About the property

Perfect for relaxing, and close to beach, supermarket, restaurants and bars

Located in little Pueblo Jerez, on the eastern side of Nerja, this villa is very spacious and offers peaceful and relaxing accommodation while being close to all the necessary amenities, making for a carefree holiday.

There is a large, very well stocked supermarket, just 2 minutes walk away, that includes a bakery and fish counter, and has excellent fresh produce. It also has a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. It is just a 5 minute walk to the tennis and padel club where there is daily Happy Hour, and a good and reasonably priced menu.

Hotel Los Arcos is also very close, with a daily Happy Hour, and excellent restaurant.

Our agent is British and lives close by, if any urgent problems occur during your stay.

There is lots of outside space for relaxing, including balconies to both ensuite bedrooms, two terraces from the open plan living area, private walled gardens and pool area.

There is parking available immediately outside the property, in the road.

The entrance is via a lockable gate, and the front door is on the same level. It opens straight into the open plan living area which is very light and spacious, with comfortable settees, dining table and chairs, flat screen television (cable, including UK terrestrial channels). WIFI available. Two sets of sliding doors open onto two terraces, one of which has views over a lush green valley that runs down towards to the sea. There is terrace furniture for al fresco dining, and relaxing.

From the side terrace, steps lead down to the pool and gardens.

The open plan kitchen is very well equipped.

Stairs lead up to the light and spacious landing, and there are two ensuite bedrooms. The double bedded room had a large terrace with seating, that overlooks the pool, with views to the valley and down to the sea, and to the side, the Almijara mountains (natural park) may be seen. The bed is king size, and there are large mirrored wardrobes with plenty of hanging space.

There is a safe for storage of valuables. Hairdryer available.

The ensuite bathroom includes toilet, bidet, bath with overhead shower, large vanitory unit with lit mirror above, plenty of storage for toiletries.

The second bedroom has two single beds, and large mirrored wardrobes with plenty of hanging space. There is a balcony that is completely enclosed with railings, making it very safe for children. It overlooks the front garden, and has views to the Almijara mountains.

The ensuite bathroom includes toilet, shower cubicle with overhead shower, large vanitory unit with lit mirror above, and plenty of storage space for toiletries.

The open plan living area, and both bedrooms have air conditioning, and these units are heaters during the cooler months.

Outside, there is a pretty front garden with lawned area and flower borders. Wide steps (19) to the side of the villa, lead down to further gardens and the pool. There are olive, lemon and orange trees.

(Oranges are usually ripe and ready for picking November-March)

The pool is very attractive, being kidney shaped and lined with sapphire blue tiles. It measures approximately 10 metres in length, and 5 metres at the widest point, so a good swim can be had. The shallow end is approximately 1 metre deep, and the deep end is approximately 2 metres deep. It is surrounded by astroturf which is very soft underfoot, and completely nonslip, making it very safe for both little and big feet. There is a poolside shower. Life ring available. There are sun loungers, large sun parasol, table and chairs, around the pool.

The pool area receives sun throughout the day, and early evening.

There is garden and poolside lighting, which make it very pleasant and attractive for balmy summer evenings.

Hola, I live on the south coast of England with my husband, Gareth, and our cat, Molly. As our work and family commitments allow, we are beginning to spend more time at the villa, especially during the winter months, and we are very fortunate to be able to go between our two homes.

In England, I enjoy socialising with friends, keeping fit with cycling, walking, running along the sea front, swimming and going to the gym, plus carbooting, and in Nerja, its more of the same, and I love the Spanish culture and flamenco - it's all so vibrant and exciting.

Why Jane Hearn chose Nerja

We have been coming to Nerja since about 1990, and always made a point of seeing what properties were for sale, but none ticked all our boxes until we found this villa. They say that location is 'key', and we consider our place to be perfectly located. It overlooks a green valley that is very peaceful, and encourages birds, that are wonderful to watch and listen to. Burriana beach is just a short walk away, as is the supermarket, and one of our favourite restaurants is just at the top of the road. The centre of Nerja is an easy walk, and if using a car to explore further afield, the motorway is close by, and easily accessible.

What makes this villa unique

Our villa is very spacious for a two bedroom property, so light and airy, and well laid out, with both bedrooms being ensuite. The open plan living area and kitchen work well for us when entertaining, and it's lovely to have all the balconies and terraces - sometimes it's hard to choose where to sit! Each has it's own interesting view. And then there's the pool and gardens.....

the pool is a good size and being kidney shaped, you can just swim round and round. Maybe not feeling energetic? It's perfect for a quick dip to cool off, or a longer float around.

The Orange tree produces the most amazing fruits, usually ripe around November time.

All in all, this is our ideal home.......

Outstanding Villa

The villa is immaculate, with everything you could possibly need. Exceptionally clean and with all mod cons. The pool area is fantastic, and the air con is first class. The villa is located within a quiet residential area, one minutes walk from a large supermarket, and with a few eating/drinking spots nearby. It's a 15 minute walk downhill to the beach, and 25 minutes walk down into the centre of Nerja. We would suggest taxis back from both, especially during August, as its hard work walking back during the hottest periods. The taxi from town to the villa was 7€. Overall we had a fantastic time. Nerja is a lovely traditional spanish town, and the villa is first class. We would have no hesitation recommending the villa to friends, and we will book it again in the future. One word of warning. The door lock is a Yale lock, and therefore it's very easy to lock the keys inside unless all of your party are aware of this! We did this on our first day, and after contacting the owners, Jane and Gareth, they resolved our mini-crisis within 30 minutes. They were both extremely helpful throughout the booking process, and quickly responded when we needed urgent assistance. Thank you to both of you.

