Luxury Villa with private pool in Padul, Lecrin Valley, Granada, Spain. Perfect for summer holidays, city breaks, winter skiing, hiking and golfing.

Spacious 5 bedroom/4 bathroom villa, with private pool, furnished sun terraces, WIFI & satellite TV situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains and National Park. Our villa is located in a private residential area 2 km outside the unspoilt Spanish town of Padul and 15 minutes from the beautiful historic City of Granada. Santa Clara golf course is just 5 minutes away and the surrounding area also gives access to the beaches of the Costa Tropical, the mountain villages of the Alpujarras and the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada (35 minutes drive). The house has 3 floors plus underground car parking. On the ground floor: spacious lounge with access to the terrace and outdoor dining, a modern fully fitted kitchen and laundry room, twin bedroom and full bathroom. On the first floor: 3 double bedrooms and two full bathrooms (one en-suite). Access to the third floor via a spiral staircase: large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, also includes a double futon bed/settee.

Why Rob Hendry chose Vega de Granada

We purchased our villa from new and were drawn to this area because it feels typically Spanish, is situated in beautiful countryside and yet is still just 10 minutes from Granada with it's wealth of history.

Also as a golf lover I can play 18 holes at Santa Clara in the morning and be back relaxing by the pool in time for lunch!

Notes on accommodation: Pets not permitted and children should be supervised around the pool (2m depth at the deep end). Outside: The villa is set in a walled garden (760m sq) with private pool (10m x 5m), outside shower, bbq, patio table and chairs, sun loungers and boules court. The garden is landscaped with a selection of trees and plants for shade and color. There are also great views over to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, National Park and Granada City. The Canadas del Parque residential site also has a football pitch, childrens play area and tennis courts. Utility Room: The utility room is situated off the kitchen and has a washing machine, iron & ironing board and additional storage for your convenience. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linens included. Property cleaned prior to arrival and on departure. Pool cleaned weekly and garden maintained weekly. Other: The villa has air conditioning on the ground floor & in the master bedroom, with fans in the other bedrooms. For the winter there is central heating through-out & an open fireplace in the lounge. There is also a basement for secure & shaded car parking.

Easy vacation

Although we were told that the week we were there was unusually windy, it did not hinder our relaxation. The house had everything we needed for a party of 10, ages 4 to 78. It was a quick 15 minute drive from the center of Granada. The house was clean and well stocked. The pool was well cared for and despite VRBO being difficult to navigate with payments, Rob went out of his way to be patient while I dealt with that.

A fantastic villa in a perfect setting

A really fantastic villa in a great location only 20 minutes from Granada. Some beautiful typical Spanish villages nearby to explore with good motorway links. The villa is clean and has lots of space. The master bedroom is particularly lovely with a balcony over looking the countryside.

Greated by Holly who made us feel welcome and we knew if there were any problems we could get in touch. The swimming pool was great - cold enough to be refreshing but not freezing!

There were 7 of us including the elderly father of our friends and he coped really well. It was good having a room downstairs for him with his own bathroom. We didn't feel on top of each other at all. Well worth the money I absolutely recommend it.

Got it all for fun, sun, exertion and relaxation!

This was our second stay, but after summer rather than before, so quite a different outlook without snow up on the sierra nevada. However, similarly lovely weather and temperature for us to enjoy all this fantastic villa has to offer, from having fun in the pool by day to al fresco dining with panoramic views washed down with some wonderful local wine in the evenings. We hired a car, which is essential if you want to explore all this rich area has to offer, and took in the sites of the Sierra Nevada and also regular trips to central Grenada. If we decided to drink, taxis were not too expensive and the tapas bars are legendary! The Alhambra Palace is a must and to view it from one of the many restaurants in the Arab Quarter as the sun goes down is magical. If you're into serious cycling, there are many challenging routes and spectacular scenery as a reward for the effort needed to make the immense climes. We opted for the less strenuous option of golf at the Santa Clara course, which is well maintained and a challenge for all levels of golfer. The 19th has great views and is ideal to sink a few cool ones whilst you contemplate what was lacking in your round that day! The non-playing Girls found an easy 1/2 hour walk across country to the course and we all did the same one day when we decided to just go there for the view, tapas and drinks.

As mentioned, this was our second visit and will certainly not be our last! Can't speak highly enough of the property or the owners, Rob and Becky, who made sure everything was organised for us to enjoy our stay to the max ~ nothing was too much trouble, and we reciprocated by appreciating that we were guests in their pristine home and treated it accordingly. There are just too many positives about this place to mention. If you are not into the hustle-bustle of big resorts and prefer a quieter environment as a base, this is ideal. the beach is only an hour by car. However, if you go earlier in the season, it's the ski slopes you should head for. They are very good, very reasonable and reachable easily within the hour ~ and after a tough morning hitting the slopes, you can head back for a BBQ in the sun and dip in the pool. It's just great!!

A lovely week at a great Villa

The location of the Villa was great for us, a week in the sun relaxing by the pool.

All the facilities in the villa were great, all rooms were big and had towels, it was clean and well maintained.

I would def go again and recommend the villa.

Great villa With loads of room and great outside

Very good villa. Loads of room and all the modcons. Very clean and the owners have thought of all essentials like good WIFI and cable TV. Granada is a great city for lunch, dinner or just drinks in bars with good atmosphere.

The ski resort is very well organised and parking could not be easier.

We will return year after year.

A beautiful villa, with lovely accommodation in a

We have just returned from a week's stay in this lovely villa and can honestly say that it is a beautiful villa. The pool is lovely, with plenty of really sturdy sunbeams and the villa and grounds are very well maintained. There is a lovely shady dining area on the terrace, where we had our meals and were able to sit out every evening. We enjoyed playing boules and doing very little (it was extremely hot!)

The owners were extremely efficient and answered all my queries promptly and the people in Padul, who met us and helped out whilst there, were really efficient. We would not hesitate to stay here again
