I feel very proud to live here. I have owned the cottage for nearly three years and have taken pleasure in preparing it for holiday use. I'm hoping that you will find it a lovely place to stay.

Lovely cottage, warm welcome

  • 4 of 5

Really pretty character cottage with lots of unusual features and everything you need for a break. Great location to access the far south west (we went to Falmouth, Truro, Porthcurno, Lands End and Helston: all less than 1hr away) but also set in a lovely quiet village with a shop, some great walks and a small enclosed children's play area just up the road.

Very warm welcome from the owner, with great communication in advance of our visit, a cream tea on arrival and swift response to a query during our stay. Could not have asked for better service!

The facilities were excellent: easily the best equipped kitchen we have ever had in a holiday cottage, comfy beds and a nice big telly for the evenings! We played in the garden and ate dinner on the deck in the sunshine, brilliant!

The only improvements we could suggest would be to make it a little more child friendly: the upstairs windows on the gorgeous window seats shut but don't lock (we have a small adventurous boy so we put our l) and there are some very delicate ornaments (but we just moved them out of reach of curious little fingers). NB for parents of little ones: As you would expect in a cottage this age there are relatively steep stairs with a handrail on one side, and a curtain on the other, so small careless children need to be supervised on the stairs.

Such a quaint cottage with everything you would need in it to make it a home from home

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we opened the door we felt at home. There was everything provided as we would have in our own home including baking if we needed to. What a lovely surprise to find in the fridge a pint of milk and a cream tea for us all. Its these little touches that made it so special. The beds were comfortable and adequate bedding and towels provided too. Thank you for making this an enjoyable and welcoming home to stay in.

Lovely Cornish Cottage

  • 5 of 5

A gorgeous Cornish cottage which felt like home from home. It's always nice to arrive at a holiday property and find if 'as advertised' but this was more than that! The facilities in the kitchen, the lovely decor and roomy bedrooms were just what we wanted to visit family in Falmouth. A great location to visit all corners of Cornwall.

Fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

We arrived to find scones, jam and clotted cream waiting for us which I must say was a welcome site after a 6 and a half hour journey. The cottage was perfect, well equipped, comfortable and homely exactly what we wanted. It has been a few years since we have been to Cornwall and was delighted to find this cottage available for our required dates. We will definitely be booking again next year if possible.

Home from Home

  • 5 of 5

This was my second visit and as such I felt even more at home. The cottage has a lovely atmosphere and is welcoming and cosy to come back to at the end of the day. I have used it as a base when visiting my family in Truro and it has been ideal for giving me some down time in my own space. It is very well equipped with a superbly comfortable king size bed. It's a home from home in a tranquil setting.