Peaceful and perfect

Our first experience of a villa holiday and we found it perfect for our week long stay in June.

The villa was spotlessly clean and comfortable and felt more than spacious enough for the 4 of us.

There`s a very well equipped kitchen, and with a supermarket literally round the corner for all your fresh supplies (and a cheeky bottle or two of gin!), we prepared and enjoyed many lazy lunches out on the large terrace area.

The pool area is lovely and well maintained, with sun loungers, chairs and parasol, plus a magnificent orange tree providing a shaded area.

We`d hired a car for our stay and made trips to Frigiliana, Granada and the Alhambra and were able to park right outside the villa.

We found numerous restaurants withing walking distance and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely villa, great location

We stayed here the first 2 weeks of July and really enjoyed our time in the villa. The space was great and it is definitely the best equipped villa we've stayed in. Loved the balconies which caught the sun most of the day and the pool was well used by all of us to cool down! Location great-huge supermarket across the road which made eating in a doddle and about a 10 minute walk down to Burriana beach where there are shops, bars and restaurants (would recommend the Burriana Steak House). The centre of Nerja itself is perhaps a 20/25 min stroll away. We enjoyed having the best of both worlds - peace in the villa but hustle and bustle when we wanted it. We didn't hire a car but it's an easy walk to the Nerja Caves and we also got a bus to the Aquavelis Water Park in Torre del Mar which our 8 year old (and us!) really enjoyed. All in all, would recommend this lovely villa as a great place to stay in Nerja.

Lovely villa for a holiday in the sun

Nice comfortable villa in a quiet part of town. The pool area is fantastic. Bit of a walk back from town but it's not too bad. Our only mistake was choosing Record Go car rental - it is cheaper than the others for a reason!

The Villa had everything we needed for a perfect holiday . Lovely and clean and it is well maintained.

Lovely views from the Balcony . In a quiet area. A short walk to Main town, but not far from bars and restaurants.

Great sized pool complete with sun beds and sunshade for chilling out.

Would definetly recommend for a families and for adults only.

The Blue Flag Burriana Beach is 10-15 min walk via small streets with plenty to see on the way.

Burriana is the largest of Nerja's beaches & is backed by sandstone cliffs at its ends. Behind the central part of the beach are restaurants & bars, offering fish & paella just off the sand. The other beaches of Nerja to the west are smaller and are mostly edged by cliffs & are very picturesque. The 'balcon' of Nerja town juts into the sea & provides spectacular views of the coastline to the east.


Malaga airport is approximately 1 hour drive from Nerja. Alternatively, a bus or train can be caught from the airport to Malaga bus station where there is a frequent bus service to Nerja and the caves. The total journey by public transport can take up to 2.5 hours, depending upon timings. A taxi from the airport to Nerja costs about 70E. Car hire is not essential though will allow you to explore the whitewashed villages nestling in the mountains immediately inland, more easily.


Nerja town with its famous 'Balcon de Europa' is approx 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk away.

Malaga town is approximately 45 minutes by car or 90 minutes by bus and has many attractions.

Granada and its Alhambra Palace is 1.5-2 hours drive while the coastal hill town of Salobrena with its ancient castle and museum is approx 1 hour drive.

The whitewashed award-winning mountain village of Frigiliana is approx 20 minutes by car or can be accessed by local bus service.

Nerja is located very close to Natural Parks with their established walks through lush valleys, gorges & rural scenery. There is a horse-riding centre west of Nerja with excursions to the Almijara mountains. Other pursuits include include hiking, caving, mountain biking, kayaking & canyoning. Scuba diving can be organised from Burriana Beach. The famous caves at Maro are among the most popular of Spain's natural attractions. There are facilities in Nerja that offer Spanish language & Flamenco dance classes & several bars provide live Spanish guitar music & dancing. Nerja town is 5 mins by car. There are restaurants & hotels within 3-5 minutes walk from the villa that provide evening entertainment for non-residents, including weekly flamenco shows. Tennis courts & paddle are about 5 minutes walk away. The nearest banks are in Nerja town & there are money-changing & cash-point facilities in the local hotels & at Burriana Beach. The nearest supermarket is about five minutes walk away. WiFi is available at the hotel on the main road 3 minutes walk away & there are several sports bars within walking distance. There are weekly markets & car boot sales (Tuesdays & Sundays respectively) & a public swimming pool close to the supermarket, again within walking distance. Day trips can be organised to Malaga, Marbella, Gibraltar, Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Almeria & the Alpujarras. There is an aquapark at Torre del Mar, just along the coast to the west, & the coves to the east of Maro accessed via the old road offer secluded beaches. There is also plenty of local historical interest, including the now disused sugar factory & the Roman aquaduct between Nerja & Maro. The picturesque 17C church of El Salvador located in the square off the Balcon is popular for weddings, for both Spanish &, more recently, foreign couples.

For animal-lovers the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary is on the western side of the town, housing not just donkeys, and has an entrance fee of a bag of carrots.

Changeover Day:
