Great London location

Superb apartement, very nicely equipped, comfortable, pretty interior, two cosy bedrooms.Excellent kitchen and living room. Everything was very clean. Stephanie received us late in the evening as we had a late journey from the Dover ferry. It was very convenient to park on the premisses. Stephanie had filled up the refrigerator with milk, eggs, butter, oranges etc. There were plenty of fruits, tea and coffee, so we had everything we needed for a relaxing breakfast the next morning. Would certainly come back, and recommend this great London location with good access to the centre of London.

Read on. You won't be disappointed...

This was our first experience of holidaylettings. Are they all this good? We'll certainly be coming back.

Our host Stephanie was warm and met us on arrival. She took us through the very well-equipped apartment and showed us how everything worked. She also provided us with maps and Oyster cards for our stay as well as a personally prepared written guide to the area with restaurant and transport tips. Stephanie's two level/bedroom/bathroom flat was very comfortable and sunny

and contained all the facilities we needed. It is modern and beautifully decorated (white walls and white furniture coverings) including works of art by Stephanie's late father-in-law, a distinguished artist. Added to this, Stephanie herself, who lives in the flat below, makes sure you are welcome and well looked after throughout your stay. The flat is professionally cleaned weekly and sheets and towels changed. She even provides flowers and keeps them fresh! You will find yourself in a block including a general store and launderette. Transport is excellent: the flat is within a hundred meters or so from bus and train stops (one is practically at the doorstep). Buses go to three different parts of the city and the nearby Denmark Hill overground can get you to Victoria in under 10 minutes. One of the buses is a 24 hour service. A large Sainsbury's supermarket is a walk away and vibrant East Dulwich and Peckham villages can be reached on foot or by bus. We will stay again and you too will not regret staying here for your sojourn in London.

Excellent appartment and great host

Just came back from a weekendtrip with friends, loved the apartment. It's spacious, warm, clean and verey well equipped. The fridge was filled with bread, butter, cheese, jams, fruit, coffee, milk and eggs. And no shortage of tea, sugar, salt etcetera. It's all veryw well taken care of, Host Stephanie makes you feel very welcome.

It's near Denmark Hill station and there's a bussstop nearby, from where buses take you to the centre of London. The area itself has some nice, parks, shops, takeaways and restaurants.

Home from home!

Fantastic, well equipped and stylish apartment! There were 5 adults, a toddler and baby - plenty of room and facilities for all of us. Lovely provisions left for us, and very nice products in bathrooms. Stephanie was very welcoming and downstairs to help with any queries, advice and needs.

Good location for our family celebration. Able to park on front and on street over weekend. Also convenient for Denmark Hill station.

Found road rather noisy at night but we do live in the country up a very quiet lane!

What a find!

We had the pleasure of staying in this delightful apartment for 5 days in September.It presents as photographed,impeccably clean,light airy and spacious.We were a group of two couples and the living and bedroom spaces were perfect.The hospitality extended by Simon and Stephanie was second to none and we were completely overwhelmed by their attention to detail and customer service without being intrusive.Fresh flowers a well stocked fridge and pantry and an abundance of fresh fruit were unexpected.Not to mention loads of fluffy towels high quality linen and hand soaps,lotions etc.The beds were a dream!The location was a perfect quiet base from which to explore London.The convenience of a bus right at the door and the train with easy links to London Victoria in 9 minutes was just brilliant.There is a convenience store and off Liscence two doors down and If you have laundry to be done,the laundromat right next door will wash and dry a large load for 8-10£ as a same day service! There is also a great Sainsbury supermarket 1/4 mile away that is an easy walk.The Crooked Well (pub/restaurant) which is a short walk away, does a brilliant Sunday roast.

We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and we will certainly return when next in London.Stephanie and Simon,thank you!

Fantastic flat

This flat was an amazing experience. It was huge and took up two floors. The owner Stephanie made sure you had everything you required and stocked the cupboards and fridges with lots of goodies like fresh fruit, chocolates, milk, eggs, tea, coffee, marmalade, organic butter, cheese, condiments, bottled water, vegemite etc. etc. She was very helpful and was always available to answer your questions such as transport timetables. If you needed any more food you could buy some from the convenience store a few metres away or eat at places a few metres away. The decor and standard of fixtures was incredible with two bathrooms and two kitchens. It was a real experience with fantastic modern art pictures on the walls that stood out against the white decor. By the end of our three day stay we developed a real appreciation for these artworks. The flat was very clean and comfortable with TV in main bedroom and downstairs living room. The location was fantastic with train station only a 2 minute walk and only one stop from Victoria Station. The bus stop was only a few meters from the premises as well. The property had double glazing so it was very quite and we slept well in the luxurious linen on the large king size beds. There was free private off street parking which is why I was drawn to book this premises in the first place. I think this place was amazing value for money and the owners were so lovely I would gladly stay here again. With only 9 minutes by train to Victoria Station it is much better than staying in a noisy B & B in places like Earls Court or Kensington you can't park your car and spend a fortune eating out.

Further Details:

Huge Sainsburys supermarket a quarter of a mile away, laundrette and convenience store, restaurant and pub adjacent, plethora of dining options within half a mile. Greenwich, with it's fabulous market, The Cutty Sark, The Royal Observatory, The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich Park (Olympic Equestrian site), great historical pubs on the Thames, The 02 Arena - all only half an hour away by train. Ditto Eltham Palace where King Henry VIII played in the great medieval hall as a young prince, and where in the 1930's Sir Stephen Courtauld and his wife Virginia built a state of the art Art Deco house with glorious gardens and the surviving moat. Chic East Dulwich is just down the road with many independent shops, restaurants and bars, and a lovely Saturday street market. And central London only 10 minutes away by train, half an hour by bus which stops outside the door, and takes you across Waterloo Bridge for the best views in London.
