Casa azure is set in a large private Mediterranean garden (1000 sq metres) with a private well maintained swimming pool approx' 8 metres x 5 metres. The villa has large windows facing the mountains woods and coastal area to take in the panoramic views. Casa Azure enjoys an exclusive position on the very edge of the urbanization giving the best combination of access - utility services and the open countryside. With a short access time to the shops & bars where live music is played - play & sports areas, numerous coves - creeks and blue flag beaches - you can enjoy peace and privacy or all the normal thrills of holidaying on the Spanish coastline. Originally built as an artists studio - it has a light and open feel to the living space. With a new advanced air-conditioning system - a new modern kitchen with a new INDUCTION hob and new oven - a double bath to 'luxuriate' in and of course a flat screen tv/dvd/cd plus a WIFI internet connection. There is an enjoyable exclusive garden and private swimming pool with Roman Steps for safety and ease of access. The Universal Studios theme park is just half an hours drive away.

Casa Azure is approximately 35 minutes drive from Reus Airport and ten minutes or so from the town centre of L'Ametlla Dea Mar. In L'Ametlla de Mar there is a MEDICAL CENTRE, TRAIN STATION, supermarkets, restaurants, boutiques, bars and all of the general facilities of a small town. L 'Ametlla de Mar is a LIVING Spanish fishing village and not a holiday resort purely for tourists. This is it's charm. Authenticity.

Casa azure was designed by myself to a high standard of construction and built by a leading local construction firm specializing in bespoke designs. The idea was to create a villa/house with some spirit and atmosphere. it was originally designed as an artists studio villa with large windows looking out own to the inspiring mountains, woods and coastal area. it has spacious light spirited feeling within.

Why SAFI SCHUIJREN chose L'Ametlla de Mar

The property resides in a conservation area on the very edge of an urbanization. With all the benefits of civilization - water - electricity - communications - ease of access - refuse collection etc - but with the openness of the countryside - and a wide panoramic view of mountains, woods and coastal area from the villa. Also it is not far from local shops - village and railway station - airport. The property is only made available selectively. The motivation is to maintain a good general 'feeling' with the villa, of positivity, warmth and light.

Little traffic, swimming pool with safer Roman Steps. The property has three showers, two internally and one externally. The property is only made available for a short period in the high summer season as the we wish to restrict any attrition to the property, maintaining a good essence and feeling to the villa.

Notes on accommodation: 6 persons can be accommodated plus a very small child (a cot can be arranged plus baby high chair) Outside: The swimming pool is private and is located in an exclusive garden - the pool size is circa 8 x 5 metres with a depth of over 2 metres at the deep end - it has roman steps which are safer to use on entry and egress than ladder type access - the pool is only normally heated in the winter. There is also an external shower area by the pool pump house. The garden is circa 1000 sq metres (large) comprising of palms and Mediterranean plants. There is a patio area -(covered) outside the entrance to the villa and a patio area adjacent to the pool - there is a stainless steel barbecue - sun loungers - garden chairs and a garden table with an additional bench on the side of the villa Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (for bathroom & kitchen) & bed linen are provided inclusive (not large beach towels). The property is cleaned before you enter and is cleaned on your departure (unless any other arrangements are agreed upon)

Circa 2 km to beaches and coves - accessible by walking - cycling or car - Las Tres Cales - means the three coves (please note - there are many coves and creeks there) - the beaches are blue flag - the coves and beaches are discrete with quite some privacy for bathing - access cycling - driving approx 10 minutes - access by walking - this depends on your walking style - circa 15 - 25 minutes.


Reus Airport is Circa 48 Km (29 Miles) - Barcelona Airport Is Circa 145 Km (92 Miles) by car from the villa Casa Azure. The use of a car is recommended although not totally essential as there is a bus service from Tres Cales To L'amettla De Mar (and The Beaches There)


Casa Azure Is Circa 5 Km From L'amettla De Mar town and the railway station. 49km From Tarragona/port Aventura/Salou - 36 Km From Tortosa and the river Ebro - 150 km from Barcelona.

Casa azure whilst enjoying a location in a conservation area with mountains woods and sea is but 1 km from shops & restaurants and 5 km from L'amettla de mar with it's railway station - post office - supermarkets - banks -boutiques and highly praised restaurants (as shown on tv) - L'Amettla is a working fishing village/town/resort with year year around residents - with a local Catalan charm - many festivals and cultural celebration. There is a nearby ceramics museum at Sant Jordi a few km up the the road from Casa azure. Slightly further afield will bring you to Tarragona or Tortosa - ancient roman settlements - cave paintings from pre-historic times in the nearby mountains - castles from the knights lining the meandering river Ebro - Catalunya has been described as a country in it's own right - that also includes the varied and very green scenery - nightclubs in Salou for party goers ( and a few closer by) and not forgetting Universal Studios Theme Park by Salou - a sort of Disneyland is but 49 Km away.

25% on booking and the balance to be paid 10 weeks before the booked holiday date. Payments can be made by cheque or direct bank transfer. Or Owners Direct but they charge an extra percentage on your payment. PayPal is possible.

Changeover Day:

Change over day is normally Saturday to Saturday in the months of July-August - there is flexibility at other times. Arrival times are from 4 pm and departure times are 10 am. On days of arrival and departure - there is some flexibility on those times.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
