The 'Gîte de Gray la Jolie' is located in the very center of the old town on a small tranquil street. Yet everything is outside your door: bakeries, cafes, shops and restaurants. The owners who live in the main part of the house are able to offer advices for your holidays. Also they will gladly share their passion: Claire is practicing ayurvedic massage (Indian relaxation method); Olivier is a cabinetmaker-restorer, he also has two other activities : a boutique of antiques and local wine shop in Gray. The apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated with some antiques from the area. Gray is a beautiful hill town of 8,000 situated on the banks of the Saône River with it’s pleasant tourist’s harbor. All along the ancient streets, many 16th century houses and recognized historic monuments (Renaissance Town Hall, typical Basilica, Museum). Visited, but not overly-touristy, it is well situated for visiting the vineyards of 3 famous wine regions: Burgundy, Alsace and Jura / Arbois.

Greetings from “Down Under !”. Gîte de Gray la Jolie est un gîte très jolie, c’était une bonne vacance. B and J, Glenfield, New Zealand.
With a great prospect outside and a great view inside, we spent a relaxing holiday in this fondly decorated apartment set in this pleasant town of Gray. Family K, Freiberg, Germany.
Merci, merci bien pour votre hospitalité !! Thank you very much for making our stay in lovely Gray so wonderful. It as been a great escape from noise and crowded city Utrecht in Holland, and it felt like we spent a week in a French movie from the 1800’s ! So beautiful decorated … like a fairy tale ! Hope to see you next year. Family C, Utrecht, Holland.
Un séjour dont on se souviendra ! Merci ! Family P, Montréal, Canada and Southampton, England.
Hola, muchas gracias por todo. Estuvo usted muy amable i generoso. Te escriba esta pequena nota para agradecerme a todo i te prefiero una vida Buena. Al final un salud cordial. S, Barcelona, Spain.
We two 70 plus experienced renters had a great fortnight in this unusual house and delightful town. The description is accurate but we have 2 reservations, neither very serious. First, while the 3 bedrooms are spacious there's a lack of comfortable sitting facilities. Second, the outside area is rather unkempt - the bushes need trimming & weeds cleared. The property is well equipped for cooking and was very clean on our arrival. The owners are very helpful but not intrusive, and Olivier speaks good English. Street parking is handy, but we prefered to use a small carpark about 100 yards away. The town is better than described with lots of seating on the river banks and a lot of boat traffic through the lock. We used the cafe "Les 2 Terasses" & the restaurants Olivier recommended. Very good value for money.
