Tubbs Delight is a cozy furnished 3 bed bungalow with incredible views in the heart of the stunning South Devon countryside. In the quiet village of Malborough, with 2 pubs, a shop and a post office only a few minutes walk away. Large decked patio with fantastic panoramic countryside view and a sunken 4 person Spa pool (spa available subject to conditions & additional charge). We are totally dog friendly. With plenty of walking from the door, and the nearest footpath takes you down to the coast at Hope Cove. South Devon AONB (Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has 232 miles of public footpaths. Tubbs Delight is a Walkers are welcome property with a drying area for wet muddy clothes and shoes, a washing machine and dryer, an outside tap for cleaning.

About Debbie Sharkey

Tubbs Delight has been looked after by the same family since it was built in the 1960's. It has always been a great family self catering holiday rental in Devon. The second generation now maintains the property and it has changed immensely from its humble beginnings. Tubbs Delight is constantly being refurbished and updated. I have tried to make the bungalow as comfortable as I can for you as it is important to me that you enjoy your holiday. Having lived there as a child I consider Tubbs Delight my baby and love relaxing down there. For me its a get way from the phone, WiFi and computer (although you don't have to) and its a chance to go walking in the countryside and rock pool investigating on the beach.

Why Debbie Sharkey chose Malborough

"Far from the madding crowd" is exactly how I would describe Tubbs Delight. Even more so in the Winter when you can see snow on Dartmoor.

My parents bought it as a family getaway. They loved the village, countryside and beaches. The village is self supporting with the co-op shop so you can just arrive and sit out looking at the view all day long.

What makes this bungalow unique

It is the view from the rear of the property which is breathtaking and has not changed in decades.

The decking from the lounge houses the 4 person jacuzzi (which is available at an additional cost and subject to conditions) and its amazing how many stars you can see at night.

If you are an ardent walker (with or without a dog) you hardly need to use the car. Tubbs delight is a Walkers are welcome property with a drying area for wet muddy clothes and shoes, a washing machine and dryer, an outside tap for cleaning and a jacuzzi for relaxing those aching limbs.

Tubbs Delight is a sustainable home with cavity wall insulation, heat recovery system, PV and Solar hot water. I am working towards a carbon zero holiday home.

Booking Notes:
Booking are usually Saturday to Saturday. The jacuzzi is an additional £55 per week if required. A 25% deposit is due on booking. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to your holiday start date.
For last minute bookings you must contact the seller immediately and pay by bank transfer.
Payments may be made direct to the owners bank account or by cheque. A booking form will be sent to you with all relevant information.
A " Housekeeping charge" of £100 per booking is required. This amount will be returned if the property is left clean and tidy.

Changeover Day:
Changeover Day is Saturday, although on off season breaks it is flexible. Please note the changeover period is arrival at 2.00pm and departure by 10.00am the following Saturday to allow time for cleaner/gardener.

Notes on accommodation: Heating, electricity and WIFI are included in the price. DOGS are VERY WELCOME providing owners are respectful of the accommodation and leave it in the same clean and tidy condition in which it is presented to them. Pets are charged at £15 each per week (£10 each per short break). Smoking is not permitted at Tubbs Delight. Outside: The terraced south-facing garden is a sun-trap year round. You will hear the sounds of birds singing, and will see cows and sheep grazing. On winter days you can clearly see Dartmoor. With a grass lawn for playing games or lounging, and shade under the large umbrella on the patio for enjoying cool drinks, the garden makes a lovely alternative to the beach. Later in the evening, enjoy sunset dining at the alfresco table and chairs, and the outdoor BBQ. The decking houses the 4 person jacuzzi which is available at an additional cost and subject to conditions. The views from the rear of the property are breathtaking and have not changed in decades. Utility Room: The Utility room/garage houses the washing machine, dryer and freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen not provided Other: Sunken 4 person Spa pool (spa available subject to conditions & additional charge). Table and chairs and a brick BBQ for those hot Summer days !!!
