A beautiful 3 story house set in its own grounds within a National Park, it rests on a hillside surrounded by ancient olive trees in an acre & a quarter of land. It is child friendly with a 50 square meter fenced pool supplied by spring water from its own source, with BBQ and alfresco dining area. Ideally suited for a large family or 2 families with children. Maid service available upon request at small additional cost. Nearby local towns and villages offer a chance to experience real Spain away from hordes of tourists. There are a wide variety of typical Spanish tapas bars and restaurants. (Rute 1.5 miles).

I had always loved Spain and have longed to have a home where I could take my large family to. I began renovating CASA AVA several years ago and been letting it now for nine years now.

I love the area because it gives you a chance to discover the real Spain away from hourdes of tourists. It's easy to get to, only an hour away from Malaga and Granada.

CASA AVA is it the heart of the Spanish olive growing region, with millions of olive trees and stands at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. We are 5 minutes drive from the stunning 30 km Lake Iznajar which is an excellent place for birdwatching where there is a small beach and lakeside tapas bar.

What makes this villa unique

CASA AVA is not overlooked so you have a feeling of privacy you might not get with other holiday rentals. Wake up to the sounds of nightingales singing and view vultures and eagles in the surrounding hillside, a bird watchers paradise. We are 1.5 miles from Rute with a large selection of Spanish tapas bars and restaurants.

Outside: The patio offers sun beds and dining areas with large picnic benches under grape vines, parasols or in the sun for the sun worshippers. Within the fenced pool area shade is provided by a large bamboo covered pergola. The pool is directly visible from the kitchen. Private garden with 36 olive trees in an acre and a quarter of fenced and gated land. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service & cleaning are available at an additional cost. Rental rates are inclusive of all bed linen, towels (except bath and beach towels) electricity, water & after cleaning services.

A rural getaway

Just the place for a quiet get-together of a large family. A beautiful setting for this big, traditional farmhouse, off the beaten track. Some charming, old-fashioned towns to visit and shop, but recommend having basic Spanish as few English speakers about.

The night sky is spectacular. The local dogs howl through the night, the only interruption to the peaceful setting.

Casa Ava was a perfect family vacation home!

Everyone in the family, from pre-teens to grandparents, loved Casa Ava. Comfortable, beautiful decor, great pool, perfect al fresco dining spots, ideal location for sightseeing. The owners and their representative could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. Hope we can return someday!

Perfect and breathtaking scenery

The location is peferct for tourist who intend to visit cordoba and granada and malaga

All in the driving distance of an hour

Secluded and privacy for families

Grapes,figs and olive trees surround the villa

The pool is quite large than the pic shows

The owner and property manager kept very good comunication with us

Keys of the property were sent as soon as booking was confirmed

Property manager kimberley was very helpful and kept in touch throughout our stay

Rustic, away from it all

We stayed at Casa Ava for a week and had a fantastic time. The house was a rustic farm house nicely presented in a wonderful area. Directions to the villa were fab, we found it first time! Kimberly was more than helpful with recommendations in addition to those provided by the owner, for places to eat out and visit.

We had a fabulous time at the house and would definitely recommend for those who like peace and quiet, not being overlooked in a wonderful rural setting with a couple of picturesque villages on your door step.

Una casa muy cómoda y amplia. Fácil de encontrar y acceder y con unos alrededores preciosos.

Estuvimos pasando el fin de año en Casa Ava con unos amigos y quedamos todos encantados. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y hay baño privado en las habitaciones dobles, lo que es muy conveniente. Salón muy cómodo con muchos sofás, ideal cuando se va en grupos grandes. Además incluye un baúl lleno de juegos para todas las edades!! Los niños estuvieron muy entretenidos!!!. La localización permite un acceso fácil y rápido y está próximo al embalse de Iznajar y el pueblo del mismo nombre, cuya visita recomiendo.

Si tengo que poner alguna pega, es que al ser las ventanas de madera no encajan a la perfección y entra frío por ellas, lo que hace necesario tener encendida la chimenea y la calefacción para mantener la casa calentita.

En cualquier caso es una casa muy recomendable y no descartamos repetir, aunque esta vez cuando haga menos frío y podamos aprovechar la piscina!

100% payment is required at time of booking for all rentals including overseas rentals. All wire transfer charges are to be paid by the sender. The deposit is nonrefundable. The balance is due 12 weeks prior to holiday commencement. Should cancellation occur after final payment then total amount payable(less deposit) will be based:84-29 days before holiday begins, 50% refunded, 28-15 days 25% refunded, 14-1 day 10% refunded.

Changeover Day:
Preferred Saturday change over but flexible.

Notes on prices:
High season is from July to end of August rental is £1500/week. Mid season includes June and September rental is £1000/week. Low season is from October to end of May rental rates is £800/week (excluding Xmas & New Years which is considered high season).
