Stable Door Studio is newly refurbished and offers a very high standard of accommodation. The property consists of a main studio room with sofa bed, dining table and chairs, and well equipped kitchen area. The separate shower room has a spacious shower cubicle. The Studio is conveniently located in the center of the beautiful town of Lewes- right on your doorstep are historic sites, fantastic independent shopping and antique centers, great food, and a wide selection of welcoming pubs, many serving local Harveys beer. Just outside the town, the South Downs National Park offers great walking, lovely villages to explore, and historic houses to visit. The nearby city of Brighton has something for everyone, with a traditional British seafront and pier, great shopping, and vibrant night life. 5 minutes walk from the apartment, Lewes train station gives easy access to London, and for visitors to nearby Glyndebourne Opera, the complimentary bus service departs from outside Lewes Station.

Notes on accommodation: Couples with one baby or toddler are welcome, but please note we do not supply a cot, so you will need to bring your own. We do provide a travel high chair to use on one of the dining chairs, as well as a changing mat and children's crockery and cutlery. For walkers, we provide boot scrapers, and a rail and tray for drying wet coats and boots. The studio also has local maps, guides and information leaflets on recommended walking routes. A picnic set is also available for your use, including thermos flask. Outside: Sunny outside patio area with container grown plants and seat. (Please note that this area is crossed by the access to another property). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are included. For stays of longer than one week a weekly change of linen is provided. The property does not have a washing machine but a laundry service is available on request (charges apply).

A wonderfully snug little flat. Everything you need is provided. Great central location in Lewes,

A great location right in the centre of historical Lewes. Very well equipped flat - and wonderful under floor heating.

And actually pretty quiet as it is hidden behind the High street. Emily the owner was very helpful.

Lewes is a great place for foodies and we recommend Bills restaurant just over the bridge and the Snowdrop Inn for great dinners. There is also a great food market on Friday.

We walked to Virginia Woolf's House along the Ouse which is pretty easy and flat - just over 3 miles - and there is a great pub in the village.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and recommend it for a brilliant break in a great historical town.

A great little place

This is a really nice place and we loved our stay here so much.

It's nice an central with everything near by. The studio has everything you need. The only thing to put my finger on was the bed. It's a bit hard on the back.

Booking Notes:
Please contact our local representative Emily Wade to confirm availability and to make a provisional booking. A provisional booking will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of 20% of the full rental value, or one night’s rental for a weekend or short break. The deposit must be received by us within 7 days of booking. The balance payment is required a minimum of 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. For late bookings (within 6 weeks of arrival), payment in full on booking is required.

Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover day is Friday for weekly lets. Short breaks are possible (minimum stay 2 nights). Guests are asked to arrive after 3 pm and depart by 10 am.

Notes on prices:
Please note that special pricing applies for bookings including the Christmas period (Saturday 21st December 2013 to Saturday 4th January 2014). At these times peak rates apply, i.e. £ 450 for weekly stays and £85 per night for short breaks.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
