Casa Cristovao is a pretty 2 bed 2 bathroom villa with air con.Comprising dedicated parking area garden, BBQ patio area & wonderful outside dinning terrace.Ideally located 5 miles west of Abufeira With a wealth of historic, interesting & leisure destinations only a short drive away. The magical praia Grande beach a mere mile away as the crow flies ( 5 mins by car ) our heaven on earth hope u enjoy

Lovely traditional villa in handy location

We stayed for two weeks, with a family group of up to five people. The villa is just how it looks in the pictures - a nice, family-friendly house with lovely views from the terrace across to the sea, and you can watch storks and flamingoes on the nature reserve!

The house itself has a long history with the Campbells, and so has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The furnishings reflect the traditional rustic tastes of the owners, with local pottery kitchen ware and charming bedroom furniture. There are many useful things available to borrow during your stay for BBQ's and trips to the beach - parasols, cool box etc; and the two bathrooms mean arriving back from the beach everyone can get showered quickly and easily.

My sister and her son were with us for for the first week and she used the sofa bed and slept comfortably on it.

Gordon was an excellent friendly host and answered any queries promptly and very straightforwardly.

The Villa is in a handy position for heading off exploring, being not far from the N125, you can hear the traffic at a low level when you're outside but not in an invasive way, and inside the house you don't hear it. There are lots of amenities near by mostly needing a car, but there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance which is handy.

It didn't bother us because the children are older, but for families with young children the cactus garden (which I loved) could be hazardous, and the garden isn't fully enclosed as there is no fence between the garden and the driveway which is next to the road, which is quite quiet but by no means unused.

We loved our time there and found the villa an excellent base for our stay, with many happy times spent relaxing on the terrace and gazing at the view, when we weren't off exploring the region.

Booking Notes:
On confirmation of your date's availability, a non refundable deposit of 20% is payable by cheque or bank transfer.The full balance is payable 6 weeks before your arrival date. (for late bookings, ie within 6 weeks of your holiday start date, full price is to be paid on booking confirmation).

Changeover Day:
We would recommend monday or tuesday as prefered changeover days, flights tend to be cheaper, however we would try to be as flexible as circumstances, and booking's allow, with a first come first served bias.

Notes on prices:
Prices for the property are quoted per week in UK pounds.
Bookings falling within different price bands will be charged pro rata.
As would bookings with an odd number of days.
Winter bookings, November to March, heating and logs are charged as extra.
Negotiable discount for winter lets of 4 weeks plus.

Outside: The dedicated parking area for 3 vehicles beside the villa leads to a lockable entrance gate, leading through a wall enclosed area to the entrance door into the kitchen. The area outside the kitchen has a small table ideal for catching the early morning sun. From this area there are steps leading to the roof terrace with stunning uninterupted views to sea, also on the roof terrace is the washing line (pegs available in kitchen) A door leads from the living room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels, including beach towels, and linen are included in rental price - with bed linen, there is a chioce of duvets or sheets and throws - cleaning & linen exchange service is weekly. Increased maid service can arranged for an additional cost. Other: Small store room (off living room) with linin cuboard and water heater could be used for luggage storage
