Beautiful Cottage In Idyllic Position With Spectacular Views Over Sea And Beach

Updated: 21-Nov-2016
Cottage in Robin Hoods Bay, North Yorkshire Moors, England - Quiet Location Overlooking The Sea- Heaven

At the end of a quiet street ( car free) , The Studio perches on the cliff edge with the sea on two sides of it. The situation is privileged to put it mildly- the views simply stunning. The cottage is well equipped and tastefully decorated in a theme being mainly wooden floors and white walls and local art- it is bright and light with the main focus on the views. The outside space is extensive with all garden/ patio areas overlooking the sea- views, views, views. Not suitable for disabled. It is the only property under 300 years old in the old smugglers/ fishing village, the original property having fallen into the sea about 200 years ago. The cottage has the advantage of being spacious and bright with large windows making the most of the sea views.

About the Owner

I live in a very rural part of Scotland with my husband and two grown up children. I keep busy working with property and looking after various dogs, cats and horses. I fell in love with Robin Hoods Bay as a child and spend as much time as i can there, although I have to say its never enough and I always hate leaving the place.

We stayed at this beautiful cottage over xmas. The cottage was clean and welcoming with everything you could need. The views from every window were breathtaking and the decking area where right above the sea. Robin hoods bay is a place untouched by time and is wonderful to explore. Local pubs and restaurants and warm welcomes wherever you go. Really was a magical holiday.

The apartment was beautiful and clean. It felt like home. The view of the sea was priceless and my child was able to watch a football match from her window which she was excited about. The beach was just a few minutes walk and you can also walk to the town center. We were able to walk to all the sites. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend the apartments.

I bought the cottage as it was love at first sight - the views and situation of the cottage made it impossible to walk away.

From the Owner

Vehicular access to Robin Hoods Bay and the cottages there could not be described as convenient, but once you are unloaded and parked the place is idyllic. The Studio is probably the best all round cottage in the Bay - if you have never been to the Bay, try it!!! If you have already been and want a lovely cottage in a very privileged position The Studio is most definitely for you!!!

  • Notes on accommodation: A real home from home. High standard of accommodation in stunning position perched on cliff overlooking beach/ sea. The views take your breath away and the outdoor space and large windows help make the most of them. Outside: Garden, patio and decking. Various seating areas all overlooking the sea/ beach- for Robin Hoods Bay this is VERY unusual but the outside space is extensive. The patio outside the kitchen door has a glass balustrade so is protected from the wind without compromising on the view, its a great suntrap. The photos give you some idea as to the variety of seating areas/ outdoor space with the cottage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and tea towels provided- please bring your own towels and beach towels.
