Why David O Treasaigh chose Sants-Montjuïc

It is very central and within easy access of public transport and all other amenities. You are in the city center but you are away from the crowds. The property is located next to Montjuic with all its beautiful parks and gardens.

What makes this apartment unique

With over fifty satelite channels to choose from including Sky news, travel, music and cartoon channels it is ideal for all the family to relax after a hard days sightseeing.

In our Kids Corner we have a selection of children's toys including puzzles, books and other games as well as kids DVDs to keep the young ones entertained.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely apartment for four nights. The location is great and the apartment has everything you need for a nice stay. The owner was also very helpful and friendly. We hope to go back again sometime.

It gave us a chance to experience what its really like to live in Barcelona.

Very comfortable apartment with everything you need. Plenty of DVDS, toys, books and UK TV to keep the kids occupied while getting ready for days out or for unwinding in the evening. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Overall, a great few days, great value for money and will definitely be back again soon.

GREAT LOCATION TO SEE BARCELONA!

This apartment is diamond in a rough. No, it is not a palace or 5 star hotel. It is clean, well kept, and in an awesome location. My family spent 5 days in this 2 bedroom apartment. We have a 14 year-old daughter and 16 year old son. It apartment worked great. The WIFI was fast and dependable--my kids loved it! Beds were comfortable and clean. It was GREAT having a washing machine in the apartment.

Best part was the LOCATION! It was about a 300 meter walk to the METRO! It took a straight to La Familila, Guell Park, La Rambla. Bus 300 meter walk. The bus drops you off at the beach. Close to shopping. Close to Mont Juic. Tapas were available with 100 meter walk. I recommend Pincho J's. Fantastic grocery store about 300 meter walk. The location is so great that we could of done Barcelona in 4 days instead of 5.

A couple minor concerns. The TV was good, but limited English channels. There in only one bath and the toilet is separated.

David and his wife were great work with as well. Very professional and accommodating! I would highly recommend this apartment. This is a GREAT VALUE!

Owner very accommodating Everything there that you would need Nice Tapas bars very close by. Not far from the metro which we used daily to go to the tourist attractions Very central for everthing.Our first time in Barcelona and happy with our choice of apartment

Good value, fantastic location

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 teenage daughters. The apartment was simply furnished and very clean with comfortable, spacious accommodation for the 4 of us. The kitchen enabled us to self-cater - there is a great greengrocers and a supermarket just 3 minutes away on the main street. We didn't eat in a lot though as just 1 minute away there is a pedestrianized street full of inexpensive bars and restaurants (Blai). There are several bars that serve 'pinchos' - small snacks on slices of French bread, incredible value at 1euro each. The bars operate on a self-service system and tot up the number of snacks you have eaten. Great value for a snack or a light meal.

The apartment is in a fantastic location, not at all touristy, but within 15 minutes walk of La Rambla. Most of the major tourist sites are in walking distance and for those that are further afield, like Parc Guell and the Sagrada Familia, the metro station is just 5 minutes away.

I would highly recommend this apartment for it's value, local situation and position for sight-seeing.

Large Apartment Great location

The owner, David was prompt to meet us and showed us the apartment and how everything worked(wifi,kitchen...). As English is his first language communication was perfect and he was available on his cell phone should we have needed anything. The apartment was clean and well equipped for cooking. We were a family of 4 and it was perfect but as it is relatively large it could easily accommodate a larger family. The best part of the apartment was the location: close to everything but far enough from the crowds. The apartment is in Proble Sec just west of El Raval. It is on a quiet street. The area has lots of little markets and stores close by and has all the texture, sounds, and smells, that Barcelona can offer. One block from the apartment there is a pedestrian street with several tapas bars and restaurants so you do not have to venture far to experience Barcelona's night life. The restaurants and Tapas bars were great and inexpensive. It is close to two metro stops, but as it is so centrally located we preferred the 15 -20 minute walk to the Ramblas. One night for a change we walked up into Parc de Montjuic which is just to the west. When we come back to Barcelona we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this apartment for an more authentic Barcelona experience. It was great and gave us the sense of living, all be it for a short time, in Barcelona.

Ideal for family stay in Barcelona

The apartment was just as described. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Short walk to metro station but also plenty of choice of restaurants and bars on a pedestrianised street just 2 mins walk away. We walked from apartment to Las Ramblas and to the marina. The owner, David was away but kept in touch by email and his friend who let us in was very helpful as were the neighbours that we met. Air con in living room was great to cool the apartment down. Teenagers appreciated the WiFi. This was the best value apartment for the days we wanted, it had all we needed and meant we could spend more on all the great places to eat out nearby. We would stay there again.

There are regular bus services nearby which will take you to the beach in 10 minutes.

Travel:

The main Barcelona airport is about 15 kms from the city center. A taxi from the airport to the apartment costs around 25 Euro. Alternatively, you can catch the airbus shuttle which runs every 10 mins and which will drop you at Plaza España. From there you can walk (10/15 minutes or hop on the underground which at Plaza España and go two stops to parallel which is our nearest station.

Car hire is not essential.

Distances:

Enjoy a day trip to the beautiful coastal town of Sitges. There are regular trains from Sants station to Sitges and it takes about 30 minutes.

Casteldefels is another great beach for a day trip. Take the train from Sants station to Casteldefels which takes 20-30 minutes.

Further Details:

There are plenty of supermarkets and local shops and bakeries in the neighborhood along with tapas bars and wide selection of restaurants to choose from. Montjuic with its stunning parks and gardens is within a five minute walk from the apartment. Plaza España offers the visitor an amazing light show at weekends as well as the new Arenas shopping center with a wide array of shops, boutiques and restaurants.
