The cottages are located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Jugon, lying between Dinan and Lamballe, so is an excellent centre for exploring the area. Dinard, St Malo and Mont St Michel are all within an easy drive and safe sandy beaches can be reached within 30 minutes.
A brief walk takes you down to the Lake with all its watersports and accessible facilities provided by the camp site including tennis courts and an outdoor heated swimming pool. Similarly the village is within walking distance and provides restaurants, bars and shops within a beautiful histroric market square, enabling the village to be recognised as a " Petites Cites De Caractere"
The property itself stands within its own 0.5 acre garden, shared with our adjoining cottage, that is set with mature trees and shrubs. Separate patio areas, with BBQ facilities are provided for each cottage and there is sufficient parking for up to 4 vehicles.
Sympathetic renovation has enabled modern facilities to be made available for guests whilst maintaining the original features. There are beams and log burners in both properties, set within original fireplaces, as well as effective storage heaters for added cosiness.
The spacious living areas both over look the well maintained garden where you can enjoy peace and quite with total privacy. The kitchens are fully equipped to enable fully self catered living and washing machines are provided. All the bedrooms are good sized doubles and both properties have separate toilet and bathroom facilities.
I live in England and have 3 grown up children.
The property is maintained and managed by local people who have relocated to the area and are on hand to assist if required.
Despite having repeatedly stayed in this property over the last 13 years I still relish my time in Jugon, it never disappoints no matter when I visit and now the children are grown and flown I come at various times in the year but not as often as I would like due to work commitments. Roll on retirement !
As a family we enjoyed many holidays in France and decided to buy our own place 13 years ago, whilst staying in a nearby cottage that had been beautifully restored by the owners son.
With his help we have totally renovated both our cottages to a very high standard.
Both properties are very well equipped, based on what you would expect in your own home, rather than the 'minimum necessary' for a rental property.

The location of this property is one of its many assets, easily reached by air, ferry and tunnel it is ideal for both short breaks and extended holidays. This particularly location in Brittany was chosen as there is much to see do to ensure everyone has a good holiday.
The cottages are situated within walking distance of both Jugon les Lacs, a very traditional but bustling market town as well as the lake itself.
Jugon is "open" all year round, boasting a number of restaurants and cafes situated around the characterful market square, ideal for sitting and relaxing with a glass of wine. Shopping in Jugon is very convenient with the newly opened and well stocked supermarket alongside individual shops you would expect on every high street in France and a weekly market.
The large lake in Jugon is another very attractive feature of this location as it enables visitors to enjoy a range of water sports including windsurfing, sailing and fishing which is well recognised as some of the best carp fishing in France.
Alongside part of the Lake is a small well maintained camp site which provides swimming pool facilities, play areas, tennis courts and take away foods accessible to non residents.
Beyond Jugon itself there are a whole host of different attractions, within about a 30 minute drive. Beautiful sandy beaches such as St Briec , Penguen, and medieval towns such as Dinan which not only has an amazing market and delicious restaurants but a wonderful mix of shops and galleries. For those who enjoy walking there is the stunning Emerald Coast to explore along a well established coastal path. Golf and horse riding are also easily accessible and if you have bikes the quiet country routes are ideal to explore.
Whenever a holiday is taken in this property in this location you always come away wishing you had more time to explore and enjoy more of the treasures it holds.
One of the things we appreciate is the flexibility the cottage and location provides. As we have two adjoining cottages and can accommodate up to 10 we are able to
have friends or family staying together whilst at the same time maintaining some separate space.
It is located in a quiet area with a large garden and it is easy just to spend a day at the cottage with the children playing football, badminton etc
At the same time there is plenty to do within safe walking distance such a the swimming pool, canoe hire at the lake etc.
One nice thing, particularly as the children became more self reliant, is that they can do things themselves without relying on us for transport.

Once booking has been confirmed by e mail, owner will issue booking form to be completed and returned with deposit (£50 per week deposit)
Full payment is required two months before arrival.
