CHAMONIX: Chamonix is a very large town, and compared to other resorts that are purpose built, it is often hard to find a property that is near lifts, ski runs and the town center.

This property is one of only a few in Chamonix that can boast such a feature.

By foot, (walking with ski boots on)......

**1 minute walk to ski field that is used for beginners

**2 minutes to nursery drag lift that takes you to Brevent lift.

**5 minutes and you are ready to catch the main bubble lift up from Chamonix to the Brévent ski area.

**2 minutes back to apartment from the black run decent from Brévent to Chamonix

** 20 seconds to ski bus stop for access to all other lifts and ski areas in the valley of Chamonix

** 4 minutes walk to town centre for supermarkets, bars, restaurants, clubs, cinemas

**20 seconds to local bakers/cafe

**2 minutes to Chamonix sports centre for swimming, ice skating, gym, sauna, and lots more activities....

Summer in Chamonix: When the snow has melted, Chamonix still has plenty of activities to offer, from mountaineering to white water rafting as well as more general sports and leisure activities such as tennis and squash, horse riding, bowling, swimming and fitness. The car-free centre of town is full of atmosphere and very cosmopolitan, with cobbled streets and squares, beautiful old buildings built around a fast-running glacial river. The atmosphere is lively and bustling with a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. For trekking and hiking, the Chamonix valley has the most comprehensive and clearly indicated network of mountain paths in the Haute-Savoie. There are over 350km of marked paths along the valley leading up to the glaciers. Chamonix has a wealth of mountain biking opportunities for all ages and abilities. All the cable car systems run in the summer, giving opportunities for downhilling as well as numerous cross-country trails up and down the valley.

Apres Ski in Chamonix: Chamonix's reputation as one of the liveliest apres-ski resorts in the Alps is justly deserved. With numerous bars, and even its own micro-brewery, you will find somewhere to cover every taste. Live music kicks off around 4pm in several venues, notably Chambre Neuf, MBC and South Bar, most days in the winter, but there are plenty of quiet and cosy meeting spots for a vin chaud and a chat. As the early evenings pass into night-time, you can carry on partying until 4am or later in several nightclubs around town. On several nights of the year, all night licences mean you are likely to still be out at sunrise, especially during the summer months.

Many bars offer great food menus, but there is a huge selection of excellent restaurants as well, up to the Michelin-starred Albert Premier. Whether it be traditional French, Savoyarde, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean or just modern cuisine, Chamonix has it all.

If you book with us you will be met on arrival by our Concierge Partners. They will be on hand in case of emergencies. Normal check in is between 4pm and 8pm, and check out on departure by 10am.

Prior to arrival, our Concierge Partners could help you organise your airport transfers, guides & activities, and equipment hire.

Please get in touch with us and ask about our competitive rates.

Nearest Airport : Geneva international airport at 45 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Elevation 1904 at 0.3 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Calais at 850 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Les Praz at 5 Kilometres Nearest Train : Chamonix at 0.3 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Our recommendation is that you fly to Geneva airport it is only 50 miles to Chamonix and takes little more than an hour. You may choose to hire a car or we can arrange a transfer for you. You may choose to travel by train or public bus from the airport although the journey takes much longer.

Chamonix is best known for its extreme skiing, climbing, high mountain hiking and mountain biking. This busy alpine village is extremely popular in the winter and summer seasons with tourists clambering for a glimpse of Mont Blanc. Chamonix has all the facilities of a town with a great variety of shops, restaurants and bars, cinema, museums, sports centre, ice-skating, tennis, squash, swimming pools and 18 hole golf course.

There are fabulous walking and running trails all over the valley as well as xc mountain biking and downhilling and unlimited climbing areas for all abilities.

The skiing/snowboarding is ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers, but also great ski schools for beginners.

Other Activities: All Alpine activities are catered for in the area. Ask us if there is anything special you are interested in I'm sure we can arrange it!

Golf: The par 72 golf course is overlooked by some of the highest peaks in the Alps and is next to the Felgere Ski Resort. If you are staying in Chamonix it is a 5min drive or you can take the train or a bus to Les Praz.

The golf course in the Chamonix valley has a high standard with excellent facilities. It is situated next to the village of Les Praz. Constructed in 1934, originally with 4 holes, it was officially opened on the 20 July 1935 with 9 holes completed. It was only in 1972 the council decided on a further 9 holes. So 10 years later, on the 26 September 1982 it was relaunched with 18 holes.

A technical course designed by the prestigious architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, who knew how to make the most of the environment. The course is notable for the its numerous obstacles and raised greens. There is a driving range of 29 bays of which 14 are covered, 2 training greens and 2 bunkers. Course open every day, reservations 24 hours in advance.

Ski: Chamonix provides skiing for all abilities with nursery slopes at Les Planards, Les Chosalets as well great ski schools at all the ski resorts. However, Chamonix is ideal for the intermediate and advanced skier. The intermediate runs boast excellent groomed pistes, trails and mogul fields. For the expert skier there is limitless off piste skiing and some of the steepest and most challenging runs in the Alps including the awe-inspiring 22km ski down the Vallée Blanche on the Mer de Glace with a mountain guide.

The skiing in the Chamonix Valley is spread over 5 separate areas which are linked by a regular and efficient bus service included in the lift pass. At the base of the Valley is Les Houches. From the Chamonix centre Le Brévent which is linked to La Flégère. Up the Valley is Les Grands Montets at Argentière and finally Le Tour.
