Couldn't of been any better!

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't of stayed in a better house! Made our stay in Cornwall even better than expected. Felt like home! The bedrooms were brilliant and the living room way really cosy. Really would like to return here soon and would strongly recommend it :)

A lovely stay in a beautiful house

  • 4 of 5

We had a really great time staying at Seascape. The house was even nicer than the pictures show.

There are two really lovely master bedrooms with fantastic sea views. The garden has a nice seating/bbq area and is a good size. The house was generally clearly very well looked after and well equipped, including internet and iPod dock.

There is a winding road with no pavement down to the beach as the other review mentions, but Watergate Bay at the bottom of the hill is one of the nicest beaches in the area.

The ups and downs.

  • 4 of 5

Seascape is a large, well appointed and comfortable house but it is not clear from the photos that it is situated right on a busy corner, which was a cause for concern when getting the cars in and out. The owners have thought of most things and we managed to fit three couples and seven children into the light and airy rooms. We spent a happy, busy week up and down the country roads to the nearby beaches. Watergate Bay was not our favourite and we missed being able to walk - safely - through fields or footpaths. The road down to the bay from the house is very busy with traffic and there are no pavements. We would have liked to use the garden more but there was inadequate garden furniture for comfort. The weather was mixed and we would have appreciated it if the television had worked in the children's playroom to amuse them with a DVD. Overall we were impressed with the house and it was clean and well presented. We did not eat out much but self-catered. The local Jamie Oliver restaurant - whilst being a tourist attraction in its own right - is exorbitantly expensive.

Location

From the Owner

We bought Seascape in December 2010 and spent 12 months renovating the property from the ground up! Having holidayed in the Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay area for 10 years since starting our family, we find ourselves drawn to the area more and more frequently to escape the pressures of modern life. The amazing coastline and its fantastic beaches provide something for everyone whether you want an extreme adventure or a chill out sampling the local Cornish produce.
