This house which is in a rural setting has a lovely view of the mountains, yet the major attractions of the Killarney region, South Kerry and the Iveragh Peninsula, West Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula are easily accessible. This is a newly built house with all the modern conveniences. It is located in its spacious grounds and well kept lawns. One is very much in touch with nature, the house being surrounded by farm life and wildlife. The Laune river with its salmon fishing is nearby. The Magillicuddy Reeks, with Ireland’s highest peak, is a great attraction for hill walkers and mountain climbers and is only 2km. Killorglin for shopping is 6km away on the Ring of Kerry. The village of Beaufort, the Gap of Dunloe and Killarney’s Lower Lake is 6 km. Killarney, one of our premier tourist destinations is 15km. It is a hive of entertainment and leisure activities and offers many sightseeing tours. The beaches of Rossbeigh and Dooks is a 25 minutes drive. The local golf course is 2 km away.

I live in Ireland with my wife and children. This holiday home was built in the last few years. We decided to build in Kerry because of the beautiful scenery, mountains and lakes and also because of its proximity to the sea. We, as a family, spend a lot of our free time there.
Edward Kelliher purchased this house in 2008
I chose to build in Kerry because it's my native area and my family and roots are there. Over the years and because of travelling, I had come to appreciate far more what my own native area had to offer in terms of scenery, a peaceful and relaxing location and healthy leisure activities.
I find the property is an ideal base for discovering not only the Killarney area but the whole Kerry region and the beaches, lakes and mountains are easily accessible. The towns with their entertainment and festivals, such as Tralee and its Rose of Tralee festival, are within short driving distance.
Stayed here early July with family. A great base to explore the best of Kerry and even Cork. First class facilities and very helpful and pleasant home owners. Recommended for a holiday to remember 👍
Often when properties say "sleeps 8", it's only if half are sleeping on the sofa. Not so here - 4 large bedrooms, 2 en-suite and 2 sharing a bathroom, mean it will comfortably house 4 couples. With 2 living rooms as well as kitchen/dining, we found that our 2 couples used only half the house. We were a little nervous because the price was so cheap, but apart from a slightly remote location (which wasn't a problem at all for us), it has everything - including a washing machine and plenty of space to dry wet clothes, if needed. The furnishings are slightly Spartan (my wife said "it's furnished by a man"), but very comfortable. And all the appliances and plumbing worked well. Two televisions (to go with the 2 living rooms), but we had no need of them.
As for the location - it's 10 minutes to either Beaufort, with a couple of good pubs, or Killorglin, with decent shops (we did all our food shopping at the Eurospar there) and more eating options. Killarney is 20 minutes, but we never felt the need to visit. You obviously need a car, but unless you want to be within walking distance of shops/pubs/entertainment, I highly recommend this place.
We stayed for a week at Edward's fine house and found it to be everything we needed. Tons of room for large families and absolutely palacial for just the two of us!
Superb throughout with all the facilities you could want. The kitchen was also great for us as we always do a fair bit of cooking while we are away. Very well tended gardens, would be super for kids running around.
The area is very quiet with little traffic, just what we needed for a weeks break. Killorglin is just down the road for most essentials with Killarney 20 minutes away.
We found so much to do you would really want a fortnight here to see everything. Edward was very helpful with local knowledge and a real gent to boot as well. We would highly recommend this house to anyone interested in coming to this area.
We spent a week here in August and it's a great base for touring round from Killarney to Dingle you won't be lost for places to visit! The house is in a nice quiet rural area,it is clean and well equipped for a family with comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms and plenty of space inside and out for a family. Edward and his wife are the owners, they are very friendly and communication before we arrived was good also.
All in all we had a great weeks holiday there!
The home and neighborhood were lovely and the garden is well tended. My family and I have memories to last a lifetime.
We absolutely recommend spending your holiday in Co. Kerry but more so, we recommend staying at this property.. The owners are so lovely and friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. The property is clean and tidy and has every you could need from kitchenware to bedding. Its such a lovely quiet area and that's what we needed, but only about 5 mins drive to nearest shop/post office and across the road from that is The Inbetween (public house/restaurant) - such friendly owners there too, as well as great food!
The house is only about 10-15 from the town of Kilorglin and Killarney (opposite directions)
There's so much to do here, we usually packed a picnic in the morning and headed off til late evening (with 4 children all under 5) They had a brilliant holiday, as did we. We are from Co. Derry and this holiday/stay was well worth the travel. We will definitely be back in Co. Kerry and we will definitely be back to stay here too!

The long, beautiful beach of Rossbeigh is a 25 minute drive. As well as good swimming Rossbeigh beach provides hang gliding and wind surfing. One reaches the coast near Killorglin 6km away and one can follow the coast road passing by Cromane, Glenbeigh, Kells, Cahirsiveen, Waterville and back to Killarney, still on the coast road, through Sneem and Kenmare. This coastal road is the scenic Ring of Kerry.
