Detached Villa With Private Pool Overlooking Vineyard

Overview

Property

Updated: 01-Dec-2016
Villa in Bouzigues, Near Pezenas and Montpellier, Herault, Languedoc-Roussillon, France - Peaceful Village Location With Only 2 Min Walk To Amenities, Beach And Fishing Port

Our home is situated in a pretty, truly unspoilt French fishing village with a 2min walking distance to shops, the ice cream parlour and more than 15 reasonably priced restaurants which specialize in seafood. The house is detached with a lovely bbq and bar and is fully equipped to a high standard and offers plenty of shade. There are numerous terraces and olive trees and the property overlooks a vineyard and it is a few minutes walk to a small beach with larger Mediterranean beaches only 20 min away. The weather is glorious with 300 days of sun per year and the region is particularly famous for its seafood, wine and is only 2/ 3hours from Spain. Locally there is an all year round Spa at Balaruc les bains and there are typical French markets in Pezenas and Meze, vineyards, historical sites, cultural events throughout the year, fishing, walks and a 10 mile cycle path.

Delightful Villa in a Delightful location

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from another 7 days (our 3rd visit) at this delightful Villa in the delightful village of Bouzigues.

The Villa is all you could ask for, clean, spacious, well maintained and beautifully appointed. The weather was great, with clear blue skies and temperatures in the high 20’s, even in late September.

Being so close to Montpellier and the airport, you can be sitting by the pool less than two and a half hours after leaving Gatwick.

There is nothing nicer than sitting on the veranda watching the sun set over the church, whilst dining on freshly barbequed prawns, crusty french bread and a bottle of local wine.

We love the whole area and will no doubt be back again soon. Thoroughly recommended

Fantastic 2 weeks in Bouzigue

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the villa, a fantastic house, facilities and of course the pool. It is a great location from which to explore the region, taste the oysters and to soak up some sun on the beaches. Bouzigues is a great little village and the ice cream parlor is a must in the evening as are the various restaurants.

The house was well maintained and clean on arrival and Pascale at the management company was friendly and welcoming, the bottle of rose as a welcome gift was particularly refreshing after our long drive.

The region has much to see and a visit to Pezanas is a must, we spent some time at the beach in Sete and found the beach club La Orla pretty good value with an excellent lunch available whilst getting out of the sun for a couple of hours.

This is our second stay at the villa which wont be our last.

Amazing villa, great location

  • 5 of 5

The villa was perfect for our holiday. There was a beautiful pool which was very private, a terrace overlooking the vineyards and a great seating area ideal for cocktails! The bedrooms were big and overall the villa was very spacious. The location was great as we walked to the beach in the afternoon which took 2 minutes and in the evening we enjoyed the local restaurants. The villa is ideal for families or couples looking for a relaxing escape.

Amazing villa, great location

  • 5 of 5

The villa was perfect for our relaxing holiday. There was a beautiful pool which was very private, a terrace with views overlooking the vineyards, and also a great seating area which was ideal for cocktails! The bedrooms were a great size and overall the villa was very spacious. We often walked to the beach in the afternoon which was 2 minutes from the villa and in the evening we enjoyed the local restaurants. I would highly recommend this villa for families or a couple looking for a relaxing escape.

Beautiful villa, restaurants/bakery nearby

  • 5 of 5

This delightful villa, accurately depicted in the photographs, was everything we wanted. 5 of us stayed for a week (4 adults, one 14 year old), and we thoroughly enjoyed just being around the pool on the lazy days. Montpellier was our favourite day out, but Pezenas was also worth a visit, and the market at Sete. The bakery just around the corner was charming and sold a variety of bakery items as well as bread, having so many restaurants in walking distance made it so easy to go out in the evenings (although with the oyster beds in the bay, the emphasis is very much on fish rather than meat), and the glacerie got our custom most evenings. Wish we could have stayed longer, we had a wonderful time thank you.

Location

From the Owner

We bought the villa because we fell in love with Bouzigues as it is an authentic French fishing village still producing oysters as it did 100 years ago. There is a real French feel to the area and the village itself but it offers the convenience of many restaurants, local vineyards, ice cream parlour and safe sandy beach. The village shops and restaurants are only 2mins walk away. There are local markets in Meze, Agde Pezenas and Sete which offer more shopping opportunities and there are lovely Mediterranean beaches. The bigger towns are only 10 to 30 mins max away. Montpellier is 25mins away and offers an interesting day out and Michelin restaurants. Provence, the Camargue and the Pyrenees are 1 to 2 hours away.
